Following on from saga about plants I…
Following on from saga about plants I ordered from a reader offer in the Daily Mail of which Your Garden is the actual merchant.
Initial delivery time stated within 7 days which due to current situation should have taken within 14 days. When enquiring by phoning Mailshop an automated message then stated 21 days. After about 3 weeks I then received email direct from Your Garden informing me that it could take a further 3 weeks before I receive plants and asking me to confirm whether I want to pursue or to cancel order. I then tried contacting them by telephone them on which proved to be a premium number costinGB me over £13.00.
I will never use Mailshop or Your Garden again and recommend other people to avoid using them like the plaque.
Absolutely disgusting in the way Your Garden is making money from telephone calls and that Mailshop is compliant in directing customers to them.
Ordered garden furniture which was in…Bad service
Ordered garden furniture which was in stock should have been delivered on 1/6/20 been chasing up for the last 3 days no joy from customer services checked on Clifford James who say they are out of stock James from customer services said on Monday that my order had been sent to the wrong place today I'm told by the manager I will have to wait until they get a response from the warehouse maybe if would have direct I would not be in this position also the delivery charge is half the price order number 100570751
Ordered a garden trimmer on Sunday 24th…
Ordered a garden trimmer on Sunday 24th March from the mail shop as a surprise for my husband as his previous one had broken. A few hours later one arrived without my knowledge he’d ordered one himself. I immediately messaged to cancel the order and was told it had been forwarded to the supplier. I did not hear anything and the money was debited from my card so I messaged again with no reply.
The item arrived on the 30th May. I intended to return it today 1st June but then realised I would have to pay for return and when I phoned to get advice the phone charge was 55p min + surcharge. I’m disgusted.

No support provided for order.
I ordered three bamboo plants costing £130 in April which haven’t been delivered. The confirming email doesn’t tell you who the supplier is and the contact tel is no help at all. I feel I have had my money stolen, as this is fraud, with a deliberate attempt to stop you finding out what happened to your order.I won’t ever order anything connected to the Daily Mail again and will be complaining until I get a full refund.

I bought a cross trainer from them on…
I bought a cross trainer from them on the 17th March for £299 which broke 6 weeks later, despite me contact them numerous times by email (as there is no phone number) they just keep asking me for my order number which I provide and then never hear back from them. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from them unless you want to lose your money.

Said they would be in touch but have not
This is my second review regarding Mailshop. After receiving no response from them regarding making a return, I posted a review here. Mailshop responded here saying they would be in touch with me. They have not been in touch. I still have the item with no prospect of being able to return it.
I ordered A book from the mailshop On…
I ordered A book from the mailshop On the 23rd of March. It was to be delivered directly to my son in Solihull. (I live in Leicester) I did not get any confirmation of the order but I just thought they would be in touch when it was ready for delivery. A few days later my son phoned to say he had confirmation of my order. The money had been withdrawn from my account, then sometime in April I got a quick flash message on my screen to say it had been delivered.
Good I thought job done. Except it had not been delivered at all. I sent a message to mail shop who replied that they could find no record of this order. I could not help them as I had no record either. At this time I did not realise that they had sent the confirmation to my Son. A couple of weeks ago I saw my Son who had all the info on his phone, so I got the order number and sent to mailshop and I have heard nothing since. Still no book, still no refund. And now they have changed their website and I do not know how to contact them.

Bad communication and even worse service
I ordered £112 of plants on 04/04/20. Despite multiple attempts to contact through email to find out about delivery, I had only one response, The plants would arrive by 23/04/20. They did not.
By telephone a week ago the Mail Shop representative said the order would take 21 days, by this point it was over 5 weeks. They also said the lack of response was due to emails being over 3 weeks behind being answered and that it was the nursery who had not fulfilled the order.
Today the plants have arrived. They are (bar 2) damaged, bent, broken, dying and look like they have come from a bargain bin. They were packaged in a haphazard way and some were upside down. The flower spikes that are not already past best are broken.
I am beyond disappointed and would rather I had been advised if the order could not be fulfilled successfully, than wait this long to receive plants that may not even be rescuable.

Take no responsibility for the purchase
Hi, the biggest dissapointment with Mailshop is if anything goes wrong they just revert you back to the seller. I bought three duvets from them without knowing where they were from 2 were fine 1 was not fit for purpose. Contacted Mailshop who advised please contact Groundlevel well look up there reviews. Subject to say no joy there and resulted in Single Duvet sadly collected by the binmen today wripped of for £25 quid like being mugged. Get back to normal times and buy in the shop.
In response to mailshop update.
I ordered the duvets in November delivered late December and had various email correspondence from mailshop saying they couldn't do anything and the purchase was through Groundlevel who refused to take back the duvet as it had been used for a week. At no time did Mailshop suggest they could offer a refund. After the horse as bolted springs to mind.

Very bad service. No contacts answered!
We put a large order for various garden items & we've been waiting for a very long time with no sign yet. We have tried to contact them via email, phone & Facebook message with no response. The one response we had was through Facebook messages saying 21 working days for delivery. This has now passed with no sign of delivery. It surprises me that the Mail has let this company use their name as the obviously can't run a business. I would advise anyone who is thinking of using mail shop.com not to, save your money and by from elsewhere.

I ordered a floor mop on May 22nd and paid for next day delivery. I wrote to them when it had not arrived after 3 days - here is their reply:
Your order has a lead time to ship of 5 days (lead time to ship is a delay the merchant places on an item before the item is sent to the courier).
If an item with a lead time to ship is ordered on next day delivery, the item will arrive the next working day after the lead ship time.
Your order should arrive on 27th May.

Not fit to be in business
I ordered 1 x date palm but mistakenly ordered 2 so I sent an email straight away to correct it. When order confirmation came through, the quantity order and payment taken was for 2. I sent another 3 x emails and phoned (managed to get through after trying many times) and spoke to Michael who said he would sort it out, change the order quantity to one, credit me for one and ring me back to confirm. I heard nothing from him. The order had not been despatched at this stage but eventually 2 turned up. What an appalling customer service department! Will never order from them again, I don't know how they can stay in business with the disgusting reviews they have accumulated.
I received the reply below from Mail Shop which I find pathetic. Mail Shop should be taking ownership of their business, not ignoring but replying to customer's emails and not telling them lies when they say they will ring them back. I will never use them again and new potential customers should beware. I wish the Daily Mail newspaper would get involved because it also reflects on them.

Shocking lack of customer service
Shocking lack of customer service
Order number 100541707
Despite placing an order for plants totalling £132 and trying to contact Mail Shop without success a number of times for a delivery date as there was not one advertised.
I am still waiting for my plants to be delivered, I have also tried to contact the supplier without any success. Mail Shop was recommended to me as a fast reliable service but I’m afraid that I will not be recommending them to any of my friends or family.
My money was taken out of my bank the same day as I ordered but the account still shows payment pending, does this mean my order has not been processed? I don’t know as I can not get through to speak to anyone, it seems that they take your money and forget about you. I would of thought a large company such as this would keep customers regularly updated or at the very least reply to messages sent.
I am now wondering what condition the plants will be in if and when I receive them.I am so disappointed if I knew how to cancel the order I would.

I am writing to complain about your supplier You Garden!
I am writing to complain about your supplier yougarden.I recently ordered the Dahlia promotion. I realise that the plants were "free "but I still had to pay postage. When the plants arrived they were in an appalling condition some were already dead with leaves trapped in edge of the box. They were slimy and horrible. In an effort to try to save them I immediately potted them up in a good quality compost, to no avail. Only 2 have survived and to be frank, look very sick, I don't know if they will survive! I am surprised that the Daily Mail would deal with a company like this, it can't be good for your image to be associated with such a company. In my complaint to them which unsurprisingly hasn't been answered, notwithstanding their "Lifetime Guarantee" I did say that I would contact you as well. My o/no was OR6436785. Regards Mr Geoffrey Drain

Have to agree with all the negative…
Have to agree with all the negative comments re customer service unfortunately. My bugbear is I am not receiving nectar points on purchases despite my card being linked to Mailshop. Nectar direct me to Mailshop and they direct me back to Nectar. Have given up now. It's a shame as they have a great range of products at competitive prices but won't be ordering again.
Terrible service, or total lack of!
Like many others, am totally appalled at the lack of customer service/communications from Mail Shop.
I’ve emailed on numerous occasions to try to arrange a return of a heavy product that arrived too late.
Having tried to cancel the order, unsuccessfully, again due to lack of communication, I’m left unable to arrange a refund.
I’d hoped that ordering from such a big name, I’d have some security with the service.
How wrong!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
WARNING - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
We spent over £200 with MailShop 46 days ago and the goods have still not arrived; and despite numerous requests we have had no communication from them at all.
Update - they have finally contacted us and offered a ‘part refund’, blaming their supplier for the issue. How can it be right that they will not give us our money back for the goods we have not received. Disgraceful that 46 days on they still haven’t refunded all the money they owe me.
To avoid disappointment do not use this company - spend your money with a reliable reputable retailer instead.
