Lyca mobile is a scam. I wish I could give them no star at all. It is the most awful experience I have ever had in Australia. Worst network and coverage. I bought a one-year plan. But did not have any coverage. I asked for a refund, and it has been over one week since I have been waiting for a refund while I must turn off my SIM card. Now, I do not have access to my number, as if I out port my number they would not do the refund. People, please avoid Lyca forever. I am constantly calling them but one costomer service person disconnected phone on me. They ask me to wait for three weeks, not using my number. They do that to force me to transfer my number so they do not have to refund. They are scam.

I've been trying to contact their customer care team for over A WEEK now! I called a few times a day, morning and afternoon, but no one answered!! The longest wait time was 50 mins, still no one picked up!! I just simply need to do an eSim swap for a new phone. I've also tried to do it online but kept getting a red error with no explaination what it was, and can't get pass that screen! Terrible experience! If Lyca mobile still cares, please help me out!!

I purchased a SIM card from lycamobile, registration of the SIM card did not work after inserting and the company has charged me 3 times the regular amount and continue charge me monthly. Customer support has not answered one phone call or email query.

I tried to cancel my contract within the cooling-off period, but there was ZERO reply from them, and now they have been trying to charge me for the last three months despite MULTIPLE attempts to get them to cancel. Now I've just received a 'pre-legal' notice saying that my account has been passed on to debt collectors. What a disgusting excuse for a company.

TLDR: Don’t bother with Lycamobile, it’s a total pain in the neck!
Details: Had a terrible time trying to get one of Lycamobile’s eSIMs to work. Purchased from the website, went through the steps to activate it, scanned the QR code, and never received a mobile number. Also no email confirmation received from Lycamobile. Money was taken though! Spent over an hour on hold on their customer service line being told to use their AI chatbot, which didn’t know what I was talking about. Finally spoke to a real person, who couldn’t find the email address I had registered with, and could only suggest emailing for a refund. It’s only $6 (if something is too good to be true it probably is) but I’m concerned I’ve been roped into auto top up, so I’ll give it a go! Best avoid this company and go for a more reputable one.

I signed up and they said they can't find my sign up email or name, but full $110 money came out of my account. Never received any sign up activation emails . Call them up the send email us still no response. Sent a email to 3 email address of theres including the trust pilot reply email still no reply. Been waiting 3 weeks

Lyca Mobile Australia is a Complete Joke - DO NOT BUY!!
I regret ever giving Lyca Mobile Australia a cent. I bought a prepaid SIM earlier this month, and from the moment I tried to register, it's been nothing but a circus of incompetence. The app spits out the same useless ERROR every single time.
Their so-called "customer support" might as well not exist. I tried calling hours on hold, listening to fake apologies while no one ever answers. Emails? I sent multiple over a week ago and got absolutely nothing back. Their CHATBOT LIA is the cherry on top: a mindless, scripted loop that can't solve even the simplest issue.
It honestly feels like they take your money and vanish. The contrast with Lyca in Europe is embarrassing, over there, they actually care. They were quick and helpful. Here in Australia, it's like they don't even pretend. It's disappointing, and frankly infuriating to see a company run with this level of negligence. WHAT A JOKE!!
Lyca Mobile Australia is a waste of time, a waste of money, and a guaranteed source of stress. AVOID THEM!

Lycamobile is hands down the worst telecommunications company I’ve ever dealt with, and I strongly urge anyone considering them to look elsewhere. My experience was nothing short of infuriating and felt more like a scam than a legitimate service.
After running out of data, I attempted to top up and upgrade to a larger bundle through the Lycamobile app. But every time I tried, the app kept throwing up error messages and would not process the purchase. This all happened outside of Lycamobile’s so-called “customer service hours”, meaning I had no way of getting help.
Meanwhile, Lycamobile burned through my top-up credit automatically, charging me for tiny, useless amounts of data — without giving me a chance to apply the credit to the actual bundle I wanted. I essentially lost my money for nothing.
The next day, after being on hold for an absurd amount of time, I finally spoke to a rude and unhelpful customer service rep who simply said “bad luck”. No refund, no fix, and zero accountability.
The app is broken and unreliable, making it impossible to manage your account properly. It’s hard to believe this is an actual telecommunications company — everything about Lycamobile feels dodgy, disorganised, and deliberately misleading.
Their business model seems to rely on people giving up chasing small amounts of lost money. Their customer service is a complete disgrace, and their technical systems are not fit for purpose.

for a overcharge ( been charged 3 times for 1 bundle)
I have contacted the customer service and what I received is the same automatic Email over and over again.
now in the last 2 weeks I'm getting responses that my bundle expired so we can't process the refund....some useless people are working there... I don't recommend to any new people to join this network as the sign is not working in a lot of places.( you will have to pay to join 5G and some networks are giving you 5G for free)

My service mysteriously stopped working in mid January. I have been trying to contact Lycamobile since then---the only responses I have been getting are LLM slop from a completely incompetent customer service agent named Hassan Bellati. I still do not have service more than two months later.
