Account frozen with no support
Ticket Ref: 343909
My account was frozen 7 days ago due to KYC checks. Since then my account has been frozen and I have cash trapped uninvested. Having filled out the necessary forms, there has been no review. I have emailed the support email address three times since with zero response. While I understand the regulatory requirement for KYC checks, this treatment is unacceptable. I have launched a formal complaint with complaints email address for the unacceptable delays, losses due to uninvested cash and distress this has caused. No response from them either and I will be escalating further with the regulator shortly.

Easy to use
Easy to use, lots of helpful information, easy to manage your funds and see your progress.
Great Interface
Great Interface. Some limitations on SIPP and Cash ISA yet, THE BEST usability. I use 3 platforms for Trading. I use this as main, Trading 212 and Fidility as support APP
Unable to log in for 3 days now
Unable to log in for 3 days now. Multiple emails to support email and use of the contact form - the only way of trying to get help. No response yet and unable to access my investments over this time which I think is pretty unacceptable for an investment platform.

Once I came to know that it is not a…
Once I came to know that it is not a day trading app,and also how to navigate the app. I am extremely pleased with the amount of etf choices I have.. been using for 6 months now ,won't ever go to paid platform for my style of passive investing.
Referral bonus is always very low…
Referral bonus is always very low values, feels a bit like a bait n switch, has never been anywhere near the advertised £100. Always on the bottom end of the range. Otherwise the platform is OK, not intuitive for new users though, I always have had to walk friends and family through how to use it.
Low fees
Low fees, easy to use platform, with great insights about the stocks contained within funds/ETFs. Works brilliantly.
Appalling service – complete blackout on communication!
Update: Following InvestEngine’s public response to this review on 18 May, I emailed them the same day as requested with “Trustpilot Review” in the subject line.
On 19 May, I received a reply apologising for the delay, stating that my ISA transfer was “currently with Moneybox”, that their ISA team would chase this that day, and that I would be updated.
Unfortunately, despite this assurance, I have received no further communication or update.
I fully understand that ISA transfers can take time. However, my main concern remains the lack of communication and failure to provide updates, even after repeated chasing and a public commitment to review my case as a priority.
As things stand, I have now had to raise a formal complaint regarding both the handling of the transfer and the poor customer service experience.
-------------------------------------------------
I initiated a cash ISA transfer from Moneybox on 4th May. InvestEngine confirmed receipt of the instruction via email that same day—but since then, nothing.
I emailed InvestEngine on 11th May asking for an update, and followed up again on 14th May. No reply. No explanation. Nothing.
To make matters worse, there is no phone number, no live chat, no way to speak to a human. Your money is in limbo and you are left completely in the dark.
This is utterly unacceptable from a company handling your finances. In 2026, a financial service that cannot provide basic communication or customer support is beyond frustrating—it’s irresponsible.
I strongly advise anyone considering InvestEngine to think twice. If you value transparency, communication, or peace of mind, this is not the company for you.

Such a streamlied and simple portoflio platform. Seemingly no fees for majority of trading I regularly invest in. Great customer service.

Excellent very easy to use great set up very informative and explains everything. From someone who is not tech savvy, one of the lads in work has used them for years and has now got six or seven of the ones on our shift investing with InvestEngine . Very happy would always recommend. David
I think this is the best UK platform for long-term investing
InvestEngine is the best platform I have found so far for long-term investing. It has several key advantages for the long-term investor, and a slightly longer list of disadvantages which I don't think are relevant if you are investing for the long term. I have listed these below, as well as a brief comparison with other fee-free platforms.
Pros:
1) No platform or transaction fees
2) Fractional investing - this is lacking in many other fee-free platforms, and is critical if you intend to regularly invest small sums. As far as I can tell, InvestEngine is the only fee-free platform which offers this.
3) Broad range of ETFs covering major indices, as well as actively managed theme-based ETFs.
4) Simple, easy-to-use platform which works well on desktop, mobile, and app. This ought to be the market standard, but sadly many of the older, bigger players are still catching up in this area.
(Relative) cons:
1) ETFs only. No unit trusts, no investment trusts, and no individual shares. I don't think this is a big deal for the long-term investor.
2) No LISA or JISA.
3) Transactions not resolved in real-time. They pool purchase orders and resolve them once a day to save costs. I don't think this is an issue for the long-term investor.
4) No limit orders. This is consequence of (3) and not a big deal if you are investing regularly for the long term.
5) No transparency around bid-offer spread. I don't think this is technically possible under their current model, given the lack of real-time dealing. But I have not noticed huge discrepancies in the prices paid.
Comparisons with other fee-free platforms:
1) Freetrade: Freetrade offers access to individual stocks and unit trusts. However it does not offer fractional investing. They also charge a small forex fee on non-sterling transactions, which gets cheaper if you pay a monthly subscription.
2) IG: Similar to Freetrade, with additional access to CFDs. More detailed market research available through the platform. Still no fractional investing.
3) Prosper: This is a new kid on the block. Fee refunds on a limited selection of index funds which are already low-cost to begin with, which makes investing in them through Prosper completely fee-free. Unclear if this will persist in the long-term, or is just an early move to grow market share by a new player. No fractional investing.

InvestEngine ignored my instruction to…
InvestEngine ignored my instruction to cancel a withdrawal and sent my funds to a closed bank account. It has been 10 days and the money is still in limbo, and I remain in the dark as to the location of the money. I registered a formal complaint 5 days ago and I am now being ignored with no apparent effort being made by InvestEngine to trace the funds. Absolutely shameful support from a regulated platform.

Easy to use app
I love this app. It’s really easy to use. Lots of choice of funds and providers. Videos are available and a group you can join where people can ask questions or put forward ideas. Easy to transfer money in. You can just set up regular payments and sit and watch your portfolios grow over the years.
Zero Customer support
Seem like a decent company to invest but I’ve recently hit a snag . I’ve emailed 5 times the support centre over the last week and still no reply . Customer support seems woeful . Probably will withdraw what I have to another ISA as just can’t get a reply and I don’t have a clue what to do .
Customer support - 0 stars

Invest engine does not have a customer…
Invest engine does not have a customer helpline, an email service is the only way to get hold of them. I have sent several emails since having my account. Takes several days to receive a response and recently no reply at all. Other emails that have been answered don’t really answer the questions asked. So very disappointing customer service when investing quite a large amount of money with them,

From No Pension Plan to Feeling Secure About My Future
Before finding InvestEngine, I honestly felt quite worried about my retirement future. As someone who has been both self-employed and employed over the years, my pensions were scattered around and I didn’t really have a clear long-term plan in place.
After discovering InvestEngine, everything changed. The platform made it incredibly easy to transfer my existing pension pots into one place and actually start taking control of my future financially.
What I love most is how simple and accessible they make investing feel. I’ve chosen a globally diversified portfolio, and I genuinely feel comfortable and confident having my pension invested with them. Watching my investments grow alongside the global markets has completely changed my mindset around retirement planning.
I had convinced myself it was probably too late to build a meaningful pension pot, but the projections and calculations show that with consistent investing over the next 20 years, I could still build a healthy retirement fund. That gave me a huge sense of reassurance and motivation.
If it wasn’t for InvestEngine, I honestly think I would still be avoiding pension planning altogether out of fear and uncertainty. Instead, I now feel positive, informed, and excited about my financial future.
I’m genuinely so happy I found them and would absolutely recommend InvestEngine to anyone who feels overwhelmed or late to starting their pension journey.
