A little bit of kindness went a long way and I felt all the staff went out of their way to be helpful & ensure I got the cover I needed plus adding a couple of extra sentences to the policy stating that the insurer was aware there is an ancient mineshaft at the bottom of the garden & still provides cover on the normal basis. I was unable to get this added elsewhere. The price was better than last year's and I would recommend Intelligent Insurance to anyone who has slightly unusual circumstances.

Arranged by phone, with Sam who was friendly, efficient, clear and helpful.

Good value renewal price valuing loyal customers, however, instructions not clear when trying to update payment details on line.

Got a really good quote from Intelligent Insurance for Home cover.......until I read the small print Minimum Security - Alarm : The insurer will not pay for any loss or damage caused by theft or attempted theft unless one of the following security devices are fitted, maintained in good working order, and put into effective operation at night and whenever the home is left unattended: • a NSI/SSAIB approved alarm system which is maintained in full working order under an annual maintenance contract • a central station monitored alarm system which is maintained in full working order under an annual maintenance contract • a BT Redcare alarm system which is maintained in full working order under an annual maintenance contract.

This is not mentioned in the main body of the policy which simply asks if you have an alarm fitted or not. The is a sneaky little "endorsements" button near the end that you have to click to open and this is listed in there.

So no alarm, no cover for contents due to burglary/theft etc. This is NOT a standard clause among the majority of insurers.

And insurers wonder why they have a bad reputation.

I caught in the realm of rejection by insurance companies for not insuring my home .Dunno why ? But while searching for reasons,intelligent insurance popped and i followed the procedures.Alas!!! i got a quote . It's worth it.

Needed to revise quote. Was contacted immediately with updated figure. Followed payment instructions and, heyho, policy renewed. So simple

all the info I needed was easy to get at. I could not see exactly how to upgrade to one of the options, but that didn't matter as I didn't want them anyway.

And my renewal premium went down!

A very proactive helpline assistant. Clarified & helped sort a few things I was unsure of. Tipped the balance to this insurance company for house insurance.

Staff at Intelligent Insurance are great to deal with on the phone. Really polite ,friendly and very clear with the cover and policy. They take their time to explain and don't rush you in any way.

They phoned me back supplemental to my chatbot conversation in order to clarify some complex points regarding the build composition of my home. Further I was pleased with the difference with the lump sum vs instalment price and when they phoned me the next day for card payment they were on time and more than removed a 20p price variance.

The process was straight forward, but the price was extortionate.

Called to discuss the renewal of my home insurance. Jack was very helpful and handled my issue very well. We discussed the increased policy cost and can to an agreement of lower cost for the New insurance. I would recommend the company as they listened to my points and reduced the cost

Excellent service and call back.

Extremely disappointed with this insurer, we are in central London and never had a problem with possibility of flooding. On the government site the threat is Very Low with our postcode.
They would not cover for flooding and when spoke to suggested special insurance for £800!
In over 25 years we have never had a problem nor refusal for insurance but having used Money Saving Expert site was tempted by price.
Buyers Beware and oh the next companies quote was good.

The process was easy and straightforward. I was able to get better cover for the same price than my previous insurer who had proposed an 86% increase in premium despite my making no claim during the year.

Had to wait a while for call to be answered. When I was able to speak to someone she dealt with my request smoothly and efficiently. I was able to renew my policy simply after the call.

Good PR. Responded quickly to query. Resolved problem. Was able to speak to someone in person.
