AMAZING EXPERIENCE

Well I must say that my experience with Hotelopia was amazing! I got worry when reading the past reviews, so I messaged Hotelopia with my concerns and with every email I sent, there was many, I received a reassuring and quick response. The final email, Hotelopia, called the hotel I booked and
sent me my reservation number that was given by the hotel. I called the hotel and yes they had my name, date etc. I WILL DEFINITELY BOOK WITH HOTELOPIA IN FUTURE!! This is legit. Ontario Canada.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEI madeervation with…

I made a hotel reservation with hotelopia on 21 Oct. 2021 at 9:00pm. I tried to change the reservation within the hour but could not reach anyone....... the telephone number for customer service was not in service. I sent an email (to the email address that sent me the hotel reservation confirmation) within 8 hours of making the reservation requesting a one day change at the same hotel. I received no reply. A few days later, I emailed the hotelopia headquarters and they responded that I was not entitled to a refund as I had to cancel the reservation before 11:59pm that night (less than 3 hours after making the reservation). I sent another email requesting tha they reconsider as all I wanted was a change to the reservation date and it was not my fault that the customer service they provided was not in service. I have not had a reply. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I think it’s a scam

I think it’s a scam.
I booked a hotel For 2x nights in Toronto through what looked like a West Jet site for the Hyatt. my credit card was billed by hotelopia.com but the hotel have no registration on file and I have received no email confirmation.

DO NOT USE

Booked with them as they had the cheapest price for the hotel we wanted to book for London Comicon, when I booked in July. I was told two weeks before that the hotel is no longer available and to respond to the e-mail or phone for them to arrange alternative accommodation or a refund. The number however is international so would cost me to ring, I e-mailed and it told me I had to ring the number for anything to happen. Tried to contact the actual hotel and they have no record of our booking at all. So I have now e-mailed the head office and yet still have not heard back and there is only one week until Comicon, so have had to book myself alternative accommodation and have no idea if I will get my money back.

Corrected the glitch

Booked a hotel with them in April 2021. Canceled that booking August 23, 2021. They said 5-20 days for my refund.
I got in touch with them on September 21. They told me 3-7 days.
It's now October 2. STILL NO REFUND

HORRIBLE!!!!

Got my refund October 6.

Took a while.

One good thing about this company was the fact they corresponded with me very quickly. I did appreciate that.
I'm happy this has been resolved.

This is not a real business

This is not a real business, more like a scam. They sell hotel reservations without even checking if description matches the reality. And then refuse to refund. I booked a room, when i got there, it was a big mess, staff was under heavy drugs influence, pool was demolished, etc. If I knew I would stay away. Scam scam scam

I would give no stars if I could

I would give no stars if I could. I got a confirmation back with incorrect dates on it. I cannot contact anyone. Incorrect telephone numbers and no replies to emails. Ive probably lost my £600 now. Keep well clear of this bunch !!!

Took me probably a combined 20 hours to…

Took me probably a combined 20 hours to get a refund for my hotel case. I still haven't actually got it. They keep saying the case has been "elevated" and they've "moved it forward". Don't trust any of their words. I booked through Last Minute Travels, so watch for the other subsidiaries too. Really wish they would pay me back for the hours I spent on this.

ZERO STARS

ZERO STARS. I booked a stay in Houston, TX and when I arrived the room was completely disgusting! It was supposed to be non-smoking, but entering the room you could smell smoke and there were burn holes in the bedding. Whole place was nasty and stunk to high heaven!
I tried to get a refund and was told to get in touch Hotelopia. Of course after numerous attempts - no answer to phone calls nor emails. I filed a dispute with the bank because of this and after investigation (and no one was able to get in touch with Hotelopia) I have to pay for the stay even though I didn't stay there. DO NOT USE HOTELOPIA!!!!

Do not book with this service

Do not book with this service. Booked two nights on a cancellable rate. Impossible to contact anyone to change dates. When trying to access website I continually got a “404 site not available essage”. Never again with these scam artists.

The worst

On July 17, 2021, I went through hotelopia to book a room for 2 nights and it said error but still took my money. So I called them to see what's going on and they was acting clueless. Customer service said they didn't capture my money, but yet it'll take 30 days for a refund.. Never will I ever book a room with them or no one

I would give no stars if possible for HOTELOPIA. Do not reserve your hotel with them it’s a scam. All is processed on their end but the hotel will not have any of your reservation info, and good luck trying to get in contact with anyone from hotelopia. I have been back n forth with my credit card company for a 3rd time because of this company. Worst decision you can make is to book with them, you will lose your money or have to deal with yoir credit card company many employees more than once because somehow they manage to provide info that you stayed in the hotel thru them.

The hotel advertised in Norfolk UK was actually in London !

I am just in the process of requesting a complaint form as we had a very unfortunate issue with our hotel booking.
We arrived in Norfolk in the UK to the hotel we had booked earlier that day via Hotelopia and was met by the poor gentleman who owned the hotel that we did not have a reservation with them in Norfolk as advertised on the hotelopia website and all the details of their hotel, address etc and actually it was another Linden hotel in Paddington London , a very long way from where we were !
This left us very distressed as it was late in the evening and did not have anywhere to stay. I also felt for the gentleman as it appeared that I was not the only one who arrives on their door step with the same problem. He had 4 people the evening before and again they were very distressed too. This had reportedly been going on since last October 2020 and the owner of Linden in Norfolk has been unable to contact Hotelopia to correct the mistake on there website.
We found a hotel at extra unplanned costs and extra traveling time which was very stressful.
I hope Hotelopia can address this complaint swiftly and hopefully sort out the error on their website to avoid further distressed clients .

How are these thieves still operating after so many bad reviews! And here is mine to ad to it!

For my Birthday weekend my wife booked a hotel through Hotelopia to stay in Wales Uk. It was for one night stay at the Mercure hotel in Swansea.
After 4 hours travelling we arrived and went to check in.
My wife was shocked to be told by the hotel that her name was not even on their system. She showed the hotel proof of the booking on her phone that her resevation was booked and she had paid £110 for one night.
I must state that the Mercure is not at fault with this, they are a very nice company from past experience and were very helpful with assisting us in trying to contact Hotelopia on there supposed 24 hour emergency number.
But to no avail!
Countless calls and leaving messages but no response.
Fortunately for us we had some very good friends in Wales who very kindly let us stay at their house for the night.
Just to ad, the hotel imformed us that they had to turn away 9 other people that day who had booked through Hotelopia!

I will be taking this up with the federal trade commision and also filing a complaint in the government website

I would like to give them NO STARS

I would like to give them NO STARS. I used Hotelopia to book a room at the Wyndham in Indianapolis on March 21-23, 2021. I showed up for the booking. Our environment was absolutely disgusting and not acceptable. If you would like to see our room I would be more than happy to attach pictures. Brown/Yellow stains on the sheets, crumbs on the floor, dresser drawers broken, coffee pot broken, food droppings the refrigerator, brown substance on phone, and green slime on mirror. The front office employee had very poor customer service. We were not able to speak with the manager. We left the facility and did not stay there. This was on a Sunday so I sent them an email letting them know what happened. If I would have cancelled the reservation right then, I would have at least gotten partial refund back but I didn't feel as thought it was an "Emergency". Wyndham states that they will not refund our money for the reservation because "Hotelopia" has to since we booked the reservation though them. I have spent HOURS on the phone with customer service, who are not helpful. They are denying to refund my money, even though I have documentation and sent the team pictures. They offered me a 10% refund which I denied and stated that I wanted a full refund for the entire booking. No response. The worst part was my 6 year old was just looking to have a night away in a hotel with a pool on spring break. He was crying, he was so upset!

Excellent Service

I can see there are a number of negative reviews about Hotelopia but my recent experience was a 5* one. I had to cancel a hotel booking for Vancouver because our cruise leaving from there was cancelled; it was a non-refundable booking. Charlotte, who dealt with my situation over the phone, was excellent in arranging a refund and the money was credited back onto my card within a few days. Such a pleasant change for someone to take ownership of an issue that is not straightforward and resolve it. Will genuinely use this company again.
