Less than 1 star was not an option

Less than 1 star was not an option, but zero stars has been earned. Customer service is a joke, tickets for maintenance needed have been closed without a remark, Malmö prices on level with Stockholm.

Over a year without possibility of logging into my account, going from email to office to emails and still no solution. Cannot recommend Heimstaden at all, and cannot wait to move out and leave this overpriced landlord behind me.

WARNING!

We don't recommend Heimstaden to rent from them in Linköping. The agent Miss Lindita that showed us 2 apartments thinks that she owns the company or something apparently. She is listing apartments that you are supposed to move in after a month like no one know that we need 3 months notice period when we have to leave, it's like asking people to pay for 3 rents , 2 for the old apartment and one for the other. The biggest joke is that the specific apartment we wanted was listed 2 times again before we showed interest and when we said we wanted it we have to give 3 months notice she claimed that there others who wanted it and she has to go with them, then immediately after our conversation she listed the same apartment again. I moved 3 times in Sweden in other Companies and never seen anything like her ahaha.

Please do not rent from this company

Please do not come here: if you come first put all record about the room, otherwise they will charge you for all more money in your pocket saying that you created that. Whatever you complain or no evidence they dont care. They care about the position and money. Noise is very noisy, they dont care for you too. They just get the work done with their salary. It is the worst place on earth to pay for that money on this place in sweden.

I've never lived with a landlord…

I've never lived with a landlord greedier and more heinous than heimstaden. Absolute worst imaginable. Our oven and stove were broken for almost a month this year. It took them over 3 months to address our request to lower our rent, and now they're offering a 0.1% rent reduction for the inconvenience.

No facility management really, but profit oriented enterprise

In Germany they bought a lot of houses at once. Now we cannot contact our "landlords" anymore unless we use their shady online platform. It's a desaster. They don't repair the houses, they don't pay back the money they owe you, instead they raise the rent. We get the impression that they do not really care about managing flats and tenants properly, they just bought the houses to make profit. Sad!

They don't return the deposit!

They don't return the deposit!
It's been almost a year since the end of the contract and they haven't returned my deposit. They don't respond, they have no customer service. They don't care about German law. I've lost hope of getting my money back.

Overcharge you on leaving their rental apartments

Please avoid this rental company. They will send you a huge invoice on leaving their apartment.

I was new to Sweden and was not familiar with the laws and I was even threatened that they will take me to court if I do not agree to make the payment.I got the invoice one year later after leaving the apartment. Also, during their inspection, I was not informed in detail what will be changed and who needs to change it. I was just told that these things are considered as damage. But an invoice one year later was generated even though some of the things were already fixed by me before leaving the apartment. Eventually I had to agree to pay an amount which was more than one month rental fee as part of the settlement.

Du som nuvarande hyresgäst får alltid en kopia på besiktningsprotokollet, där man kan se om det finns något som måste åtgärdas innan utflytt. Om det finns skador som anses vara större än vanligt slitage kan du som hyresgäst bli ersättningsskyldig. Samma sak om flyttstädningen blir bristfälligt utförd kan även du som hyresgäst bli ersättningsskyldig för kostnaden om vi måste anlita en städfirma. Non-transparent and biased renting corporate

Worst company to get an apartment from them. Their letting agents are so biased and non-transparent that you won't get any think until and unless you have any friend there. So unprofessional.

This company is a GRABAGE

This company is a GRABAGE. One of the shiniest companies you can rent from. I recently moved into one of their premises in Malmo downtown. This is my 4 month, the first month my 25000 SEK bike was stolen from the backyard, which is supposed to be 'gated' and secured. This morning my cargobike christiania model along with a battery of my other cargobike were stolen. I've been contacting the company and it's reckless employees all they could do was feel sorry despite my frequent reminders to install camera surveillance.

I'm planning on leaving the soonest as possible.
Stay away form them to buy your peace of mind.

Hi Bryan. Having your bike stolen is both costly and incredibly sad. An important step in protecting your bike from thieves is to use a heavy-duty lock that makes it difficult for the thief to break open. Remember to use a lock that is recommended by Stöldskyddsföreningen. Put the lock around both the front wheel and frame in a fixed object.
Then if there is access to a bicycle storage room in your property, we always advise our tenants to store the bike there.

Absolutely rubbish - LULEÅ

Absolutely rubbish, liars and money hungry corporate thieves.
12 yrs of renting and in that time they have refused to repair multiple items (windows, blinds, security doors and outdoor areas) as they deem it not cost effective, they cut down all the trees in the common areas with a promise to repair (that was 5 yrs ago, still waiting) and now they have decided to remove all the garage doors, force you to sign a new contract for cold open garage, increase rent by 200kr to 650kr AND charge more for power consumption separately.
They also will 'offer' you a renovation or force you out for 'repairs' to then advise you your rent will increase by 65%, but you are welcome to stay.
They acquired the apartment renovation funds of all tenants when they took over and in 12 yrs absolutely NO renovations ie floors or wallpaper have not been allowed due to the new money grubbing owners - nothing in 12yrs
Additionally they are impossible to contact (random hours on random days locally) and they are not open for visitation locally for problems except on different random days and times.
DO NOT SIGN UP with these guys they are devious, money hungry and blatant liars and frauds.
If I could give zero stars I WOULD.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever, i come from western Europe and i am used to have always welcoming neighbours, i have moved in Solna 2 weeks ago and i feel so uncomfortable.
People stopped me almost every day asking where am i leaving (which apartment), one day a woman followed me to the trash room to check how i have throw the garbage, and started to give me moral about separating the garbage, and saying that she lives in the same building and she was just checking after me.
Landlord have called 3 times this week to confirm where i live because supposedly he has got rumours about the new neighbour( me) is to loud and disturb the others, plus that he claims that i am the only person non swedish that leaves there and people get scared.

I am here to study and work, but i am so disappointed with the disrespect that Swedish people have towards other people!

I have spoken with all my friends and family members and said to them that if you ever see a swedish tourist in Italy, do not welcome them!

The worst rental company I've had the…

The worst rental company I've had the misfortune of dealing with.

They have customer care in the same way I have a pillow to scream into - they absorb what you tell them and do nothing about it.

They don't seem to have a good handle on the concept of tenancies and how properties are supposed to be maintained. It's disgraceful.

These are scammers who are in to make a quick profit but refuse to help with any issues. Run fast, and run far.

Terrible agents (UK offices) recently…

Terrible agents (UK offices) recently took over my apartment block. Worst communication ever, received threatening automated emails for missed rental payments, which was untrue.

When trying to contact them, they are unresponsive and require you to complete everything through an awful portal / app.

🛑 🛑 🛑 DO NOT WORK WITH THIS MAFIA COMPANY!!! ⛔

This company is the real estate mafia of Denmark. They will NEVER GIVE BACK YOUR DEPOSIT. In my case they charged me extra 40k DKK after I cared for the apartment, painted it when we left and cleaned up.

Whatever happens, don't rent from them!

I wish I can rate it 0.
I live in a new production area in “sparres väg Bro”. The worst service ever.
1) My bathroom element “heater” is broken since the day I moved to the apartment(5 months) and yet they didn’t fix it!!! The bathroom is very cold and hard to use in this condition.

2) I have a parking lot with charger, which is not working at all from a week now. I called them to fix it since its very important to charge the car in order to get to my work, and the janitor claimed that its fixed!!. but it got broken after 30 minutes. I called them again and again to fix it but the same thing happened . The charger works maximum 30 minutes.
Despite the fact I need to charge the car to get to work, I can’t use train, and I couldn’t go to work for a week now, they are very bad.
