Gitzo tripods are of undoubted quality and are reassuringly expensive. However there were some good discounts on the website so I ordered on. Less than 24hrs later it was delivered which is fantastic service.

Why did I wait so long ?.
I recently bought a Gitzo GK1545T-82TQD Traveler carbon fibre tripod and ordered the complimentary maintenance kit from Gitzo when I registered the product, the tripod is great, it is everything I want from a tripod, lightweight, sturdy, dependable but above all, easy to use, when I use it all the knobs are were I want them to be, I don't even have to look because they are at my fingertips already.
Back in the 1970s I was given a Gitzo reporter for work, it was my first proper tripod and since I have used different brands but always missed the feeling of intuitive working I got with my old Gitzo, I finally decided that I deserved to have that feeling again, honestly what took me so long to make up my mind to get another Gitzo.

Superb Quality
This tripod head is excellent, and like my 20 year old “3” series legs beneath, I intend to keep it forever. Gitzo sent it quickly and well packed. The reason I don’t award five stars is that I thought the round black cap on the body, directly under the camera platform, would be a bubble level. It is not, but should be.

I was looking to replace m y gitzo 7…
I was looking to replace my gitzo 7 series systematic and was looking for another more portable tripod. For me Gitzo was top of my list hence lots of research and decided on the gitzo mountaineer along with head. I found the perfect tripod on Gitzo uk site at an unbelievable price and very fast delivery time. If you are a seasoned pro or enthusiast I would highly recommend Gitzo as its at the top of the tree if uou require great build and stability. Personally I would never buy any other tripod, try it for yourself I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Expensive, but very very good.
This is an excellent tripod. It does it's job brilliantly and is a real pleasure to use. Of course it's expensive, but I'm expecting it to last a lifetime and on this basis it's money well spent. Having used cheap travel tripods, this is a joy.
