When they show the prices for gas…

When they show the prices for gas stations it is the cash price, however upside requires credit card use which is almost always .20c more than cash.
And they typically offer .10c reward.

In other words it becomes a .10c loss

Waste of time!

I had a transaction on May 30th that qualified for cash back, received a message asking for me to add the card used (which was added before the transaction). I used the help option and it said an agent will contact you about this matter. Went back into the upside app. a few days later to see if there was a response, and it was saying " we cannot find a transaction attached to that card (giving me the last 4 digits to the card) so I went into my card app. and low and behold there's the charge on the the date May 30th under the card I supplied upside with, Now they want me to either upload the receipt or screenshot the credit card transaction (capital one doesn't allow you to screenshot). This app. wants customers to jump through hoops because they can't do what advertise! This app in my opinion is a huge waste of time!

Failure to scan receipts

When it does not want to give you monies for certain receipts, it keeps saying “oh oh something went wrong” when I do the same thing with the other receipts. When it only wants me to use my credit cards, which I do not want to use most of the time, it will not take my receipts. I believe they set you up for failure to use credit cards

Upside is legit

Upside is legit. The Upside app is super easy to use and actually save you money AND gives you real cash back on common, every day expenses like gas, groceries, restaurants, and convenience store runs. The Customer Service is also actually really good and quick to respond. If you're hesitant about trying, don't be.

Customer Service was great.

I have used Upside for about 3 years now and only had one problem with the app. I contacted customer service and received an answer in only 1 day. I was hesitant to try Upside at first but then I was sorry that I hadn't tried it earlier.

I really enjoy using Upside!!

I have really enjoyed using Upside. It works well for me and I love getting the offers/money back!! Additionally, the customer service team has been truly great - very kind and helpful. I messed up on some of my payment methods and they reached out when they noticed a handful of discrepancies with my account. The customer service team helped me worked through it and helped me get the offers!

Reciept review fixed in no time

I had an issue with a reciept not being approved, or at least needing review. I reached out via the chat bot and was able to get in touch with a human within 24hrs. I received an email that they honored my receipt and my balance was updated. They explained what I could do if this happens again. I love this app. I use it to get the most out of my grocery shopping trips, and in almost 5 years this was my only issue. The response was near immediate and I was pleased with the outcome.

Slowly but surely always wins the race

The app is always adding and substracting gas stations and restaurants, so you will need to update it constantly.
Bugs here and there but their AI is getting better at reading receipt submissions its way better today than it was in 2019 when i joined. And since then i accumulated 1100+ in legitimate cash back. Just be patient and keep compounding

Have had the app since 2020

Have had the app since 2020 but really just started using it alot the last 3-4 years. My total cask back is over $1200.00 dollars. The cash back price usually gives more and less depending on gas prices. ,when gas prices are cheap hard to find big cash back places and sometimes I will have to email the app if I don't get cash back which is why I always get a receipt to email proff of purchase. Customer service on this app is really quick and usually takes care of my issues. I'll keep using it for a long time.
