Enjoyable itinerary.
Great service onboard.
Apart from Speciality Restaurant, of which ideally you need another one, food was just ok. Reviews had suggested food would be much better than other cruise lines. Sadly that wasn’t my experience.

Great cruise

All handled very professionally by the best cruise company

We have had a great 8 day cruise to Norway, weather , food, staff and entertainment were all 5 star. We also meet a number of great fellow passengers.

The staff, the staff, the staff! They are amazing, smiling, welcoming and can’t do enough for you. The entertainment was at least five-star, and the food was consistently excellent. I wouldn’t cruise with any other company.

We would definitely recommend Fred Olsen for a cruise. This was our 1st experience of cruising and from start to finish it was very enjoyable.
The food was very good, lots of choice, and the staff couldnt do enough, all very pleasant and polite.
Several other passengers we spoke to had been with other companies but said that Fred Olsen were far better.

Just had a fabulous time. Great choice of ports overnight stays more relaxed. Meant could see light show in Rouen and visit market in hornfleur

My first cruise and it was a fantastic experience . The cabin was lovely so nice to be able to walk out on the deck. I spent a lot of time up on the smoking deck where I met several lovely people. Also holiday experience has made me keen to do another Cruise. The food is amazing as other staff who completely make the experience all the more special with their polite helpful attitude and smiles wherever you go. I would definitely recommend Fred Olsen to anybody wishing to go on a cruise.

The staff in every department were friendly and professional. You need to bottle this culture and share it with the majority of businesses
The food ( and included wine at lunch and dinner) was fabulous.
Entertainment was top quality from the musical theatre to the on board speakers and art work shops

The four excursions were the best part of my trip. I would have liked fifth one, and a shorter time spent returning from Bergen to Southampton. We took three nights and two days for the return, but only one day and two nights on the way up, so the return was going very slowly, spinning out the time.
The staff were wonderful, always very friendly and relaxed, so communication was easy.

The whole experience was excellent, of particular note was the huge improvement in the Show Team. In the past they have been good, but this trip they were a whole grade better, the routines were tighter and just as energetic. They left me feeling "exhausted", and I was only watching!
The food and cabin were great, as were ALL the staff.
The scenery and trips also did not disappoint.

Lovely staff great food and service. Ship layout is very fluid and each area although separate flows well. Restaurants look very large and well decorated but have a small restaurant feel in each sector
Bedrooms very nice and shower great. All-in all very nice

The ship was very tastefully decorated , although some areas like the ladies toilets could do with a little TLC . The crew and the food were second to none .

Such a delightful cruise. We were very lucky with the weather but Norway is so beautiful. Ship was all we could have wished for. Good accomodation, great food. Very professional. In restaurant deck 4 we were served by Carl and Vanessa. Wonderful restaurant staff
(Really made our cruise.). Only winge we have is that we had to pay for our bath robe. Just because we were on deck 3. That was not appreciated. Nevertheless if we cruise again we will certainly choose you. 5 stars

My first time cruising. Easy boarding no stress. Lovely cabin ,everywhere on the ship was pristine. Staff were cheerful and helpful. The food was great so much choice. The evening entertainment was fabulous and plenty of activities during the day. Embarking was queue free and the ports visited were picturesque and interesting.

As always the staff are exceptional. Always helpful, whether it was our cabin stewardess Karren from the Philippines , MDR waiters Suijit and his asst. Melton, buffet or barmen. Really like someone finds you a table when you go into the buffet, unlike other cruise lines where you fight for seating. They remember your names and your favourite drinks. We had dinner in the speciality restaurant, which was exceptionally good steak, and the waitress remembered us from a previous Northern Lights cruise in December 2024. The Theatre Company worked their socks off with tremendous performances virtually every night, and the the speciality singer performed 2 enchanting shows. All the entertainers were good and worked hard. The quality of the food is the best we have ever had on cruises. Dishes were hot, perfectly cooked and tasty. Not one course was average but all excellent. It’s the first time we have had Second sitting dinner, but would not be bothered in the future as you get quieter venues between 6 pm to 7. 30 pm, and the second sitting theatre performance is less crowded. We have taken several Fred Cruises in the past, which have all been good, but this one to Norway was outstanding. The weather gods smiled kindly on us which made the Fjords breathtaking. The boarding and disembarkation procedure is very slick, no holdups whatsoever. Getting on and off at the port stops is quick and easy. We really can’t think of any negative comments. It all went so well and look forward to booking for next year. Well done Borealis.
