I was given a Westfield flex-e-card as…
I was given a Westfield flex-e-card as a gift. As a gift, I had no idea when it was purchased and when I went to use it, it had expired. The card expired after one year but I had no idea when that year began. Flex-e-card were not flexible and my £50 went into the company's coffers. I will not be purchasing a flex-e-card or shopping at Westfield in the future. Yet another rip-off Britain!!!!!
Avoid purchasing Westfield Gift Cards!
Avoid purchasing Westfield Gift Cards!! I purchased a giftcard for Westfield White City for my daughter for Christmas and I'm still waiting. I received an email on 22nd January to let me know that my order is being processed. This is absolutely shocking.
Only one word
Only one word, DISGUSTING!
My son did not get his gift card at all, that card had to be his xmass gift. And I still did not get my money back...
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. I purchased a card as a gift. I never received a confirmation email or a order number. Just a mail after a couple of days saying that the order has been dispatched. Days after the expected delivery date I tried to mail and call but I never received a reply and the phone numbers were not valid. I had to call my bank but still after that they sent an order number and they did cancel my order as been arranged with their agent. Totally fraud.
A bit concerned at reviews but received good customer service.
I was a bit worried reading the reviews as I had ordered online a gift card for Westfield London on the click and collect option for my daughter in law’s birthday, but by the next day I still hadn’t received an email confirmation, and neither had she, although the money had been taken from my credit card. I phoned them (5p per minute premium line!) and they couldn’t have been more helpful. The customer service advisor said she’d check into it straight away with their fulfilment department (I was concerned as my DIL was already on her way to London for the day) and she would get back to me. Within a few minutes I received the confirmation email (as did my DIL) and the customer service advisor called to say it had all gone through OK. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was because I had to chase it up to make sure my DIL got the gift card for her trip to Westfield London.
Sent three emails and attempted to call…
Sent three emails and attempted to call a number that doesnt work - no response. I have three children all got bought at least 3 cards each over the period of 18months during lock-down - a small fortune to spend, but that has no expired and what do they get - nothing, because no-one wants to help. Do they even have any employees? I am advising all family to not buy them. How the shopping centres are still promoting them is beyond me.
THIEVES!!!
THIEVES!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!! FRAUDTERS!!
I purchased a savings cub for my baby Shower registry so that guests could contribute to a gift card for Westfield's London rather than buy gifts, but now the wont let me retrieve it an d ignore all emails and calls the only contact is a premium rate number charging 50P a minute have spent £20 n numerous attempts to contact them, Westfield's are trying to resolve but keep being told someone will call me from FLEx E Card no one ever does - I contacted EML Payments who acquired them and they refuse to help - they have stolen £385 of money that was kindly gifted to me from my friends and family for my baby's essentials car seat and buggy, my baby is due next week and they do not care! This is very distressing at what is supposed to be a really happy time they have ruined it!! FRAUDSTERS
Thieves!
Was given a £10 Mall at Cribbs gift card for Christmas 2020. About a month ago went online to to check the balance only to discover that it had expired! There is no amount or expiry date shown on the actual card so it appears that the validity is one year from whatever the purchase date is. Simple I thought. I’ll email the company and ask them to extend it so that I can spend my money. Sadly not as simple as I thought as they do not reply to emails and looking on this site it appears that if the card expires the company pocket your money, which as far as I’m concerned is nothing more than theft. This company needs to be investigated and shut down if this is the case
Day light robbery!
Appalling customer service and ethics. Companies like Westfield should avoid doing business with them as it’s not a good reflection on a big organisation like Westfield if customers cannot redeem cards. Due to poor health I wasn’t able to use my £30 worth of cards. Went through customer service at Westfield who told me to contact these cowboys directly. I emailed them to no avail as they weren’t being reasonable and I wasn’t able to escalate it to senior management. You can’t get further than the customer service assistant! Worst customer service I have ever experienced.
As mentioned below
As mentioned below, Flex-e-cards’ practices are dubiously unethical and questionable to say the least.
Their Westfield cards require activation by the purchaser. First hurdle.
The cards themselves have no expiry date. Second hurdle.
The cards do not have the amount on them. Third hurdle.
The cards expire after 12 months (even during National lockdowns). Fourth hurdle.
Extension of any cards costs £9.99. This can only be done after the card has expired. Fifth and sixth hurdle.
No confirmation of extension is provided, resulting in wasted trips to Westfield (seventh hurdle!) as their customer service is so unreliable (eighth hurdle).
In short, trying to spend these gift cards is hard work! Stick with more reliable companies and be prepared for a battle if you receive one. As many reviewers say, the company’s morals are questionable and it’s hard not to see them as easy money makers.
I even told three customers at Westfields who were about to buy gift cards not to bother, so they all went to John Lewis instead! Might be a more worthwhile use of my time compared with wasted phone calls to flex-e-card!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Received a gift card last October and did not manage to spend it all due to 5 months of lockdown. I called the customer services and I asked for an extension due to the fact that I had only had 7 months of access as apposed to 12. Was told I would be charged £9.99 to extend! How terrible is this company, making a profit at the expense of customers. Was told by the advisor that I used it for a purchase in September and should have spent the whole value at that time!! Awful-maybe I did not find anything I wanted to purchase cannot just purchase something for the sake of it, the gifted spent a lot of money on purchasing it for me! No understanding of the fact that I couldn’t use the card in lockdown and repeated told me I had to pay for an extension. Will not be using again.
Shocking company
Shocking company, Bentalls centre don’t use this company anymore, I am having terrible trouble getting a refund, I called over a week ago and was told to send an email to get a refund, well I have now sent two emails and have had no response, avoid this company at all costs.
awful customer service
awful customer service, alleged manager extremely rude and not helpful, over powering on phone. Tried to do a purchase online, payment bounced but egift card money taken, claimed and i quote not there problem take it up with whom i tried purchase the item from.
Dreadful company
Mirroring many other reviews of this terrible company, £85 voucher my parents purchased for me for Christmas 2020 which expired during lock down, they extended the voucher for 90 days which didn’t help as we were in another lock down. Further than that, they refuse to help, their email didn’t even mention Covid, clearly making good money from the pandemic
Lost card
I lost my card given to me as a gift, I asked if they could replace it, it hadn’t been activated. They couldn’t!! I found it over a year later but was now out of date and no there was nothing they could do about it!! They are thieves DON’T USE THEM!!
Disgusting company
Absolutely dreadful company who are happy to profiteer during a global pandemic. My little girls each had £10 gift cards that could not be used during lockdown. When we came to use them they had expired (apparently they are only valid for a year!). I wrote with all the required details and my claim was rejected. Then I phoned and I was told they would extend one card but not the other as it had expired just before lockdown (even though I was shielding and we were dealing with an ill family member). Anyone reading this, please NEVER buy gift cards and especially not from this company. It is an utter scam!
Avoid!!! Avoid!!! Avoid!!!
I set up a club card for friends to collect for a gift in May.
I redeemed the card online when we were done donating and looked forward for £355.00 gift card to be sent to our mutual friend but nothing came.
2 weeks later I called the pemailed many times but noo one ereplied.
After another few days I called the premium telephone number and was told by a man that I can only redeem after 12 months!!!
I was cconfused.annoyed amd showed and emailed again but no one responded.
I sent emails every week for for 3 mo ths and from a different email address got a reply.
They could see £325.00 was on my gift card and they told me to redeem it.
I explained again that this option was unavailable as I've already redeemed the money but not recieved anything.
The lovely lady finally agreed to send out a gift card after I insisted them not to email the the technical department and wait for the redeem icon to appear. .!
2 weeks later and again nothing.
I emailed again.
Nothing.
I emailed again and recieved a reply.
She checked and said the card has been posted by royal mail but do not have a tracking number.
She told me i have to go to Westfield to get the flex e giftcard!!!
I am unable to wander into the shopping center for a simple task which they promised to privide and park for £8.00 at my expense.
This is still not resolved.
I rue the day i ever used Flex e gift card.
Avoid them like the plague.
Do not use flexi card!!!
