Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 227 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers were dissatisfied with product quality, frequently describing burgers as tasteless, dry, or arriving cold and soggy, with some fries also inedible. Reviewers also found prices excessively high, feeling the food did not justify the cost. Additionally, many reported significant order issues, including late deliveries, missing items, or incorrect food. However, staff sentiment was mixed; while many found employees polite and helpful, some experienced indifference or poor attitudes. Despite the overall negative feedback, certain items like milkshakes and fries occasionally received praise for their taste and quality.

Great experience

ust wanted to leave a quick review after popping into Five Guys today.

We were served by Brian, and he was absolutely brilliant. From the moment we walked in he was so smiley, friendly, and genuinely welcoming—it really made a difference to our visit.

What stood out the most was that he actually took the time to try and save us money by suggesting we sign up to the rewards, which you don’t always see. It’s rare to come across someone who is not only great at their job but also clearly cares about the customer experience.

Such a lovely young man and a real credit to the team. Thank you, Brian—you made our visit! 😊

Rude staff

I would rate less that one star if I could but here’s what happened, I traveled 1.5 hours to bourmouth with a friend to visit the beach before we left we thought we would get some food for the journey home but before we ordered we wanted to use the restroom… a restaurant full of people and a sign on the door stating closing time was 1am with the website stating the same and it only being 10.45pm!! and people still taking orders we thought to use the restroom first while we wait for the que to go down and the workers were a little less busy in order for them to take ours, while walking in no one mentioned about being ‘closed’ it wasn’t until we tried to walk through to the restroom where every member of staff behind the till shouted at us I then explained we were going to order after using the toilet but was soon met by a security guard blocking our way? And the man behind the till was giving attitude treating us like any old pair of drunks which was most certainly not the situation! As a mother when I need to go I need to go! But the man behind the till wouldn’t hear me out about that or the fact we were planning to order OR the fact i had to drive 1.5 hours back home with full bladders and an empty stomach! We were then shown the door without even being able to take an order due to the restaurant (full of customers mind) supposedly being closed! I think the staff are rude and inconsiderate not to mention the situation left me feeling highly embarrassed and anxious and I will be telling people to not go to 5guys in bourmouth unless you want to be treated like scum in front of a full restaurant! Safe to say I think I dodged a bullet and Taco Bell was much better instead at least they didn’t false advertise their closing times!!

Recently paid £22 for a burger

Recently paid £22 for a burger, regular fries and a coke in the Liverpool Street Five Guys. This is s daylight robbery, charging £6.50 for fries is extortionate.
Never again, clearly they need to reduce prices.

Watered-down Coke ruined the meal

Visited Five Guys Queensway with my family recently. The food itself was good, no complaints there, but the drinks completely ruined the experience.

The Coca-Cola from the self-serve machine tasted purely of water. There was no fizz, no Coke flavour, nothing, just faintly coloured water. I assumed the first machine was broken, so I went over to the second one. The same. Both machines were clearly under-syruped or the lines hadn't been changed.

There is nothing worse than tucking into a burger and fries and washing it down with what tastes like dirty tap water. It made the whole meal feel cheap. For a chain that charges premium prices for drinks, getting something this basic wrong is unacceptable. Staff should be tasting the drinks at the start of every shift. This is Hospitality 101.

Won't be returning to this branch. Sort your soda machines out.

We went to the Newcastle Five Guys…

We went to the Newcastle Five Guys today and for £35 all we had was a double cheeseburger, a single cheese/bacon burger, a small fries, a soft drink and a small shake. Service slow. Very slow. By the time the cooked burgers were put onto the chosen toppings, the burgers were cold. Took them back, they made new ones.
Very loud music, obviously the choice of the young staff. Not good value for money or a good experience.

Toby J at Bracknell gave amazing service, he understood our requirements and over delivered. The best experiences out of all the five guys I visited. Would 100% come back and will be recommending to family and friends. Food tasted amazing, well done Five Guys for employing such a great employee.

Time to change before it's too late

Five Guys, you are almost there, but for the prices you charge, you really need to start flame-grilling your burgers. They are just missing something. I'm a burger nut, and everyone is always surprised when I say I don't like Five Guys. Yes, your ingredients are fresh... but the burgers are tasteless.
Also, please serve proper strips of bacon, not just chopped-up mush that tastes like the fake bacon bits you get in a plastic tub at the supermarket. You should also start offering recommended burger options, rather than just making the customer try and figure out what makes a nice combination.
Finally, stop cutting your hotdogs in half! I want to bite into a juicy, whole hotdog, not two slices of dried-up disappointment. Your restaurants look quite deserted these days; it's time to change before it's too late."

Food tasty

Food tasted delicious, although we had a long wait for it! Also quite disappointed that the kids meal has no salad/onions in the burger or an option to add it! Given the rise of obesity and diabetes in children this is not acceptable!

I wish I had visited this website…

I wish I had visited this website before I ordered from five guys I, would have realised how bad their food was.
So, after waiting for an hour for my delivery of double burger chips and a coke £25.00 and change it arrived an hour late for a restaurant that is 10 minutes away from me well, it is Thursday night. I thought they may have been busy so as long as the food was great
Was I in for a disappointment. The bun was squashed and the burgers in side were cold and the pieces of salad were all over the bag the chips were stone cold as well.IT went in the only place it deserved to be the dustbin.
It was an expensive treat that the dustbin enjoyed. I would have been better of going to McDonalds and getting my dinner for £10.00.

I paid for luxury burger and chips i got rubbish. never again.

Absolutely brilliant customer service

Absolutely brilliant customer service. I have visited quite a few 5 Guys restaurants throughout London but I must say the restaurant in St. Paul's London is by far the best.
Friendly, professional staff, clean restaurant and very welcoming.
They made me feel like a valued customer and went above and beyond to make sure my visit was a memorable one.
Well done to the guys n gals at St. Paul's! Keep up the good work and please don't lower your standards.
Well Done!!

Very Satisfied Customer 10/10!!!

I am a first-timer coming to the Five…

I am a first-timer coming to the Five Guys restaurant, and upon walking through the door, I got a fusty smell. Anyway, when ordering my food, I got a double cheeseburger with chips (sorry, fries) and my partner's food as well. When checking out, it came to £61.00 with two drinks. First of all, what a joke! McDonald's is £40 cheaper. What a rip-off this place is! Then, sitting down for food, the fries were not even cut properly; the skin was still left on them. Then came the original Coke; the Coke was flat; it wasn't even fresh. Then came the food. When opening up the foil container, the bun was crushed to hell; it was like it went through a garbage disposal inside a waste truck, seriously though. And the burgers themselves were dry and full of grease, even when touching the foil. The only good thing about this place was that it was really clean and tidy, and the two stars were generous.

Absolutely unacceptable

Absolutely unacceptable. The staff treat delivery drivers with clear disrespect and discrimination, as if they are inferior. The attitude is rude, dismissive, and degrading. No one deserves to be treated this way—this place seriously needs to change.

I noted your response to Andrew Green…

I noted your response to Andrew Green last month who complained about the state of the cleaning . Your response did not happen . We had to move because of the filth under the table . I stopped my grandson using the first toilet because it was so dirty . Had having a good experience at Gun wharf . You have let Five gUys down . Even the food was not up to standard

Don’t order 5 guys delivery

Food took over an hour to arrive. Food was cold. They put pickles in my burger and I didn’t even ask for them. 1 little sachet of mayo provided. Clearly the people that work there don’t care about their jobs at all. Overall very very disappointing.
