Not enough treadmills

A great gym with great facilities and a really friendly staff team! Shout out to Lee for running such a tight ship!

I have been a member of Energie for several years (through various different owners and brands). Generally, it has been a good value budget gym. I typically use the cardio machines 4-5 times a week.
Unfortunately, the recent upgrade has been negative, from my perspective. Firstly, the cardio room now has less machines and has 'shrunk' in size, to make room for more weights. This now means that during peak times there is often a wait before I can use the treadmills. (Peak times, being before 6am, week days and around 8am at the weekends). Furthermore, the new machines seem to be no more reliable than the older ones (I have frequently seen a treadmill out of action since the upgrade in December).
Also, the TV screens on the wall have gone, so it isn't possible to catch up with the news anymore, whilst doing my early morning workout. Instead, there is a system on the cardio screens, where you can watch 5 minutes of adverts before choosing which episode of the 'A-Team' to watch (amongst several other shows).
Freeview to the machines was promised in January, then February etc, etc, but hasn't arrived yet.
Today I notice that my direct debit has just increased by 10% with zero communication, which is obviously to pay for the 'upgrade'. There was also no communication when the gym was closed for a week, back in December.
I am seriously considering cancelling my membership and looking elsewhere.

New equipment may be nice. The building is still falling apart. Just because you can't see that mold anymore does not mean it isn't getting into your lungs.

The owners remain the same, taking more than their share from honest tradesmen and innocent public alike amd giving nothing in return! How do you think they got there in the first place? Beneath deplorable.

The membership is still set up as a scam. If you try to cancel you membership you'll discover it has all be outsourced and designed to scare you into paying more. You will be threatened with legal action until you actually drive to the fake debt collection company to resolve it.

TLDR: never trust a man in white shoes. Go to any other gym.

Amazing place with great friendly staff

I’ve been a member for 2+ years now - for many reasons. All staff and members are incredibly welcoming and friendly, the gym is rarely overcrowded (even in January!), and broken machines are promptly fixed. It’s great gym for newbies and experienced lifters alike - go and see for yourself!

Great gym! Always so helpful and so friendly. Good range of machines and free weights plus lots of classes available too.

Well-equipped gym, the staff members are very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is energetic and motivating which makes it a great environment for fitness enthusiasts of all levels.

Sometimes much to busy and equipment not readily available. Lot of groups of very young teenagers

Good equipments but, always overcrowded and can’t follow the workout routines ever!! So, join it if, you don’t care what you gunna do when you’re actually there!!😂

Started & continuing with a PT - Anthony very good & has helped me back into the gym , top trainer and I would encourage anyone to use him.

Has everything you need from a gym

Friendly staff and friendly environment, the opening times seems reasonable and the facilities are clean. The weight area is always busy just be prepared to wait to use equipments.
It will be nice to have Kettle bells in the weight area because the studio is busy with classes most of the time and we can't access it. Overall this is a great gym 👍

Lots of great equipment, facilities and plenty of amazing classes to get involved in. Always clean and a very friendly environment.

Gym is spot on, very busy at times, can be hard to get on machines/benches however very happy so far.

This gym seems to have bought a Now That's What I Call Music CD in about 2003 and they've been playing it at full blast ever since. Then the spin class starts. They blast Cher at max volume with the door open and this mixes with the Now 2003 CD. Headphones help, but not much. The gym is also massively oversubscribed.

We need some cars, they don't have them at all in this club, and there is space, I don't know why you don't bring them.

Just joined a couple.of weeks ago. Always been too scared to join a gym. I cannot recommend them anymore than I do. Easy to join. Warm friendly and advice. I am work in progress but I know I will succeed. Don't hesitate join today.All facilities are not only fantastic but the gym is cleaned perfectly. Classes are amazing even as a newbie was no need to worry !

This is an excellent local gym, offering a wide range of equipment, including free weights, machine weights, and cardiovascular machines. You'll always find a treadmill or bike available at anytime of the day.

There's a friendly and welcoming environment, and other members treat the facility respectfully by returning weights and cleaning machines after use. The staff are super friendly and readily available to assist with any questions you may have.

Membership fees are very reasonable considering the high standard of service and facilities provided.
