After several years on a $6000 loan, my daughter just paid them off. $9500 besides the 266/biweekly for 2 plus years.
Freaking criminal. Well just about criminal. They play just within the law. If you use their service you'd better be ready to pay, pay and pay. She paid them off in full on June 23rd, stopped payment at her bank and immediately on the 25th, another $266 payment was taken out of her account.
Whether this was a bank error is moot, because Easy financial still drew it from her account knowing the loan was paid out.
To add insult, the rep asked my daughter "why she wanted to pay it off in full". Unbelievable!
Crooked pricks in my opinion.
If you need financial help, do not use these guys. You'll be paying Forever!

Nothing is more satisfying to me as when people do their job correctly. I dealt with Easy in Kanata Centrum and the level of professionalism was mind-blowing. Anurag from Branch 2566 answered all questions and treated me like a friend. He offered to discuss my future financial goals and was very helpful.

My step father got a loan over2 years ago while my mother , his wife, was in the hospital, it was for $3300 a few times over this time he couldn’t afford the payment and they talked him into deferring the payment to the end of the term so he would be caught up and not behind any payments but they did not explain that in doing so he would be charged over 800$ each time in interest. So we called inquiring how much was left owing on the loan and he was told he owes $3500 still, after paying on it for over 2 years he owes more than what he started off with which is just insane. No wonder they talked him into deferring payments but why didn’t they explain that his 118$ payment getting deferred would cost him 800$ in interest…they suggested the deferral , they made it sound like the best option to keep his account from being in arrears… they said if defer the payment then he wouldn’t have to pay the payment that month or any late fee that it would simply be moved to the end of his payments extending the date he won’t have it paid off and he would just need to make the next payment on the usual scheduled date…. Try failed to mention anything about him being charged 800$ worth of interest each time he did a deferral…We are so disgusted with this loan agency I do not have words so please have them explain deferring payments thoroughly before you do it we could have just made a late payment and paid a late fee instead of thousands of dollars worth of interest. Beware of easy financial !!

Absolutely terrible. Nothing but theives. What these people do should be illegal. They take advantage of people who are just barely getting by. And that person thinks they can handle the loan payments so they take it. I originally had the interest amount paid off on my loan and I only had maybe 1500/2500$ left to pay and then EZ financial called me and offered me a top at first I denied. But they continued calling and I started going through hardships so I reluctantly took it and I never should have. All of s sudden I owed 13000. And my interest was 33% of have made payments of 414$ a month for over a year now and I still owe 12000$ THIS IS CRIMINAL. A d then they started pulling double payments without my permission and that messed up my other payments like insurance. These company shouldn't be allowed to operate. Luckily I found a legal way out of this jewery. And uou best believe im taking it.

Try every other option before easy financial. These people don’t know how to read, can’t follow simple easy to follow emails even with what they need yet they’ll keep asking for the same information over and over. I’m disgusted, if I could give a 0 star rating or even a negative rating I would. Disrespectful staff, I can’t wait to be done with them, never again!!!

Do not trust easy financial. You have to pay back 25 times more than you borrowd and also all emloyees and managers do not respect you as a customer they talk to you very bad and nassty attitude. they do not know about the ETHIC at job place. I have no idea which Canadian governmet auttorized this organization do this kind of MONEY HARRASSMENT to the ordinary people. SHAM ON EASY FINANCIAL.

Cant say they're a horror story customer service is regular and reachable. But their unsecured interest rates are brutal and predatory to vulnerable people and steeply take advantage of their situation for help. I took out a $15k loan at 34% for 84 months loan planned to payback $2k a month extra (payment plan $662) to exit ASAP. If math isnt your thing I agreed to repay $55k on their plan. CRazy - but I had a strategy. However since it was to boost my credit score ONLY AFFECTED BY UTILIZATION. I dont have a late payment in 5 years - my score went from 618 to 757 and I was immediately became Prime. Vancity advertises debt consolidation loan given my score, good income and history I was approved for a 15k loan @ 7% and offered a new credit card at $10,000 when I was only expecting $1,500 approval, mind you my credit cards was already at $14k (empty owing) and my credit limit nearly doubled with Vancity. My recommendation DO NOT USE EASY Financial. You need a sound strategy otherwise they'll eat up all your money and you'll repay far far far more than what you borrowed. My alternative was to pay down my credit through my $2k payments which would've taken me 7 months but had family pressure otherwise that would have been my preferred option. There's no rush and typically lenders like to see 6 months of a solid credit performance not me where I only had dayys of being prime. But I had very very strong factors like +100k salary, and reputable employer, income and showing extra loan payment in effort to pay it off and others. But still dont use easy financial get credit and financial literacy training instead so you have the right tools. I closed my loan out month two. Its better to not risk at all, plus lenders dont like bad risk anyways.

Just so you know when you borrow $15,000- 7% intetest from a regular bank it means I repay $16,000 in total with interest vs easy financial 34% repays $55,000 in total. Percentage absolutely matters! Avoid Easy financial. Their unsecured rates start at 29% still brutal and should absolutley be avoided.

What a difference was approved for a small loan increase and let me tell you the service what a huge difference the agent went through everything the agent took the time to explain everything including how the loan terms work honestly this was a 100% better experience than my first loan how would have thought that getting a loan increase would end up putting the loan in a better situation

i was in to easy finance/colwood a cupl days ago and i must tell you all.. omgoodness ..thr fabulous!…they really are…🥰..i was in last yr for a small loan and the fellow that helped me was awsum! he was all over my application and he got everything all set up for me …same day…and made sure everything we were doing was set and ready. i was thrilled! i am trying to get my credit back to good again and they got me all set up. i am again back to see them all at my colwood store. just for one more smll ‘top up’ ..and i was helped by the 2 fellow’s and the beautiful lady thr and again they got me set up. i have paid off my patent and they’re helping me move ahead! and have helped me immensely ! yeaaa easy!😁! thank u easy i really am greatful for your help/input/ and the folks out there really do need to talk to them ..they’re awwwwsum! ♥️😁😎!

Easy Financial very accommodating when it comes to lending you money. The staff at the branch was very nice until you try to pay it out. Be very careful. Payments may sound great but the high interest will come back and bite you. You will be making payments that won't impact your balance. SECONDLY, If your bank tries to payout your balance and requires them to send them a payout statement, they won't. They will send it to you but they won't send it to a third party. They will tell you they sent it when they didn't. My payout was delayed because they refused to send the bank the payout statement. Then they delay it so they can pull another payment. I told them it was being paid out and not to schedule a payment and then they send me a deferment agreement to sign so they can add more fees and delay the payment. I went through hell trying to pay out this financial institution but they will delay to squeeze another payment out of you. UPDATE They have responded to this review and unfortunately I did contact them and it was not resolved. I am working with my bank and hopefully this will be paid out today and I won't have to deal with them anymore.
