DFS Furniture - Cardiff Reviews 

During my recent visit to the Cardiff Showroom I was made to feel very welcome. The Sales Assistant was very easy to talk. I explained what I was looking for and my budget. We looked at a few different options before I found the sofa and chairs which were just right for me. Excellent service.

We walked in and was testing out sofa’s then a lovely lady called Danielle came up to us and asked if we was ok and we got talking she made us feel very welcome we explained what had a happened about our other sofa and advised her if what we was looking for and wanted she allowed us to try what we thought was fit and then also gave us advice on each. Danielle was not pushy which is what makes a great sales person we connected and if I ever I had to buy another sofa I would go see and Danielle in the Cardiff DFS.

We met with a staff member by the name of Thora who was very helpful in helping us choose the best sofa for us, and taking us through our options.

We had a lovely experience buying our new sofa last weekend, and Rose was absolutely brilliant in helping us! She was friendly, welcoming and really helpful throughout, making the whole process easy and enjoyable. She took the time to help us find what we were looking for and made us feel comfortable without any pressure. Thank you, Rose, for all your help, we really appreciate it😊

I’ve bought a few sofas over the years and the experience I had today at Cardiff DFS was by far the best. Rose couldn’t have been more helpful. No pressure at all. Just a very helpful member of staff. Her knowledge was exemplary.

The sales assistant who we dealt with ‘Thora’ was excellent. She explained in detail all of the furniture that we reviewed, and was extremely helpful in helping us arrive at our decision. See was very professional, not over pushy and so knowledgeable.

I am deeply disappointed with the service and post-purchase handling from DFS Leckwith.
​Back in August, I purchased what was explicitly chosen and discussed in-store as a power-reclining navy sofa and chair set, along with several accessories, care plans, and protection warranties bringing my total to £2,967.00. I even sent timestamped messages and photos from the showroom at the exact time of sale confirming the power-reclining functionality.
​When delivery took place, standard static non-reclining furniture arrived instead.
​To make matters worse:
​Zero Paperwork: I was given no physical receipt or contract summary in-store. Despite DFS claiming a confirmation email was sent, none was ever received, depriving me of reviewing the order prior to delivery. When I asked for dispatch proof (timestamps/email logs), none was provided.
​Appalling Management Behaviour: When visiting the Leckwith store to resolve this, the store manager was extremely hostile, aggressive, and refused to deal with the issue, attempting to pass me off to another store. She even insisted on looking through my personal phone messages, yet still refused to acknowledge the store's clerical error.
​Ignored Consumer Rights: When citing the Consumer Rights Act 2015 regarding goods matching their description at point of sale, formal emails have simply gone unanswered.
​Instead of taking responsibility for a clear sales error, store staff admitted a mistake may have been made while management simply attempted to close the query.
​I am demanding Head Office intervene immediately to supply the correct power-reclining suite as ordered or collect the furniture for a full £2,967 refund before this is formally escalated to the Ombudsman.

Popped into Dfs in Leckwith Cardiff.
