Non payers !
I have been with them for number of years and the rating is given based on last experience. I was contacted via email by Ioan-Rares Lliescu and asked to assist with telephone interpreting which didn't go ahead as client didn't call. As I was instructed, I had informed the agent straight away. No response, no payment for my waiting time. A follow up email sent again- ghosted. Called, explained the matter to whoever answered the call - now we in June - no response, no payment. even though the payment is tiny ( maybe one pound max- I know, it's really absurd), I do raise my concern here because I do not feel valued as an interpreter, also I wanted to highlight their poor practice as well as alert the others - if a pound collected from many interpreters this would amount to quite a bit anyway. So it's more about awareness than anything.
Smooth onboarding experience
I have just been accepted to work as an interpreter with DALS. I have yet to carry out my first assignment, but the onboarding process was smooth and easy. Thank you so much to Andreea for all her help with the process.

Smooth Recruitment Process and Great Start
⸻
I had the pleasure of going through the recruitment process at DALS with Alexandra, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was extremely professional, responsive, and flexible throughout the entire process.
Despite a few delays on my end due to prior commitments, Alexandra remained patient and supportive. She always took the time to answer my questions clearly and promptly, making the process smooth and reassuring.
So far, so good ! everything is going really well on my end since I have started. I’m truly enjoying the experience so far and love interpreting across different fields and sectors.
I am very pleased working with DALS
I am very pleased working with DALS. It is flexible, you can choose your own hours. I love working with DALS. Overall a positive experience. I have worked with DALS for more than one year. Friendly staff, supportive and understanding. Thank you DALS :
They changed their name
They changed their name, but they didn’t change their poor treatment of interpreters. This is a skilled, demanding, and time consuming job, yet DALS still pays professional interpreters less than minimum wage. How is that fair? Qualified adults, doing complex and important work, are being paid less than a college student stacking shelves.
Freelance interpreters need to unionise and organise.

Cooperating with Dals
I started to collaborate with Dals in December 2024. The person who accompanied my process was Gabriela Enache. From the start everything went smoothly, Gabriela is a very attentive and careful professional, she always answers our questions and is always available to help.
DALS pay interpreters minimum wage in…
DALS pay interpreters minimum wage in UK to telephone translations. EXAMPLE: DALS pay £0.21per minute and DALS charge to clients £0.75. I HAVE EVIDENCES...SO, I am wondering if this is legal and if this is fair. They should loose the contract they have with GOv.uk and other local authorities. Empire group services, Premium Linguistic services , Bigword.uk ARE fair companies. They pay interpreters regarding skills
