Very pleasant in store experience. Spent €1400 on a new Lenovo laptop and insurance. Arrived home to find this device doesn’t come with a charger.
1) this is ridiculous, selling me a new device, not providing a charger
2) even worse, not advising me. So instead, I’m left waiting until I am back home in need of a working device to find out myself.
3) wasted time online and on hold to Curry’s figuring out if this was a mistake. It’s not. This is intentional, they just don’t tell you.
What a farce

Fridge gave up this week, rang customer support after 8am, which their website states is their opening time. Automated message says their lines are open at 9am. Call back after 9 and explain my problem, and was almost laughed at for asking what they can do about the fridge I bought from them that no longer works. “Find someone local who can fix it”. Extremely rude, didn’t ask for my order details, didn’t ask for an explanation of the problem, just, go somewhere else.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Had to pay to get a television examined before they would accept it was a manufacturing defect. Have paid this money and no contact re collection of television for examination after two weeks. Impossible to contact anyone to discuss issue on phone and emails bounce back saying my case is resolved! Looks like I will have to go to Small Claims Court to try and get issue resolved and the other money they have effectively stolen from me back.
Update: I tried to email the contactsocial email address as suggested below with my details and got another automated response saying my case is closed! Unbelievable!

Appalling customer support, trying for 40 minutes to cancel a dd tech plan for a laptop my 80 year old father no longer has. Had to speak to 4 or 5 different people, gave same information to each person, very frustrating service!

I placed an order at the end of May, which still has not been delivered. That, to be honest, is secondary to the atrocious customer service. On no fewer than three occasions, I have been informed that someone will get back to me in 24-48 hours. This has never happened and I find myself having to call and email. As of now, I have not received my delivery or a refund or even a call back.
I will not order from Curry’s online again and will never recommend them.

One star is to much / stay clear of Currys
The Terrible Reality:
Everything went completely downhill the moment Currys got my faulty Bosch vacuum cleaner back. Even though I was within my legal 30-day window under the Consumer Rights Act to reject the faulty replacement and get a full refund, they have given me an absolute financial runaround.
Their stories change constantly. First, they claimed they successfully refunded me on June 9th. Then they claimed they refunded me again on June 16th. Yet, nothing shows on my PayPal account. To expose their own contradiction, a female customer service agent actually phoned me up on that exact same day (June 16th) and explicitly told me that I would have to close my PayPal dispute before they would release the funds!
Furthermore, a phone agent admitted on June 19th that they processed a refund to a completely wrong card ending in 1234—which isn't mine.
To prove how much their online team is shifting the facts, I went into the Plymouth branch on June 29th. The contrast is unbelievable. The Plymouth shop staff are lovely, helpful, and completely different from the online team. The customer service assistant there looked at the system, confirmed that the item had absolutely been delivered back to them, checked my PayPal account on the spot, and verified that no refund had ever been received. He was so shocked by the situation that he actually wrote an internal letter to his own company's escalation department to flag what was happening.
Now, after I have spent weeks complaining constantly on Facebook, social media, and via emails, the online team has sunk to a new low. Currys has officially messaged PayPal to demand that I return the item before a refund is issued. While their phone agents and store staff admit they have it, they are deliberately refusing to send me a written confirmation email just so they can try to trick PayPal into closing the dispute in their favour.
Even the escalation to the top is a sham. On July 8th, Currys agent from the Executive Resolution Team (writing on behalf of the Group Chief Executive, Alex Baldock) issued a "Final Response" doubling down on these claims, refusing to provide a basic PayPal transaction ID, and trying to force me to drop my PayPal protection.
It has been 41 days since my item was collected. Currys has my vacuum cleaner, they have my money, and they are actively misleading PayPal to hide the fact that their system has the bank holding onto my funds. Absolutely appalling service from the online team—I am expecting my refund and I will never purchase anything from Currys online again. The stores are a lot more helpful than the online team, so take my advice: never buy anything online from them, and only pay cash when you're in-store. Stay clear of Currys online service. We'll fight this all the way.

The Only Good Part:
The single part of this entire process that actually worked was the collection—and that was entirely down to DPD, not Currys. DPD picked up the item right on time on June 1st, and their tracking clearly proves it arrived safely at Currys on June 4th. It's a shame Currys' online division can't match the basic professionalism of their own couriers or their local store staff.

I purchased a Hisense oven from Currys in September 2025. In May 2026, less than a year later, the internal glass shattered during normal preheating, leaving the appliance unsafe and unusable.
What followed was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have had.
I first reported the issue to Currys on 14 May 2026. The oven was eventually treated as a product investigation/safety issue, and Hisense later confirmed that the required repair part was unavailable, issuing an uplift/exchange authority number. However, getting to that point involved weeks of chasing, repeated calls, missed promised callbacks, conflicting information, and a complete lack of clear ownership.
At various stages I was passed through call systems, routed incorrectly, cut off after long hold times, asked for information already provided, and promised contact within 24 to 48 hours that did not happen. At one point Currys’ records even showed that the damaged oven had already been collected, when it was still sitting in my home.
A formal complaint was sent on 2 July. The response I received appeared disconnected from the case and simply asked again for basic details, even though the complaint email already contained the relevant case number, uplift number, replacement product code, and order details.
The replacement Indesit oven was finally delivered on Friday 10 July 2026. The delivery driver and assistant were excellent, very helpful and pleasant, and I have no criticism of them whatsoever. I would also specifically mention DF from the Product Investigation Team, who was extremely helpful once he became involved.
However, the wider Currys process was extremely poor. This was a relatively new appliance that failed in a serious and potentially dangerous way, yet it took almost two months from my first email to reach delivery of a replacement. The amount of time, chasing and persistence required from me was completely unreasonable.
Credit to the few individuals who helped, but as an overall customer service experience, this was deeply disappointing.

I ordered a fridge freezer paid for delivery and recycle ♻️ the old one , unfortunately on the delivery day I was at work no phone call on the day nothing. My house has two flats A and B with shared entrance, my neighbour at flat A her son open the door for the delivery guys, what they done is unbelievable they dumped the huge fridge freezer in the tiny corridor making my disabled neighbour prisoner in her own home. When I tried to call customer service they couldn’t solve the problem I have been on the phone more the ten times they can’t find a solution to a simple problem they send me to the store where I bought the fridge freezer, can’t solve the problem too. They keep asking me to find another person and pay myself then they will reimburse me. How come if paid for service already? But what I am worried is my disabled neighbour she can’t get out, also the fridge is right now a fire hazard for me my kids and specially my disabled neighbour. They gave me 15 days for them to collect the fridge freezer. The question now how is this big company they putting their customers safety last? I fill bad for my disabled neighbour that she has to be as a prisoner in her own home ? Please do not trust Curry’s customer service or they services, they are poor when comes to the customer service. Never will use them again. Delivered on Monday July 6th, they booked me for collection on July 17th. Right now I am helping my neighbour from her window, that’s not fare for her

I visited the Plymouth store in Marsh Mills to purchase a computer. We were helped by a very nice assistant called Nova who gave some good advice. On her recommendation I was going to purchase a computer for £388. We applied for credit with Creation which came back as approved(max of £700). So we had 6 months to pay with incurring interest. However Nova then said there was a technical glitch with the system and the transaction was showing as pending with Creation. She said we could either pay a small deposit and take the laptop today or to wait 24 to 48 hours and the system should correct itself. She also put a referral to the IT people at Currys and was hopeful they could correct the issue. However the issue persisted for 5 days with no contact from the store. We decided to go in and spoke to a guy on customer services who said a similar thing happened to him on the day we initially came in. No apologies or using his initiative to apologise and try and help us. He said he would cancel the transaction from their end. I use to think Currys was a decent place to go if you wanted to purchase a PC. I won't be making that mistake again.

I visited and bought many products from that store before, but it was the store assistant 26 Glansina who made the experience memorable.
She was very helpful and she went the extra mile to make sure everything I needed was taken care of because I was buying products from other department as well.
Horrendous customer service. Ordered an item (iPad air) on 13 June 2026 for my counselling business and still haven’t received it. Have been into the store about 3 times with no luck. It’s a 30 mins trip in and a 30 mins trip back out again to where I live. Rang customer service, they couldn’t help me as I have no order number on the original purchase despite having all my receipts retained. So they couldn’t help me. Have been given ZERO explanation regarding the delay. Fobbed off every time with staff that just do not care. Just ‘oh if you didn’t get a phone call it’s not in’, ‘I dunno where it is, sorry’. A lovely manager helped me on 01 July. Said there was no reason for the delay, item was reordered. Offered me €39 in compensation. And yet today is I still have ZERO communication about it. Was told it would be in today (08july). I have emailed customer service twice (see case reference 08908635). No response back. It’s a shambles. You should be ashamed of your lack of customer support. I wouldn’t have bothered purchasing if I had known this would have been the case. This has prevented my business from progressing as I don’t have the right equipment to support it. Woeful. I will never darken the door of this place again.
Edit: Received a reply back and was offered an additional €10 gift card. I politely declined as I do not feel this is sufficient compensation. I still have had zero response back. This has totally put me off ever shopping here again. So disappointed and has completely put the excitement out of the new purchase also.

Appalling service, aside from the customer service phone team. Tried to order items worth over €2k on last Thursday. The system would not me order over 5 items, i needed 8. I emailed the websales team on Thursday to see how i could place a larger ordered detailing what i needed to do. This emails 5 days ago went ignored along with the 2 further emails requesting an update. The product i was after is of course now out of stock, which it wasnt last week. The customer service team did at least try to help me today when i called which is the only positive.

Paid in full for a washing machine, 5-year insurance, and a £45 day delivery and time slot; wasted a whole day waiting outside the 4-hour time slot, which never happened. Each operator, when I called them, came up with a different story (I was not impressed). Will put this down to a bad experience, but will seriously look at any future ordering with this company.

Plastic on my headphones crumbled the first time wearing them (Skull Candy).
I contacted them a week ago and not even so much as a reply about a refund.
Extremely bad customer service.

We went into the Carrickmines location and purchased an LG washing machine June 27th with home delivery. They tried to deliver it July 3rd smashed to pieces with glass everywhere. The delivery was obviously refused. I’m still shocked they smashed a washing machine so badly it shattered the glass and then still tried to deliver it in that state.
There was no follow up from any sales rep after. We were pushed off twice during calls and told we would be called back. Then, finally getting a promise of a Thursday July 9th delivery after constant follow up.
Now I get a text, not a call or actual personal contact, that our delivery is suddenly Tuesday July 14th. No explanation provided, just continued failure. I can’t even check the progress with the tracking because the item is falsely marked as delivered.
- ps - love that they have the time to reply here but no time to reply to the actual email I sent. Do they think I didn’t start by sending and email and calling first? Absolutely useless.

Following my unpleasant encounter with Di in the Llandudno store (no interest, no information, wrong information ) 26/6/2026. I retuned to the store 30/6/2026. to collect my ordered Lap Top. What a diferance, Demi and Diletta ( fabulous name ) store manager, couldnt be more helpful and friendly..I explained to Diletta about my previous visit, she explained Di !!, was a temp, and wasnt permanant.i also explained how I resented her getting the commision , and how it should have gone to Osion who I had previously dealt with, they did however award Osian an ammount of money as I goodwill gesture.
Been a customer of Currys for a while and generally happy with them. The ordering process was straightforward and the site was easy to navigate. Battery life is roughly what they advertise, which was a relief. Support was slow to respond, which dragged the whole thing out. Might give them another chance down the line.
