I bought a pair of headphones online and a month to the day out of warranty, they broke. When they were looked at, they said it was a clear manufacturing fault and there no damage to the headphones. In Currys in Airside, and I was told send in an out of warranty claim which I did. I was cited two different amounts to be refunded, and my case was referred to some particular area to deal with the claim who are completely uncontactable - very convenient for Currys, I guess. I’m 6 months on chasing this in circles with nothing but a “not my area/job” from anyone I can contact in Currys. The company feels like nothing but a scam, and I am starting the process with the small claims court and communications regulator due to the running around they leave me do with no support or guidance.

I’m absolutely delighted with the warm welcome and advice j was given by operator 74 William today definitely someone I’d buy my next electronics from as the service is top quality
I ordered an ASUS laptop on 28-Jun-26, with collection from Currys Waterford confirmed for 02-Jul-26. It was the main present for my son’s 18th birthday on 05-Jul-26.
Currys told me the laptop had been dispatched. That was not true.
There was no invoice, no dispatch confirmation and no meaningful tracking movement. Currys then sent a cheerful email saying the laptop had been “lost on its way to the store”. Only after that message did I receive the actual invoice and dispatch confirmation. Staff later told me it had not been in Irish stock and was being shipped from abroad.
The laptop was eventually collected on 10-Jul-26, over a week late and five days after the birthday. It missed both the birthday and the party. By the time it arrived, my son had already left for his holidays, so he could not even take or use his present for several more weeks.
I visited the Waterford store five times. They refused to provide an equivalent replacement because it was an online order and repeatedly said the online team were “different people” whom they could not contact directly.
Customer service was effectively unavailable. The phone system redirected me to online tracking, emails were ignored, and complaint email addresses provided in store were incorrect. Customer Services took approximately ten days to reply to my complaint, asking for information already linked to the order. They then took roughly another week to provide an “update” which merely confirmed that I had already collected the laptop and addressed none of the complaint.
This was not simply a delayed delivery. Currys sold an item they apparently did not have available, lied about it having been dispatched, provided contradictory explanations, missed an important family occasion and then avoided taking responsibility.
And this was only the purchase. Based on this experience, I would have serious concerns about how difficult it might be to obtain support if the laptop ever requires a warranty repair or replacement.

I had high hopes for my recent purchase, but the delivery took longer than expected, arriving nearly a week late. While the product itself works well, the frustration with the slow shipping really soured the experience. Customer service was helpful, but I expected better overall.

I have a care plan with curries and have been paying it for eight years and they refused to pay it out.
My neighbour purchased the item for me to my address, my bank account has been paying the payments and they refuse to help me as he put it in his name. He unfortunately passed away four years ago and I’ve not needed to plan until then so I haven’t even looked at it. I have bank statement dating back eight years that I have paid this plan. They asked me to provide the death certificate which I I finally managed to get hold of and now they are saying that I need to fill in other forms.
It’s clear that the only thing on this care plan that is not mine is the name but everything else including the money being paid has been from me.
Honestly shocking service if I could minus the stars I would this has been going on for three months and still not received a satisfactory response.
This is absolutely disgusting because I can’t even claim money as it’s not in my name so they’ve took my money and I have no means to claim even if it was still alive
Absolutely shocking Currys you should be ashamed of yourself

Bought a phone online but it did not turn up so went to store in Tralee where they appear to regard online as a separate company and could do nutting for me so I cancelled the order and asked to buy in store where when I went to pay the price was now €30 more from when I bought originally, I was not getting it for the price I originally payed eventhough none of this had anything to do with me so I left and went across the road to Harvey Norman and bought a phone there

Bought a Ninja coffee machine Nov 2025. Jug handle broke under normal use in May. Currys confirmed in writing it qualified for replacement and collected the entire machine from my home (14 May).
Since then: first collection no-show, a courier sent to collect a machine already collected, told "out of stock" when their own website showed it in stock, replacement promised in writing in "7–14 working days" — three times. Nothing ever dispatched. Two cases closed as "resolved" with nothing resolved. In-store escalation and duty manager email: never answered. Then they opened a "missing parcel investigation" into the return they'd already confirmed in writing was received and on their system — and now claim they can't verify collection at all, by the courier they booked themselves.
70+ days on, Currys holds both my payment and my machine, and no channel — email, phone, two store visits — has produced any remedy. Small Claims Court case now filed and the matter is reported to the CCPC.
Check every promise you're given in writing. You may need it.

Purchased fancy dishwasher with fitting services. One of the delivery men was incredibly rude refused to install it, left new mashine in the middle of the kitchen and left. Shocking! Would never recommend this shop!

Avoid PC World for delivery and installation, save your money and go elsewhere.
We ordered a washing machine two weeks ago. It's been a disaster from start to finish.
On the first delivery attempt, they dropped the machine off the truck and dented the side of it. We had to wait a full week for a replacement, and even then only got it installed earlier in the day after complaining on the phone.
When the second machine finally arrived, the installers drilled holes in our presses, left a huge mess, and somehow broke the door off during install.
Throughout all of this, customer service, delivery staff, and management were equally hopeless. When we asked them to sort it out, we were told there was "nothing they could do" for another week, no urgency, no accountability, no real attempt to fix it.
At this point they're down roughly €1,000 in damaged stock, and we've lost two weeks waiting around for a machine that still isn't properly installed.
If you're thinking about ordering from PC World and using their installation service don't. It's not worth the risk.
Update: 6th Aug still no refund sent to my card, they basically steal money from people. Rang customer service and they were completely lost, no clue whats going on. Send me my refund you useless bunch of wasters.

Worst customer experience we've ever had. We want to cancel our order and refund the amount. So far it has taken 4 phone calls, with being also passed along to further assistants in each phone call. The latest info we received is that we have to contact their delivery service to cancel delivery before refund. The problem is that in order to contact the delivery we can't get the phone number as curreys won't give it. So we still have no refund.Avoid at all costs is my advice. Update: it is worth noting that the Curry's reply to my post is exactly the same as their response to every other review on Trust pilot. Word-for-word. Hardly inspires confidence for a resolution. It should be easy to deal with this issue and not take exhaustive efforts we have so far taken with no result. It certainly makes us very unsure of buying from this company, that they would deal with any faults detected after purhase in a prompt fashion. It seems to me that they don't care about 85% bad reviews.

I have never experienced customer service this bad.
It has now been more than three weeks since I paid €889 for my Click & Collect order, and I still have not received my item.
During this time, I have called Currys customer support more than 10 times, visited the store more than 7 times, and sent over 20 emails. Not a single email has been answered.
I also have proof from DPD, including delivery confirmation and photographs, showing that my order was delivered to the store more than 18 days ago. Currys even confirmed by email that they had received my order and that it was being processed. Despite this, they still have not released my order for collection.
Every phone call ends with the same response: “Please wait another 3–5 days.” After more than three weeks, they are still giving me exactly the same answer without any explanation or solution.
The store staff tell me to contact customer support. Customer support tells me to wait. Nobody takes responsibility or is able to resolve the issue.
I paid for my order in full, but I still have no product and no meaningful communication from Currys. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
If you are considering buying from Currys, be aware that if something goes wrong, you may find yourself spending weeks chasing your order with no answers and no resolution.

I ordered a hob that arrived broken, could not be used. I contacted the customer service and they agreed to refund me. When I received the refund confirmation, I noticed that I had been charged a €40 delivery fee, as well as an additional €40 return fee, with the reason stated as “item unwanted.” Firstly, I do not think I should be charged a delivery fee for a product that arrived damaged. Delivery charges are paid with the expectation of receiving a product in good condition that can actually be used.
Secondly, I do not understand why I have been charged a €40 return fee for an “unwanted item.” I did not return the hob because I changed my mind—I returned it because it was broken upon delivery. I believe it is entirely reasonable not to accept or keep a brand-new product that arrived damaged, especially when it was purchased at full price.

I'd give them zero if possible. I have a very simple question to ask about a product before I buy it and I have been unable to get hold of anyone. Info isn't on the website. The phone line tells me to check the website, the man I finally got through to was the dopiest person I've ever encountered in customer service. He also said to check the website and said it was impossible for him to transfer me to sales team. If the info was on the website I wouldn't be calling! A waste of time. The first message you hear when you call is an AI voice saying that abuse towards the staff won't be tolerated. I see why they have that up there first, because their phone staff deserve the abuse! Curry's should shut down at this stage. Absolute joke.
Edit after the response from Currys. After writing this review I got an AI chatbot on the Facebook page which gave me a phone number for sales team which was out of service! That's the third out of service number I've been given for Currys. I will not be emailing the email given in the response below. I already emailed the customer service email with no response which started all of this. After this I will not be buying anything from Currys. They need to get their act together.

Bought a tablet for my non verbal autistic child. In-store the staff member was 100% knowledgeable about the product and after talking over with the staff member she offered insurance with an extended warranty. I would normally not take out insurance for any product, but seeing as this was her 3rd tablet in a few years,I said yes. 2 and a half years in and child has an episode and the tablet falls and we end up with a cracked screen. Rang Currys, they answered straight away. Most helpful person at the end of the phone. Gave me a reference number, go in to a Currys store and you will get a replacement. How can I fault that? 100% in store experience, and 100% customer service. If I could have given more I would.
Update: Went into local Currys store and within 5 minutes I was out with a replacement. Thank you Daire for in-store, and thank you Sam for phone call. Excellent experience.
the most horrible company, inexperienced drivers, no humanity, who don't know how to talk to customers, they are good until they take your money, then they deliver you the wrong products, then they don't answer the phone! I don't recommend

If I could go lower I would!
Paid for a Fitbit air in the shop and it was to be collected the following week. Went back and said oh it’s not in yet come back next week. This went on for four weeks.
They then said that I need to ring customer service and cancel the item.
Customer service said “we do not have this item in stock in the company”
How can you sell something (and insurance) and not have stock anywhere in your network????
The staff in the shop are incredibly friendly but it’s just not good enough.

Worst customer service ever. They do not look after the customer if you have a faulty item and ignore emails.

Very pleasant in store experience. Spent €1400 on a new Lenovo laptop and insurance. Arrived home to find this device doesn’t come with a charger.
1) this is ridiculous, selling me a new device, not providing a charger
2) even worse, not advising me. So instead, I’m left waiting until I am back home in need of a working device to find out myself.
3) wasted time online and on hold to Curry’s figuring out if this was a mistake. It’s not. This is intentional, they just don’t tell you.
What a farce

Fridge gave up this week, rang customer support after 8am, which their website states is their opening time. Automated message says their lines are open at 9am. Call back after 9 and explain my problem, and was almost laughed at for asking what they can do about the fridge I bought from them that no longer works. “Find someone local who can fix it”. Extremely rude, didn’t ask for my order details, didn’t ask for an explanation of the problem, just, go somewhere else.
