I am incredibly disappointed with Currys. I have spent over €3,500 on appliances (fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine) recently, but the moment I actually needed support, I was treated appallingly.
My fridge broke, so I ordered a replacement. On the scheduled delivery day, the drivers arrived without the automatic forklift needed to unload the appliance. This wasn't their fault, and they tried their best to resolve the situation. The manager on site promised to call me the next day (10/06) and assured me that if they couldn't deliver that week, they would refund my delivery fee.
Nobody called.
When I finally got through to Customer Services, I was told I had to wait another 7 days for delivery. I had to beg them to escalate it to another team just to get it moved to Tuesday instead of Thursday, as I had no working fridge. During that first call, I also asked to speak to a manager, but again, nobody called me back. When I asked for the refund I was promised, the agent told me to "ask again after delivery."
I called again on Tuesday, and the agent was rude and dismissive from the start. They refused to refund the €50 delivery fee outright and offered a €20 voucher instead, despite the fact that I had taken a day off work and spent thousands with them. When I asked to speak to a manager, the agent told me the manager was only available on Friday after 7 PM. I explained I have children and requested a morning or afternoon call, but they refused to help. I asked about other days or times, but was told there was no other availability and that was the only option.
The worst part? The agent hung up on me, even though I remained polite throughout the entire call.
I have never been so humiliated by a customer service team. Currys may be happy to take your money, but they treat you with absolute contempt when something goes wrong. I will never shop here again, and I will also be filing a formal complaint through official channels regarding the way I was treated by your customer service team.

Total unprofessional and incompetent service, ordered placed on 19/06/2026
Promised delivery several times but still not got the delivery, stuff was over €1000 and no one knows where the delivery is, looks like a scam company. Do not order online!! Can’t give them any lower rating than 1.

I purchased what I was hoping would be a reliable high quality washer dryer from Curry’s in Mahon point Cork Ireland. It’s a Hisense and was expensive. It broke down after 3 months. I contacted Curry’s support many times over a few weeks to try follow up on when an engineer would be able to come out and replace the broken part. And after many calls to them I finally was informed they don’t actually support customers who purchase Hisense brand purchases. Nobody could give me a number to contact the manufacturer support then either. We drive to the physical shop for help out of desperation. They gave us a phone number also managed by the same company who had failed supporting us already and we wondered how come they couldn’t help direct us with this other team… We’ve been trying to get something organised with the new support team now who are also very hrs to get through to and we’ve no idea if they’ll send out an engineer or tell us to go replace the faulty machine at Curry’s. I think the worst aspect of the whole thing isn’t all the time I’ve spent on calls trying to find out where my case is but is the lack of ownership between curry’s their support teams and the Hisense support.
If we get the go ahead to replace I’ll try my best get the cash back and purchase a different brand and not from Curry’s ever again. This was an awful experience and it’s tough having no washing for so long too. I spent 750 eur on the washer dyer hoping the higher price option would be better and last….

Got a coffee machine for 590€ putting my trust in Currys only to get a very disappointing experience trying to get their price promise.
I sent detailed email on 2/6 regarding online purchase with a request to proceed with a price match policy. After few replies, they asked me same details, order number, my address etc all which was provided in the initial email under attachments &can be seen on receipt.
I originally also included screenshot of a few retailers having a lower price for a same item. Going back and forth they then asked for their link after so many days. Why they could not originally ask for it if a screenshot from Amazon item details would not suffice . I then all the sudden get ghosted and it’s now 21 days since my 1st email. Today I called CS asking to file a complaint. They instruct me to go on Uk site and use chat, and not to worry that order was made on IE site as they have dedicated team. In chat agent provided me with a different phone number. I clicked to call the number only not to be able to connect, and I realised they did not take into consideration being made aware I am from Ireland and to include prefix. I finally get through to be told, despite my order being placed and paid for online, I must visit a store to resolve the issue. I highlighted that it’s an online purchase and their policy state to send email which I did, where they now ghosted me. I offered to give case reference, but it was not taken and brushed off again by saying go to store for a resolution. Contradictory to their price match policy. Nearest store to me is 50km away.
After more than 3 weeks, I still have no resolution. I made multiple requests to speak with a manager or complaints team and agent said they are not available at the time.
This is like going into circles.
This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and extremely frustrating, to the point that I have considered returning the item and discontinuing as a customer of Currys in the future.
With more than 3 weeks having passed since purchase without resolution, there appears to be no clear or timely solution in sight, which is further diminishing confidence in the quality and speed of Currys customer support and service. Cant even return item, cus it’s been so long.
The manner in which this matter has been handled & what should have been a straightforward Price Promise claim turned into an unnecessarily difficult and prolonged process. Appalling

Purchased a cooker on 07/10/25 had problems with oven staying lit. Had numerous engineers out to try to fix but come down to a supposedly manufacture problem. Was told I can get a refund and buy a new cooker. Went in to the store picked a new cooker then was told can not refund yet so had to get new cooker on finance. They collected old cooker and delivered new one on same day. Now it’s been several weeks and still no refund been in store and phoned customer service numerous times still no no one seems to be able to sort out a refund. Spoke to two managers at the crayford store to be told that they do not deal with these issues speak with customer service then told it’s not there problem.so as stands I’m out of pocket £650 on one cooker and owe about the same on the new cooker now. Definitely will never be using curry’s again if I could give - 5 stars I would have..

Mary! You all just need to ask for Mary!! I had only ever once made a purchase in Curry’s Carrickmines Dublin. I returned yesterday in desperation after battling their broken website and was warmly greeted by Marie who immediately got the PERFECT staff member for me! MARY provided me with TEN ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️star customer service. She is knowledgeable, warm, experienced, helpful, efficient and through. Her kindness was so helpful to me. There was a couple who noticed they could have been assisted by another staff member but overhearing her outstanding helpfulness and manners towards me chose to wait and queue for MARY. I advise every single Curry’s customer to do the same. Mary changed my mind completely about Curry’s! Thank you and bravo Mary. 👏⭐️
bought an Apple MacBook from them online for click and collect order for Xmas. It was an extremely expensive laptop but I needed it for work. The order was paid for online and he didn’t receive any email to confirm when to pick it up. Then we decided to go to the store and next thing the order didn’t exist and they didn’t have it ready. They said it “wasn’t in stock in the shop” but then went to back and got one. Went home. Noticed The Apple laptop box was a bit damaged but didn’t worry about that. I noticed the inside looked a bit strange, like it was previously opened. Opened it up and turned on the laptop. Was working fine until it started messing around the next day, touchpad wasn’t functioning correctly and overall system was horrible. Decided to go back to the store after Xmas and return it. There was a very rude guy who supposedly was a manager. He refused to take the Apple laptop back in store and said it had to be done online. The store is about an hour away so it was a long journey we explained. We explained this to him but he smirked, laughed and didn’t care at all. He had no sympathy and embarrassed us in front of the store. We tried another curry’s shop in athlone which we had to travel further too. The staff were nice enough and but still was difficult to get it returned, they said they had to test it to see if it was faulty as “apple products are never faulty” . They tested it that day, not with a special machine or specialist but with their bare hands. Stood there for a good 30 mins looking at them testing it and they come to the conclusion and said nothing was wrong. After we explained it was definitely faulty, we weren’t happy and this could happen again, it was hard enough for them to give us a refund. Eventually after struggle, they agreed to an exchange, I got a different laptop (Lenovo yoga) in the store. Had to pay extra. Skipping on about 6 months later the Lenovo laptop has been working fine until now. It has several issues with the touchpad, system, software. I have reached out to curry’s in Dundalk ( first store) and they said bring it to the store or contact curry’s via email and they might to an exchange. It is a long journey away so I contacted them via email to try and get a replacement. They have only responded once looking for information and I have replied with all the necessary info. They have not replied back since or resolved the issue. €819! And I am left with a laptop that is not functioning properly. Don’t know what to do now and I am left without a good laptop. keep away ‼️‼️

It took them an entire month to delete my account. I tried escalating the issue through Customer Service, but that didn't get me anywhere. If it takes this much effort just to close an account, I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to deal with a warranty claim.

Ordered a 65" TV for €2099 to be delivered. Was supposed to be delivered over a week ago, called them and turns out they haven't even shipped it from the UK. I had also sent them an email prior going into full detail, making sure to include the order number, billing details, etc. and I also definitely included the fact that it was not delivered. I got a response a few days later asking if it was delivered, and I sent an email back within 20 minutes, 4 days later I got an email asking for the order number and billing details again. Horrible service.

It is ridiculous that I was unable to contact the Galway store after my purchase as Currys deliberately hiding store phone numbers!!! I had to call a central line but even they couldn’t connect me with the store, even after I provided the name of the consultant I spoke with. The problem is that I was sold a wrong product, not the one discussed and advised in store, which I only realised after opening the package when I got home, after travelling over 100 km from the store.
Instead of offering me a replacement to be posted to my home address, I was advised to travel back to the store!!! Absolutely z ridiculous! I will never shop in Currys ever again and will advise anyone not to do so too!

During an installation for my new washing machine the Currys installation team damaged my existing built-in dishwasher, breaking the foot off and rendering it unusable. The team acknowledged the damage immediately and confirmed I would be looked after with a repair or replacement.
Four weeks later, the dishwasher remains unrepaired and out of use. My kitchen kickboard cannot be refitted as a result of the damage, leaving my kitchen in an unfinished state.
Despite a full report being taken by the installation team on the day, I have had to chase repeatedly and provide all information myself. I have since been asked to source and purchase the replacement part independently and to obtain third party repair quotes – both of which I declined as unreasonable given that Currys admitted liability and have their own repair team.
I have now submitted a formal complaint. After four weeks with no resolution, I would caution anyone considering Currys Ireland’s installation service to be aware of how damage claims are handled.
This is very disappointing as I have always thought of Currys as a trusted brand and am a long term customer.

Very bad experience. Currently awaiting Dishwasher repair service for almost a month now, my dishwasher is broken after only a few months, after paying €400!! No proper organisation and clear communication by the repairs team to arrange a timed visit from an engineer to fix the appliance- I was advised by the repair team that the engineer will contact me to arrange a visit (no visit has yet been arranged or any communication even though I have left voicemails etc) and I have also been told by them the engineer will come on a specific day where I waited all day and no one came or even communicated with me.
Definitely wont be purchasing anything from Currys again

Never would have purchased from your store had I known your policy before my money was taken!!!
I recently purchased a computer monitor from the Airside branch. At the till, and only after my money was taken, a receipt was generated.
On arriving home, I opened the box, placed the monitor in the space and decided I would like to exchange for a larger one.
I re boxed the item and returned to the store to be told - "store policy, we can not take your item back, as the box was opened!" I was told the policy was written on my receipt, which was only generated after my money was taken. Absolutely, disgraceful!! The store manager referred me to an email address for customer service. I wrote to them a number of times and, received the same cut and paste response, they directed me back to the store...why? I explained, I was back to the store and the manager refused to help me.
So, I would never have purchased the item, if I had known their policy before they took my money and generated a receipt with their abhorrent store policy on it, written in the tiniest print.
Lesson? Never purchase from Currys again, simple!!!

Hi I have issue with hood filters, and no one want to help in Dundalk Curry's, but I visit in Navan Curry's, and very good person really help me, Thanks Rojay, he the best
Worst customer service ever, been emailing for over 2 weeks with no help from customer service. I went to the store due to the email delay was spoken to horribly by a bald male staff member in the swords store Dublin. The warranty is up and they keep referring me to the manufacturer, rather than addressing my consumer rights in relation to a product bought from curry’s. Will never purchase from this retailer again. Horrible customer service!

Horrendous service. First they delivered and fitted a washing machine that didn't work so they had to take it back. Only when they left I realised that they had not refitted my other washing machine properly so I had to chase them out the door and get them back to do it.
Two days later they are due to bring the new washing machine, tell me a time etc. Say they can't get parking and will have to come back another day, had to argue for 30 minutes to get another team back to deliver on the same day assuring them that there was parking available.
When that team came back and fitted the washing machine they couldn't fit the door I had to cover it as they apparently hadn't been told about it and this team wasn't "qualified" to do it.
Beyond a joke, just order from literally anywhere else.

Since my local Currys branch does not have a local number I can contact, I have to ring a busy call centre with lots of background noise. I rang to follow up on the status of a purchase I made, as I had heard nothing back.
The customer rep took the receipt number and branch, then followed the script and kept me on the phone for nearly 10 minutes before telling me they could not find the receipt number and that I would need to visit the store. There was a reason I rang in the first place, as it is at the other side of town.
Total waste of time. A real fall from grace from Currys and a clear lack of quality control from management. Some serious changes need to be made before they become the next Argos and close all their stores.
The copy and paste replies to these reviews make it look like the feedback is not being taken seriously. It is obviously not hitting home how much damage this level of service is doing to the Currys brand.
