I needed to replace my old phone. I bought a new moto 5G phone and the price was great, even included free shipping. My phone arrived in 3 days and set up was easy. I had to call customer service to activate my phone which only took about 10 minutes. Very friendly and helpful. I have been with Consumer Cellular for 11 years. Great service and great company.

I recently switched from Verizon to Consumer Cellular and couldn’t be happier. I upgraded to a new iPhone 17, and the number‑porting process was fast, smooth, and handled by an outstanding support agent. He was professional, patient, and extremely helpful, and made what I expected to be a stressful switch feel easy and seamless.
Everything activated quickly and has been working perfectly since. The only challenging part of the entire experience was transferring my very large photo and video library to the new iPhone—but that was purely an Apple issue. Apple Support helped me resolve it, and it had nothing to do with Consumer Cellular or their service. Just remember to make sure you have enough cloud storage before switching - I learned a slightly longer way.
Overall, Consumer Cellular exceeded my expectations. Excellent customer service, an easy transition, and reliable service—I’m very glad I made the switch and would absolutely recommend them.

Very disappointed with Consumer Cellular processing of my return of my fall device. First Ally fall device failed to hold a full charge after 4 mos. They sent me a replacement which I spent over an hour on the phone with Tech Support to find out Consumer Cellullar NOT configure the device (no sim card). They sent me another and it appears to be work. I return both units using the shipping label (UPS) supplied my Consumer Cellular. Both unit were taken to UPS on March 19, 2026 to be sent back. My receipt showed both unit were shipped at the same time. Did hear any back from Consumer Cellular until they charged my Credit Card for $220. Spent over 1 hour with them on the phone taking to find out what the $220 charge was for. They finally said they need to ask for a review of this charge. They said I would hear back from them within 5 days. On the 5th days I received an email saying they accepted my return with no explanation on what they had accepted and when I would get the credit. After spent about another half an hour on the phone with them they finally said I would hear back from their accounting by the end of the work day today about the credit. At this point I do not Recommend Consumer Cellular!

Experience has all been positive from initial calls with questions to the conversion from U. S. Cellular, which was attempting to force the purchase of all new devices. The conversion was efficient and effective. All is now operational on both cell and landline services at just over one-third of my previous charges.

Purchased a new phone plan and phone from Consumer Cellular on April 1st it is now April 28th and I have not been able to make calls at all. Did everything their technicians said to do to make the phone and system work. Very poor company. Going to go with different company. Do not recommend Consumer Cellular at all!!

As a new customer 2 months in, I have nothing but praise for this company and employees. Switching over and porting my number was a breeze and adding a data line for my iPad online was equally easy. The quality of the calls is excellent and since I brought my own devices, I can't comment on hardware.

I called today regarding my grandparents’ account after they had previously ended service and were attempting to reinstate it. They had already sent their phones back, but did not currently have working service, so I called on their behalf with them present on the line.
Unfortunately, my experience with Traci/Tracy was extremely disappointing. She was rude, impatient, and dismissive while I was trying to explain the situation. Instead of offering support, it felt like she was taking advantage of a confusing situation involving elderly customers who were already without phone access. She had even made the comment of “well, do you not have a phone in your hand currently while calling me” which at the beginning of the call I had stated I was calling on behalf of my grandparents because they didn’t have access to a phone, implying I was lying.
At the end of the call, she stated there would be a brief survey, but instead abruptly disconnected the call, clearly preventing any feedback from being left.
Because of how my grandparents were treated, and given that they are elderly and in a vulnerable position, we no longer felt comfortable moving forward. We chose to switch them to a different provider the same day. My grandparents have been a dedicated customer for the last 12 years and is now out more money because of this.
Customer service should be patient, respectful, and especially mindful when working with older individuals. This experience was the opposite. I would give your business to any place else that serves with compassion at the least.
