College Vine was definitely worth it

College Vine was definitely worth it. I had a great experience working with the college student assigned to me, they were incredibly helpful and responsive. The only times things were ever complicated was when the person managing my applications was occasionally unresponsive and the time that QA didn't get back to me before I needed to submit my application. But overall, college vine was great!

Great Resource!

CollegeVine is a great resource in helping students figure out how they want to approach the college admissions process and in helping refine essays to be as well stated as they can be (the main reason why I sought their help). There seems to be various options to fit individual needs, ranging from getting advice on managing high school life to choosing the right college for you!

Nice help

They seem to understand the process very well, and they take the information you feed them to help create organized essays that reflect what you tell them. I emphasize what you tell them because they don't know you, so you need to tell them exactly everything you want to include in your essays.

We were absolutely thrilled...

We were absolutely thrilled and extremely excited to learn that our son was accepted to his top university choice during early action rounds.

It was very a emotional moment for us all and we were happy that all of the hard work and effort he put in at school, extracurricular activities, standardized testing and finally the application processs allowed him to receive an acceptance to his first choice university.

We are personally grateful for all the hard work, genuine interest and care that his CollegeVine mentors and advisors provided...at first during this junior year to guide his planning for AP exams and SAT/ACT prep as well as his capstone project. And then during the late summer and start of his senior year to put together a strong, well-thought our application package - it clearly helped!

The good news came as an early Christmas gift to us and we look forward to enjoying the holidays with less worry about college applications and to the months ahead as he wraps up his senior year and prepares for the next stage of his life.

Thanks again to CollegeVine for helping us navigate the journey the past two years!

Great SAT Prep

My son recieved SAT prep from College Vine and he raised his SAT score by 170 points. I would use them again for two reasons: first, they fulfilled the contract terms of assessing, review and strategizing with him on a regular scheduled manner; two, the tutor matching process worked- she was personable, very smart, professional and she took great care to explain concepts/discuss testing strategy

No one communicates with each dept

No one communicates with each dept. I had specific request of timelines that my daughter had to go through.

Those requests were not met. I had to call multiple times to follow up as to when he tutoring was to start as they did not start the week I requested.

This list can go on as I have lots more. But my experience was miserable.

Hi GiGi,

I’m sorry to hear that there was a discrepancy with scheduling tutoring sessions! I understand that the college application process is stressful with many different timelines and due dates, and our goal is to help alleviate that stress.

I would love it if you would reach out to our Client Success Team at support@collegevine.com so we can better understand your experience, as our clients usually have a very easy time scheduling sessions and meeting deadlines.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Communications

Making contact with my granddaughter was slow initially.
Then, another longer period elapsed when your test that she completed could not be found by you. She did complete the prescribed SAT numbers of sessions but as I recall it was all done the 2 1/2 weeks before she took the test.
Her SAT Math score improved from 720 to 750 and, of course, we were very satisfied, I do, however, believe there is a communications problem that needs to be addressed. Your staff cannot rely on the student getting back to them without attempting to make many attempts of their own including a phone call when nothing else has worked.

CollegeVine is great!

CollegeVine is very helpful in reminding busy teenager of deadline and tireless in their reviews of essays.
Also typically teenagers are more willing to accept advises and reminder from near-peer than from parents.
