Absolutely shocking Customer Service
Absolutely shocking Customer Service. With a known issue of a C3 timing belt degrading at 38,000 miles, this is not a warranty issue, just normal wear and tear! How on earth is this acceptable? The dealership falls over themselves to get good feedback until there's a problem and then its "computer says no".
Water filling the boot contacted … don't buy a citreon customer service terrible if you have a problem
Water filled the boot of my c5 contacted citreon complaints thinking they would help ,how wrong I was no help at all ,said go back to the garage I purchased it from . They were also no help in the end part exchanged for another useless ev new citreon that has more problems .no more citreon cars for me . They not bothered abt customers just sales if you get a problem citreon won't help and croxdale citreon are worse than useless still waiting for a part for my brand new car for 3 weeks now are they walking from France with my part ???
Brand new 24 reg car developed 2 faults…
Brand new 24 reg car developed 2 faults after just a few month and I have to pay £165 per fault for them to be diagnosed (one is very simple - the climate fans have stopped working) which dealerships have told me I won’t get refunded even if it’s a warranty claim. Citroen customers service said they would look in to it but would be down to the dealership to claim the £165 fee back as part of the warranty claim. Do not buy a new Citroen if the warranty is to go buy. I’ve never experience a service like this and have contacted 2 separate dealerships (including the one I purchased by vehicle from) and they both said the same, pay for diagnose and no refund even if it’s a warranty claim. Makes you wonder if Stellantis group are aware as this just doesn’t seem right.
Not helpful whatsoever
Not helpful whatsoever. Seems to be a major lack of care and enthusiasm for their customers, nothing I would recommend besides going elsewhere.
Awful Customer Service Direct from Customer Service Complaints Department
So that you have a bit of background, I purchased my DS3 brand new from DS3, the garage where I got it from closed down.
I have a deteriorating wet timing belt. This is a known issue to Citreon. There was a recall for this issue in 2021, but my car was not recalled.
I spoke to the closest Citreon Garage, who was as helpful as they could be. They said that as my car was less than 10 years old and had fewer than 110,000 miles on the clock, I "may" be able to get this repaired under warranty. Happy days, I thought.
I thought wrong. As I wanted to understand why my car wasn't recalled and other questions, I was given the Citreon Customer Care number, which I called, and explained the situation in full.
The person I spoke to told me that unless I had had my car serviced with Citreon, who would have stamped the paperwork? They would need to have invoices from past services and "if" the garage did not use approved Citroen parts, even down to what brand of oil was used, then my warranty would be null and void.
Because I wanted to escalate this further to get a better understanding of what was required (as it made no sense), I was told I couldn't and then the phone was put down on me.
Great Customer Service NOT.
Awful customer service
Their warranty isn’t worth the paper it is written on. I bought a van a few weeks ago which has now broken down. They said I couldn’t take it to them as they didn’t have any space to look at it, so I had to take it home. Now they are saying there is a 3 week wait to get it looked at and they may not have the part anyway. And no courtesy car, so now I don’t have a van for work
Just an update on me first review.
Just an update on me first review.
We are now 14 weeks without me 11 month old Citroen air cross. Citroen have now made two attempts to re map the ecu and still no further forward.
E for effort
E for experience
And with no apology from Citroen the results speak for themselves!!
Stay clear of their motability scheme
If I could score it a minus then I would.
We placed a reservation for a Citroen Space Tourer (all electric) through the motability scheme.
Order was placed in April with an expected delivery date in June, this came and went, next expected delivery date was August again no car. We contacted “customer care” again to receive an email with an expected date in the beginning of this month (Oct ‘24) to be contacted by sales to say they have nothing on their system for this vehicle to be delivered this month.
We’ve had 3 cases opened and closed (by email) with “customer care” blaming the war in Ukraine as a reason for not having parts, I hope for their sake this is true otherwise it’s a disgusting excuse and you would think that with the conflict being ongoing for sometime now that other arrangements for parts would have been made.
Sales have kept in contact (once a month) and claim to be as much in the dark as we are.
If Sales had been honest about the lead times on these vehicles we probably would have gone elsewhere however to estimate a date which they know to be unachievable is misleading.
Customer Care is beyond useless claiming they are unable to see any details about the reservation on their systems and cannot tell us about any company complaint procedures ( I’m starting to believe it’s a lone women working from home somewhere in France!)
If you are considering a motability car through Citroen stay clear!!!!!
Citroen relay timing chain snapped
Citroen relay timing chain snapped. The vehicle has been at the dealership for over 16 months now and the warranty claim has not been raised yet. No idea why. Neither anyone from the customer service knows. But who should know then? Customer service says to direct all the questions to the dealership but the dealership hasn't got a clue. Is this some kind of game? The van is going to end up in the scrap anyway because it hasn't been driven for so long. Well done Citroen! I hope you hit your KPIs
The WORST van dealership ever .
The WORST van dealership ever .
Our 21 plate Citroën Relays Timing chain snapped(which should last the life time of a diesel engine). They had it for 5 months stalling us on the repair, then turned to us to say it's out of warranty now and was only 2 and a half years old when we took the Vehicle in, but was just 2,000 miles over 100,000 miles ... They where impossible to get hold of I waited 2 weeks for a call back on Numerous occasions every time i called the service and after sales department there was no answer, and sent loads of emails with no reply it got so bad one of the times i waited for a call back for nearly 3 weeks i actually went into the show room to talk to someone!!.And there Customer Care wouldn't even give us a good will payment towards a new engine. The 2 and a half year old van is now scrap unless we pay £10,000 for a new engine ... we are just a small Courier company and this van was our biggest asset Devasted and so poorly treated will Never buy another Citreon vehicle!! They even told me that it's not un common in the new engine for the timing chain to snap after 100,0000 miles so basically telling me they sold me a faulty vehicle and he then said I should of took out extra warranty on the timing chain when I brought the vehicle which is absolutely crazy has anyone ever been told this !!!!
Citroën e-c4 infotainment & customer care issues
Bought a nearly new Citroën e-c4. It's a nice car, however the infotainment coupled with Citroën app and customer care is just beyond a joke. The length of time to just register the app is farcical. We have one car between us. I wanted us to both have access to the online app based stuff but couldn't see how to do it. Nothing in the documentation. Nothing online at all. Called 2 local Citroën dealers. No joy. Called Citroën customer care. No can do. Eventually figured it out myself! Not very promising. The app tells you that you have to complete an association journey to get all the aspects working. Nothing to say how you actually do this. Again, contacted 2 local dealers. No joy. Emailed Citroën customer care. No reply after a month. Contacted the company I got car from. Not a Citroën main dealer. Again, they didn't know and advised me to contact Citroën ironically. However, the sales guy emailed me back with a possible explanation. Did as he suggested but no joy. In that time, as I obviously hadn't done what the app needed doing it cancelled all the services I had tried to set up. Very frustrating as we now can't do anything with the app and it looks like I have to start the whole process again. This is indeed a real shame as it seems a real decent enough car let down by proper shonky software and poor customer care. As an aside, I have to laugh. When completing this review, there is a button to click that asks if I want to let Citroën know about the review which if clicked will be sent to info@citoen. This is the email I've sent to twice and never got a peep out of them!
Everything went wrong
Everything went wrong, we operate a fleet of Citroen Relays and Peugeot's (over 40) The last batch of 24 are about 19/20 months old all in warranty, max 70k miles . We have had 18, EIGHTEEN with major problems like engines, gear boxes, ad blue system failures, particle filter burnouts and blockages from the Turbos blowing, and the Citroen Garage in Southampton refusing to fix it , Citroen Customer Care trying to force us to use the garage in Southampton when clearly their staff are only interested in charging for works that are down to the APPALLING QUALITY AND SUBSTANDARD VANS THEY ARE SELLING!!! They even refused to pay for recovery to another branch because "we have to use the branch in Southampton" We are trying to get registered as a fleet customer but thats been going on for months as well, what rubbish company they are!!! they have gone from a decent company in 10 years to peddling rubbish. anyone wants more information just contact me, after spending 1.4 million on Stellantis vehicles i think it is appropriate the public know the truth
Don’t buy Citroen
I can’t give 0 stars otherwise I would. I’ve had issues from day 1 with the telemaintenance service on the car. Despite several contacts with their technical team via the app it’s still not resolved. They constantly ask for the same info time and time again. It’s not the app nor the phone as it is the same issue on different phone models. They eventually said it is an issue with the car hardware. Been in the garage for 4 weeks now. The garage is subject to 10 days or more delay in trying to get a response from support. Now I’m back to Citroen support asking questions about the app which they’ve had several times. Do NOT buy a Citroen. Support is terrible and incompetent if you get an issue. I’m going to have to go down the replacement or refund route now. Shockingly poor from Citroen
Citroen dealer who could cause big problems because of incopdance
We when to citroen windgrove moters Newcastle we had get car sorted in past been very reasonable but this time say the car seller was on stage sort of stupid first thing was he sent us wrong reg number it came up as a ford inside of citroen
Secon doing deposit we had to do back draft because simply he wanted is money he never sead any details to or inductions I email hime about 10 time with different thing in my venue he could cause problems bad for citroen
No care or understanding for their customers
I own a fleet of citreon vans and after my recent experience will probably not buy another again. Van needs a replacement engine which is a known fault and citreon will cover it but need a service invoice for when the van has been off the road and the engine won't start and you need service invoices from when I didn't own the van. These are impossible to obtain due to gdpr laws and how I'm meant to service a van when it won't turn over is beyond me.
Please don’t
Please don’t! Eight weeks after suffering a catastrophic software malfunction, our nearly new ë-C4 is still dead. Turns out there’s lots of us with the same issue. I’ve complained and been elevated to level two intervention! But the dealer still waits a week on average to get calls returned by Citroen technical.
Add blue tank needs replacing at a cost…
Add blue tank needs replacing at a cost of over £1000 . This is clearly a manufacturer fault having fitted the vans with a substandard part .Should be called Citroen customer zero care .
