Recently reserved our new home at Castle Green Daresbury. The process from start to finish so far has been very straightforward. The advisors have been extremely helpful throughout the process, a special shout out to Hillary and Tom who have been absolutely fantastic. The team worked with us to pull together our bespoke package and nothing has been too much trouble. The homes are spacious and thoughtfully designed with a wide range of high-quality interior finish options. Very excited and looking forward to moving into our new home hopefully in August all being well, thanks again.

Only downside in my opinion is how incentives change with each site development. I accept that the price of property will change depending on area but do not see how this affects incentives.

I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Castle Green Homes since moving into my property nearly three years ago on the Brook Meadow development. The level of after-sales care and customer service has been unacceptable throughout.

Many of my snagging issues took over 12 months to be addressed, while jobs were repeatedly closed on the Willow portal without explanation or completion. Calls and emails often went unanswered for months. Shortly after moving in, I was left without heating and hot water for five days and had to shower at work.

I was promised my back garden would be turfed, yet after 18 months of chasing I was eventually told Castle Green no longer intended to honour the agreement. Only after providing proof and escalating the matter did contractors finally attend — and they simply laid turf directly over weeds without properly preparing the ground. During this visit, inappropriate comments were also made about my garden being a “dump”, despite the condition being caused by Castle Green’s delays.

When the garden was eventually re-turfed months later, the turf was already infected with clover weed which quickly spread. Despite reporting this immediately, nothing has been done.

I have also dealt with a leaking bath that caused damage to my living room ceiling, which took over four months to repair despite repeated reports. My bathroom extractor fan has failed around six times, with repairs often taking four months each time, leaving my bathroom covered in mould for much of the time I’ve lived here. On one occasion, a director accused me of making the issue up before eventually attending and confirming the fan had failed again. It has since failed once more.

Attempts to raise a formal complaint were repeatedly blocked, with calls even being terminated when I requested to escalate matters.

The overall experience has been stressful, exhausting, and completely unacceptable for a new-build property. I have now involved NHBC and am seeking legal advice due to the ongoing issues and health concerns caused by persistent mould and unresolved defects.

I am still without a working extractor fan, still no garden, and there are still outstanding decorative works to be done over three years into living at the property. I have sent 2 emails since my last response from Castle Green in early April with no response nor acknowledgment.

I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from Castle Green Homes to think very carefully before doing so as once they have your money they will always prioritize building more homes across the North West instead of fixing issues with existing homes.

As per the reply to this review from Castle Green……no one has contacted me to resolve the issues mentioned above nearly a month later……….that tells you all you need to know. Oh and the decorator we were suppose to have for 2 full weekends did around 6 hours total one weekend then never bothered to show up the following weekend which shouldn’t surprise me by now as this is the norm.

Just moved into our new home, the Wentworth lifestyle on Woodland Manor at Congleton, our customer experience has been first class from day one. All staff from the sales centre to the site staff have been friendly professional knowledgeable and gone over and above to make the move as smooth as possible, the workmanship and finish in the house is excellent. Even though the site is still under construction the development is immaculate and well presented, would highly recommend Castle Green

We have looked around several developers, but Castle Green stood out to us straight away and truly gave the wow factor! We are currently in the process of purchasing a home at Maes Y Castell, Abermorddu, and the experience so far has been outstanding.

Donna and Carol have been absolutely amazing throughout. From our first visit, they went above and beyond to explain the many benefits of a Castle Green Home and to guide us through the buying process. They were professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, taking plenty of time to answer all of our questions and make us feel completely at ease. They carefully talked us through all of the available options and choices for our new home, which made the experience feel exciting, personal, and really special. Donna and Carol are truly a credit to Castle Green!

The site presentation at Maes Y Castell is spectacular and clearly shows the pride and care Castle Green take in delivering a high-quality product, not just in the homes themselves but across the whole development.

We’ve also visited other Castle Green sites and show homes to get a feel for build quality, and we’ve been blown away by the attention to detail throughout from the houses, to the open spaces and overall layout. Choosing a builder that genuinely demonstrates pride in their work was very important to us, and we’re so happy we chose Castle Green.

We would highly recommend Castle Green Homes to anyone considering a new home, as they have made the beginning of our journey feel both exciting and reassuring from day one.

We have just reserved a plot at Gladstone Grange, Sally has been so helpful and made the process easy for us! We can’t wait to move in!
