Be very wary of buying from this company.
Our Autotrail tracker RB 2019 has just been diagnosed with 2 areas of ingress causing damp.
To my horror we then find out this is not covered by the “Piece of mind” 3 year Brownhills warranty and the original 10 year Autotrail warranty is not valid!!!!!
How can it be explained that we spend £60k in good faith to find out neither warranties are fit for purpose!!!
Disgraceful Brownhills!!!
I will be escalating this to the finance company used on Brownhills recommendation as they have a joint vested interest in a “not fit for purpose vehicle”
Check the warranty details before buying!!!! We assumed that such a large organisation would be totally honest and honourable to their customers , let’s face it, it’s not a cheap purchase, choose which Motorhome you buy from this company.
The very least you expect is to be told up front what is covered by warranty and we were definitely not told!
I will update once escalated in the hopes this may help some other, hard working, unsuspecting buyer!!
UPDATE!!!
We were not told we didn’t have the Autotrail warranty and I am not referring to “moving parts “!!!!!
I am referring to damp which as we all know, is not good in a motorhome. Two years is not good enough for such a bad fault on a motorhome that cost £60k.
What a poor reply from the company.
Oh and for the record I am not a Sir.

We only arranged with Jonathan Cauldwell, one of the sales team at Brownhills to trade in our 30 month old Auto Trail F60 motorhome for a new Eldiss cv40, some two weeks ago. Jonathan had sold the F60 to us in November 2023 and it has been a good purchase.
Having tried a compact Motorhome, we decided that we wanted to return to a campervan (panel van conversion) and the Eldiss CV40 met the bill for us. The complication for us is that on Saturday 13 June we go to France for three weeks and so we needed to find, agree a deal and trade in our F60 in around 3 weeks.
Jonathan Cauldwell sold us the F60 originally and when a local dealer in East Anglia was unable to match our requirements we phoned Jonathan from our home in Suffolk. Within two hours of calling him, we had done a deal, as he had found us a van conversion that did exactly what we wanted and we had agreed a trade in, purchase price and delivery that worked in our tight tight frame.
Jonathan AND Brownhills came up with the right van and the right deal.
Yesterday we travelled to Newark and traded in our F60, signed the final paperwork and were then shown around the cv40 by Terry in the prep & handover team. Terry is such a gent, calm, a nice gentle manner and very patient and definitely knows his stuff. He showed us around our new van, explained how everything worked and the principle differences between thia Fiat Ducato based Eldiss CV 40 and our F60 as well as our earlier Peugeot based AutoCruise van conversion. He took the right amount of time with us and at no time did we feel rushed. He also took away a couple of snagging matters including a fault within the glass top of the cooker/hob unit and these were quickly rectified. Thank you Terry.
I should say that Terry also handed over our F60 in November 23 and we have similar positive memories from dealing with him at that time and it was refreshing & comforting to have him hand over our second Brownhills supplied vehicle. Thank you Terry.
Finally, Steve from the technical staff checked in on us this morning after we had slept onsite at Brownhills and used their very convenient facilities
Steve, who again we also dealt with back in 2023 was able to explain properly to us how the key fob and vehicle alarm works, discuss our ceramic coating with us and how we knew it had been completed. He explained that our ceramic coating customer card is now located in the kit bag which contains all of the ceramic coating care products and that we will now receive out Certificate and Guarantee by email.
Another query successfully dealt with. We also raised a few other manufacturing faults with Steve, all of which have either been fixed this morning by the Brownhills wider team or will be fixed as a warranty item when we next pass through Newark or at our first service.
In conclusion, Jonathan, Terry and Steve on behalf of Brownhills provided excellent customer service and support to my wife and myself and we are now delighted we called them again, having decided to buy our next campervan.
Our ferry booking is in place for Saturday and we are very much looking forward to returning to France for the first time since pre-Covid, and doing so in our new Eldiss cv40 campervan which is one of the Browjnills special edition Evolution models in metallic black with the ceramic coating as an extra. Looking very smart and shiny!!
Thank you Brownhills for working hard to make thia happen for us and thank you to Jonathan Cauldwell, Terry and Steve for their friendly and competent service.
And as always a BIG thank you to Emma and the other reception team members who are the entry point to Brownhills and their staff, and helped us enormously on both of our visits and when trying to contact people. They always go above and behind to get hold of the relevant individual and either get them to call back as promised or phone themselves to keep us updated.
Great staff, great attitude and always good stock and choice of vans. Well worth the two hour drive from Suffolk to deal with people that can make things happen. THANK YOU all at Brownhills in Newark.

Having lost a bit of trust in Brownhills a couple of years ago - being almost made to feel unwelcome because the workshop was overbooked so didn’t really need or want my custom - what a totally different experience today. I needed a Fiat Professional repair so booked in a couple of weeks ago. Great comms leading to the day. Outstanding customer service from the service dept team including engagement with the technician doing the work, made the whole experience fantastic. I quickly booked in my next major service for later in the year with helpful information from the service team. Well done Brownhills.

As with many of the major purchases we have made, it is often the connection with the sales person as much as the product that has influenced our decision. That was certainly the case with Brownhills where we were blessed to have an excellent sales person who quickly identified exactly what our requirements were, didn’t attempt to over sell to us, and in fact made several suggestions on how to save unnecessary costs
The motorhome handover could not have been better and the offer to spend the first night on site was a definite plus.
If I were to have any complaint at all, it would be the lack of regular updates between placing the order and the van arriving. The sales person did forewarn us of this but that did little to quell our thirst for info even if it was just to be ‘no change’.

From first visit to look at Motorhomes right up until collection of our chosen model Brownhills staff were first rate. Every query and request for accessories was met with helpful responses and all extras were fitted in time to meet the delivery date apart from one item that needed fitting by outside agents.
Handover was also conducted professionally and efficiently and the whole buying and part exchange experience was completely painless.

Darren Leadbetter from Brownhills gave excellent an remarkably fast service when I contacted Brownhills Hymer Parts department. He sorted the correct Shower tap to replace the now obsolete one and it was with me within 2 days. Thank you very much Darren.

Terrible aftersales service after buying a brand new Swift.
There were several quality issues with the van from the beginning, which I reported straight away. Unfortunately, I could not get the van back to them within the timeframe they expected. However, on every occasion I called to cancel appointments, I was never informed that there was a time limit on the habitat warranty repairs.
I eventually took the van in 3 weeks ago and was told they would contact Swift regarding the repairs and get the items fixed.
After repeatedly chasing for updates and making more calls today, I have now been told they are refusing to carry out the work.
Absolutely shocking customer service and very disappointing support after purchasing a brand new vehicle.

I contacted you over the phone with these issues from day one and the issues I had with a brand new Motor Home
When the Service was booked in I explained that the Motor Home was stuck in the garden water logged
This went on for the next 3 appointments
Brownhills can’t book you in until months after because you can’t keep up with demand
It’s amazing how you take my money so quickly without hassle
I kept you informed on this and at no time did you mention my warranty would be void
I have spoken with Swift and they are not happy with the way you are treating me

Brownhills were excellent from initial enquiry at the NEC Show to actual purchase of my new campervan followed up by excellent after sales services. I could not fault them in any way. The customer service and advice from all the staff at Brownhills from sales, services and support team were professional, friendly, attentive and very responsive to any query. This was a wholly enjoyable experience from start to finish and subsequent post sale. I would definitely recommend and I look forward to many new adventures in my new Rapido V65XL Campervan.

Purchased a new Schaudt controller from parts. Antony Cotton was so helpful. He made sure our purchase was the correct part with Adria whilst we waited. He also got a technician to make sure it was installed / set up correctly for us. I cannot fault the service at all. I would definitely recommend Brownhills.
Thanks so much especially Antony.

We made contact by phone24th march and spoke to Andy in sales regarding a new Elddis 115 auto evolution he offered us a deal which we were happy and agreed to go ahead. From that moment all I can say is every member of staff that we have either spoken to on the phone or face to face when we collected our new van 10th april has been polite friendly and professional.

We’ve just returned from Brownhills after having a few teething issues addressed on our new motorhome, and the whole experience was outstanding from start to finish. Every member of staff we met was genuinely friendly, professional, and eager to help.
The reception team clearly explained the process when we arrived, and the service desk team went through the planned work in detail before getting started. We even received a call during the day with an update on progress, which was a thoughtful touch. When we returned to collect the vehicle, the technician came out personally—alongside the service team—to walk us through everything that had been done.
And of course, Daniel, our sales executive, was as approachable and supportive as ever, always ready for a friendly chat.
From a customer’s point of view, I only wish more businesses operated with this level of care and professionalism. Brownhills truly sets the standard.

Brand new high value motorhome purchased March 2026. On collection the solar panel wasn’t working. Workshop had the van, told me now fixed. It wasn’t. 2nd visit to workshop, told me now fixed. It wasn’t. Now in workshop yet again trying to be fixed.
Fresh water tank level reading erratic. Workshop had the van, told me now fixed. It wasn’t. Now in workshop again trying to be fixed.
Cab air conditioning not working. Workshop had the van and reported there was no refrigerant gas in the system. Unbelievable for a brand new motorhome handed over to me.
Cannot lock the van, upon trying it triggers a tracker alert. Currently trying to be rectified.
Brownhills are proactive in trying to rectify problems but keep telling me things are fixed when they clearly not.
