This company just takes your money, I had ordered a ball for my husband for Christmas! It was advertised as an NFL ball and when I received the ball it was an AFL ball. Two very different sports. I had emailed constantly and tried to call the number provided which goes straight to an answering machine. I left multiple voice messages also with still no response since December 2024. We’re now in March 2024. Paid $70 for them to take my money and ignore their customers. Lovely work Bright.

Misleading advertising and dishonest business processes
I purchased 2 soccer balls for my kids for Christmas 2023, clicking a link from Facebook ads depicting the 'glow' ball lit up when unboxed, and people playing soccer in the dark. The business made false claims about the product's functionality in video ads on Facebook. On the website there was no indication that users are required to use the product with a smartphone flash while making video for it to appear to 'glow' or be lit up. The balls arrived black and not glowing. A card in the box notified me they are holographic and require the flash to achieve the effect. As I purchased the balls for playing soccer not making videos, I contacted the business via email to request a refund. I attached a screen shot (4th Dec) of an ad that stated 'We guarantee you'll love it or get your money back. No questions asked'. The business does not honour this guarantee. Instead, the business used various tactics via email over the past 3 months to avoid providing the refund. Tactics include taking several days to reply; overstating high cost of postage to deter return and refund; not offering an address for customers to calculate postage; offering a partial refund and offering me to keep the balls stating it is a ‘special’ case though it is a product that I don’t want. I continued to insist on a full refund. So the business finally sent a PDF form for me to print and complete and scan to return within a time limit which has already passed (30 days from date of purchase). I was so fed up and realised I would return the product and likely not get a refund either so I agreed to the partial refund. I also looked up the address provided for the 'warehouse' and google reviews state it is not an actual working warehouse but a front. The business agreed to provide the refund and overstated that it takes 10 – 14 days to process through the banks. They said they would provide the refund and it has still not been received. The last request for refund has received no reply. It is clear there was no intention of ever providing a refund, just making it long enough that I would either tire of it and give up or it would be so long that my credit card company wouldn’t follow up the money for me. I still have the flat black unused soccer balls and no refund from a dishonest company.
13/08/2024 Unsurprisingly, a few hours following the posting of my review on Trustpilot the company transferred a partial refund AUD $27.67 so from a purchase of over AUD $100 this is what I have received after 3 months of laborious communications and dodging honouring their 'guarantee'.
The business has responded that I had the option of a full refund and that I opted for a partial refund which is manipulation of what occurred. After delaying for over 2 months the business sent a PDF that I needed to fill out by hand, and had terms and conditions that the form needed to be received within 30 days of purchase to qualify for a refund. The partial refund was not a choice I opted for. It was the only option that the business manouvered to have as an outcome. A partial refund that was only processed after my Trustpilot review. It took less that 48 hours to process rather than the 14 days stated by the business in order to delay my requests further.

The ball is amazing! I habe my doubts after reading some of the reviews but I can totally say that the ball looks awesome. Obviously it works with light reflection (what did you expect?) and the result deserves the money I paid. My nephew is in love with it and all of his friends have asked for one too! No matter how much you try to pump it up, the thing is flat. Useless. Raised this with their Bright customer service, and was told there is nothing they can do. I can now see from all of these negative reviews on TrustPilot that I am not the only consumer that received a product that “Is not fit for purpose”. This company is going to be broke soon.
