Incompetent
I think the majority of reviewers about Benpal have been lucky. I have been waiting for two years for my pension benefit data to be uploaded. Although I do get the occasional letter saying it will take a few weeks. Absolute incompetence!

I have been requesting a receipt for a fee I have paid to enable a PSO to progress. I have requested it several times over the last 2 months. I get the standard email back saying we will contact you. Nothing happens. I called yesterday. Took 70mins to get through to somebody. Told them my issue. All he could do was send an email requesting what I want. Couldn't assist anymore. My ex partner on the other side of this story - her financial adviser - is trying to make progress. Can't get anything from them. Papers for her have been sent to the wrong address. The only route now is to the ombudsman. It's pretty disgraceful. I hope after writing this somebody has the decency to contact me to discuss and resolve.

I have been trying to access my Benpal account for over 1 month, the message I receive states my account is temporarily unavailable, please try later. I have sent several emails and I am still unable to access my pension details. A very poor service and do not send another password reset, this is not the issue!
What a useless company and service
What a useless company and service. I regret the day when my company moved Benpal. No reply on emails and when you call them there is 30+ mins of hold and then they drop the call. I sent them email to pls call me back and till today nothing. My online pension page is not appearing and all my colleagues 10+ are having same issue for more than 2 months. we have lodged the complain through emails but still nothing. I normally manage my fund but now i dont have any visibility.

Still no annual statement promised over six weeks ago now.
I will give them another two weeks then it will be on to the ombudsman to see if they can get an honest answer from this dreadful company.

Pension allowance figures
Pension allowance figures, I work for fords and am getting laid off soon , I wanted to know how much my employer and myself are putting into my final salary pension and what my carry forward allowances are , as I want to put some redundancy into a stakeholder pension.been trying to get these figures to no avail for 5 months umpteen phone calls and they promise me I'll have them in 20 days max but still no answer .only letter of transfer value which isn't what I asked for as can check that online .

Any information requests or updates have been dealt with within timescale. I like that I can see in the pension modeller how changes in my retirement age/contributions potentially affect me in the future. My previous pension site only provided annual statements.

Customer services? What a joke. No one cares or can answer my questions regarding missing year's on my pension statment. All I am told is we are looking into it. 5 weeks and 4 calls later and I am none the wiser. You're not allowed to speak to anyone above the call handler.

I am extremely disappointed with the way that JLT are handling my request for information as an existing pensioner I made my first attempt at gaining information on my pension on June 27th and was advised the information would be sent within 10 working days, my second call on July 16th to an agent accepted that my query was still outstanding but could give me no reason as to why this was so. as of today August 6th I am holding in a call queue for 15 minutes chasing up my query but being prompted if I wanted to leave my number for them to call me, would you??

they are slow to respond, their online site is terrible!!! Im only in because it is my company who use them.
My advice: find another pension management system

Just ignore customers, completely unresponsive
Worst customer service i think i have seen. £70k disappeared from my account for two weeks, despite numerous contact no feedback beyond "we can see it" then it reappeared with no appology or explanation.
Now I cannot see any investments for 8 weeks, no responce to multiple contacts.
Avoid this company if at all possible they just do care about customers.
Appalling incompetence and assistance
Appalled by the incompetence of this company.
I’ve been trying to reallocate funds and contributions for my workplace pension but eight months later I am still in the standard lifestyle approach for contributions. I have tried to explain what I need on the phone and on email - and they are very basic requests for pension fund management - and employees are disinterested, incompetent and do not seem to be familiar with pensions, their website...anything really.
I was eventually advised to make the changes directly on my pension provider’s website - in which case what is benpal for?
Unfortunately it seems I can’t avoid using them but if you have any option I’d suggest you avoid them like the plague.
