Shortly afterwards, Back Care Solutions reported the review to Trustpilot, resulting in the review being temporarily hidden while Trustpilot carried out its assessment.
On 24 May 2026, Trustpilot confirmed that the review had been assessed and reinstated.
I have updated this review to reflect the full chronology.
I also note that Back Care Solutions publicly stated that they had provided a resolution to my complaint. While they did provide a formal complaint response, I remained dissatisfied with the outcome and there remained a material disagreement regarding whether the substantive issues I raised had been adequately addressed.
For clarity, this review reflects my honestly held opinion based on contemporaneous correspondence and events at the time. Back Care Solutions' complaint response acknowledged matters including frustration, uncertainty, inconvenience, stock availability issues, and difficulties surrounding my request to pause and reconsider the order.
While staff were polite and professional in their communications, I found the overall process unnecessarily stressful, difficult to navigate, and below the standard I expected from a company supplying disability and workplace-adjustment equipment.
My concerns relate not to the conduct of individual staff members, but to the overall customer experience and the way the matter was handled. As matters currently stand, I remain dissatisfied with the outcome.

This turned into a far more stressful and drawn out experience than it ever needed to be.
I had a credit note with Back Care Solutions and the process around actually using it was confusing from the start. The credit was not visible through any normal online account system and everything had to be handled manually over email. I later discovered the credit had apparently expired, despite that never being particularly clear or obvious to me in practice. It was eventually reinstated, but by that point the whole process already felt messy and pressured.
Before placing the order, I specifically checked stock availability, delivery details, product information and charges because I wanted to avoid problems later on. Despite that, multiple items I selected then turned out to be unavailable or possibly discontinued anyway. This meant repeatedly having to rethink the order and choose alternatives after already trying to verify everything in advance.
The worst part was when I asked to pause the order after one of the key items became unavailable. The item mattered because it related directly to my posture issues and neurodivergent conditions, and I simply wanted time to reconsider what equipment was actually suitable for my needs.
Instead, I was left with the impression that delaying the order or placing it on hold could result in the reinstated credit being lost and the remaining order needing to be paid for separately. That created unnecessary pressure at the exact moment I needed time to properly reassess things.
To their credit, the staff I dealt with were polite and later acknowledged the frustration, uncertainty and inconvenience caused throughout the process. However, for a company selling disability and workplace adjustment equipment, including through Access to Work-related routes, I expected a much smoother, clearer and more accessible experience than this.
Overall, the process felt disorganised, unnecessarily stressful and much harder to navigate than it should have been.

I had a desk uplifted as I did not require it any longer.
The person who came to uplift the desk was very good, he called to inform me when he would arrive. He came into my flat and dismantled the desk with no concerns. The guy was very polite, chatty and made me feel comfortable in his company.
