Good place to stay in Paris

The studio is small, but complete. Everything works, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. Location (Rue Lafitte) is great. Felt very safe. Good contact with the WS staff. Very much enjoyed our stay in a WS studio.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. Worst experience – the room lock cannot be opened, it is never repaired, and WS left us 14 hours without access to our luggage, including essential medication.

If I could rate them 0 out of 5 I…

If I could rate them 0 out of 5 I would.
We were travelling in Paris for 24 hours, my friend (visiting from Australia) in Europe for the first time.
72 hours before arriving we were told there was “maintenance” work occurring in our original hotel and we were relocated to a place that would have been almost 100€ less than what we originally paid, yet with no monetary reimbursement. When we arrived all of the security gates were unlocked for anyone to gain access to the building and even the door that led to our hallway. Our bathroom sink did not properly work and we found numerous hairs on the bed and pillows.
After calling to issue a refund and vacate the premise due to it being unsafe and unclean we were assured that a full refund would be issued. Video recording and all.
It has been 51 days since that incident and numerous WhatsApp conversations and we still have no refund and apparently their accounts team “on leave”. They have been avoidant and vague. On the 51st day after reaching out, yet again, they have now decided that 10% refund will be issued, which is not what was agreed and we have proof of this original phone call.
Do not stay with them. It is a scam.

Terrible customer service poor access system

We had terrible problems gaining access to our apartment, the code we were initially sent didn’t work and after a phone call and several more codes we got in. However before going out for the evening we decided to test the code as we wouldn’t be back until midnight, the code didn’t work, we then spent over an hour on the phone with what is apparently customer service we were hung up on three times and spoke to three members of staff constantly being told that the code was working which it was not and by the time we spoke to someone who knew what they were doing we had missed our booking and our first ever night in Paris was ruined.

Avoid this business at all costs

Extremely disappointing and unsafe experience. Property was not fit for purpose — tiny unusable shower and a dangerous floor hazard. No proper response or resolution from the host, just excuses and avoidance. We had to leave and pay for alternate accommodation. Refund was refused without explanation. If you value safety and honesty, avoid this company.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Stay in a hotel. Avoid this place. Two weeks on and numbers phone calls and emails and our complaint has not been addressed.
Firstly we booked this apartment block because there was a lift and we had two children and so we did not want to be carrying the baby and her pram up and down the stairs, Therefore we entered in to this contract with on the basis there was a lift throughout our stay, and this was not the case. No explanation/advance warning/apology was given.

Furthermore, we had no water on Sunday 26th May through to our departure on the Monday 27th May. I called a number of times and every time I was told I would be called back with an update. No one ever called back. It was only at 10.30pm on Sunday 26th May 2024 when I called that I was offered an alternative solution of moving apartment (but NOT in the same building, it was in a different area of Paris). When I called earlier in the day, if this option had been offered to me then yes I may have taken this but to pack up my bags and travel with two children in the night was not possible. Because we had no water we could not shower, wash our teeth, I could not wash my baby’s milk bottles, I could not wash the oral syringe I need to give my baby her antibiotic medicine to her in, and I could not wash my hands to apply medicine to an open wound on my baby. I was therefore using wet wipes to clean my hands to apply medicine to my baby’s open wound. Most importantly we could NOT use the toilet and so I was running across the road with my 9-year-old daughter to use a bar toilet which was not appropriate for a 9 year old. This is unacceptable and not having water absolutely ruined those days of our holiday. We were also lied to by WS staff as they told us that the problem was the whole building due to work on the street. This was not the case as we checked with other people in the building and they all had water and then when I called on the 27th May 2024 to check if the water for a different booking we had later in our holiday in that block, was working, I was told that it was as the problem was only in Apartment 4 and we were now going to be in Apartment 1. If your staff had known all along it was just our apartment they should have offered me an alternative place when I called in the day of the 26th May 2024 and not later that night when it was impossible for me to move venue. They said they would pay for my taxi which was an insult. Additionally, when we got to Disneyland on the 27th May 2024 we did not enjoy everything as we should have done as we went to the park and then rushed back at check in time to shower losing valuable hours of time at the park. Your staff have been VERY unhelpful and unprofessional and not what I would expect from any organisation. I suggest someone calls me to discuss which is what I have asked for continuously.

DO NOT BOOK WITH APARTMENTS WS IN PARIS

DO NOT BOOK WITH APARTMENTS WS IN PARIS

My family and I have just returned from a 5 day holiday to Paris and can safely say it was the worst trip I've ever had.

I booked the apartment at Saint-Lazare through WS Apartments for 11 to 15 April 2022. At the end of March I contacted them to confirm the booking, which they did and said check in instructions would be sent two days before our arrival.

No check in instructions were sent by 9 April, so I emailed them to ask where they were. I had no response. I emailed them again to ask for them to be sent to an alternative email address. I had no response.

When we arrived in Paris at 6pm I called WS Apartments to ask again for the check in instructions only to be told the apartment was no longer available and to go to a hotel. I then spent the next hour on the phone trying to ascertain why the apartment was not available, to get confirmation in writing that they would refund the cost of the apartment and pay for the hotel. They confirmed the refund and one night in a hotel but the agent said he didn't have the authority to confirm the three other nights. I asked him to ensure his manager who did have authority to call me first thing the following morning.

At no point did they apologise or offer to help us find alternative accommodation. We were left to do it ourselves at 8pm in the evening in a foreign city with three children in tow.

We spent the next hour walking around trying to find a hotel but everything was fully booked. We finally went to the Hilton which had a couple of rooms available but cost over €1,000 for the night.

We then went on Booking.com to find a cheaper hotel for the remaining nights. Once again it was difficult to find one, however we booked the Hotel de Mont Dore which had a couple of rooms left. The room for me, my husband and youngest daughter stated it was suitable for three guests. When we arrived on Tuesday night it clearly was not. The room was tiny with a double bed. When I asked if there was a fold out bed I was told she would have to sleep on the floor.

Clearly this was unacceptable but we had no choice at this point as it was quite late at night so we stayed. The next morning we told the hotel we wanted to leave and they refused to give us a refund. We were now stuck in a horrible hotel with hostile staff and my daughter expected to sleep on the floor for two more nights, so we decided to leave anyway.

We then spent the Wednesday morning trying to find alternative accommodation rather than enjoying the sights of Paris. I walked around the area going into multiple hotels but they were all fully booked. In the meantime my husband finally managed to secure us an apartment through AirBNB.

WS Apartments are responsible for all this. They destroyed our long awaited holiday and left my family essentially homeless in a strange city with no offer of help. Of course on Tuesday morning no manager called to confirm that they would pay for the three remaining nights. I called them EIGHT times during the day and was told every time that a manager was not available. The last time I called I was told my case had been "escalated to the president of the company". To date I have received no call, no email - nothing.

I have never been treated like this on any of my trips abroad. WS Apartments clearly have no regard for their customers and were quite happy to leave my family stranded. Not even a courtesy call to check we were OK or to update us on the situation.

If you are looking for accommodation in Paris do NOT book with WS Apartments. I would suggest you go on AirBNB and look for Sweet Inn - the apartment we finally stayed in was lovely and well situated.

LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION TO TRIPLE ROOM RATE!!!!!!!!!

I booked a studio 2 month in advance, I received all confirmation email and also , a few days in advance, the email with all the info to access the place and so on.
The DAY BEFORE the arrival they cancelled my booking saying "I was not compliant with their booking requirements". I called 4 times to understand but they could not explain except for saying "You have been rejected because you are not compliant" and then hung up the phone. I even suggested to pay immediately but they hung up on me. Result, the apartment was available againt on the internet at 2.5x rate and I had no option than finding another place last minute in the center of Paris! WHAT A SCAM!!!!!!!!!
