Just got back from a weekend away in…

Just got back from a weekend away in cologne in a novum hotel leonet reception was dirty and floors where disgusting. Rooms where outdated no shower doors as look like been broken. Windows did not open as broken with a notice stuck on . No kettle or tea facilities. Door to room had to be slammed to shut . Mould everywhere. Breakfast was very poor no toast or pastries and when we asked for anything it came across that we was an inconvenience to the grumpy staff. Poor all round and very disappointed with hotel .needs some money spending on staff training and repairs.

Novum Hotel Boulevard

Novum Hotel Boulevard, Stuttgart.

Borderline fraudsters!

My sons' and their friends booked the above hotel in December 2023 to stay in whilst attending the Euros in June 2024 in Germany. I booked the accommodation on my credit card on their behalf.

In June 2024, I received an email informing me the hotel would be closing for refurbishment in March 2024! Yes. You read that right!

We tried to contact the hotel without success, only every speaking to one person at Novum Hotels central reservations, who told us the hotel was closed for three years!

I was unable to get a refund from the hotel. Expedia, who I booked the hotel through, refused to help. It was only when I contacted my bank and raised a dispute, did I have any success with regards to progressing a full refund - thank you my bank.

As a footnote, my son went to see the above Novum hotel, whilst he was in Stuttgart (staying at another hotel, which had to be booked because of this apparent closure). It came as no surprise that the hotel appeared to be fully open with guests inside!. Appalling behaviour from Novum, who appear to be quite happy to cancel bookings and rebook the same rooms - probably at a significantly higher price.

Avoid like the plague!

Acora Worst Hotel Service

Booked Acora Berlin which is a hotel from Novum Hospitality.
Short Version: Do Not Book any hotel with them even if you have no place to sleep and you will be on the road just go to your nearest Notübernachtungen and stay the night there but do not waste your money on these people. you will be on your own, you will have no help from anyone whatsoever because there is no staff and if you call their helpline they will keep sending you to the hotel next door and that hotel reception will send you back to the same phone helpline by saying : "we cannot do anything for acora sorry"

Long Version:
Day 1: my check-in time was at 13:00 but when I went to the hotel I could not get in since I did not receive the code for the main door, I received it almost 2 hours late and had to wait there because their helpline was not picking the phone since 2days and I was getting no answers through mail or phone. when I got in there was no reception and you had to do check-in on the worst app on planet earth because on the last step of check in it will always fail no matter how many times you try, in their hotel they have an ipad with the same app so basically you cannot do anything but to stand there and keep calling them hoping someone will pick up and help you, and no this was not only me. on a daily basis I saw the same problem happening to everyone new coming in and then getting stuck because the hotel asks for 100% pre-payment for your stay.

YOU DO NOT GET A POST BOX , they tell you AFTER you have moved in that you need to pay DP and buy a postfach near to the location, but since you just did anmeldung with this address, all of your official letters including bank letters will come to this address and then automatically get sent back because your name is not available on any postbox

Cleaning: at first the cleaning was done every 6-7days which was as promised but then in the month of december + 2 weeks of january no cleaning was done and I sent them emails + called them but of course no one answered, so I went to the reception next door because that hotel is owned by same people. and then I got a cleaning service after 7weeks.

Need Help? well then you should absolutely know that there will be 0 help from anyone for you, because there is no staff available at the hotel and the phoneline will not be picked by anyone and if you send them an email they will reply to you on average after 1-2weeks. so if by chance someone picks up your phone they will ask you to go to the hotel next door 'NIU' and ask the reception for help, but when you do that they just tell you that since iam living in acora they cannot help me they are there only for that specific hotel.

Invoices: They did not provide me with my invoices and neither any proof that I paid my rent on time or that my dues are clear which is needed if you are moving to a permanent place since almost every landlord in Berlin requires it.

Check-out : the worst part is that my check-in was at 13:00 on the day of my move-on, but my check-out was on my last day at 10:00AM
WHICH HOTEL IN THE WORLD KICKS YOU OUT ONE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR CHECK-OUT? I pay on a nightly basis and instead of letting me stay there for the night they asked me to leave on my last day that I have. so technically they took 1 extra payment from me and never returned me the money.
NEVER seen any hotel do before.

Fake cheap low budget hotels and service

Stay well clear if this cheap low rated budget hotel. Their service is equally shocking as is the hotel's standard of service. Tried to cancel and they kept 90% of never mind the rule of free cancellation. Please stay clear of this hotel group and also expedia who supports this fake rip off policy

Horrible hotline serivce

When you call any of their hotels, you are forwarded to the central. If you are unlucky enough to be forwarded to a rude operator, you can expect them to hang up the phone on your face while you are talking, and that is, before they complain and don't even let you explain what you need. What a horrible customer hotline service!

Novum airport hotel 4/5

Novum airport hotel - cologne Germany.

Pro - Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely. Hotel was a great location to shops, trams and trains. Free breakfast was basic but everything was well presented. Bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was amazing!!!

Con- lift wasn’t working and we were on the 5th floor.

It’s a basic hotel for somewhere safe to sleep and wash but that’s what you book it for. If you want a luxury spa then you need to pay for those luxuries. This was perfect for what we needed and for the time we stayed.

Have several times stayed in Novum…

Have several times stayed in Novum Gates hotel in Berlin. I like the location and find it a very nice hotel. I had booked a room in April 2020, but before travelling to Berlin the border was closed. My stay was prepaid and I asked the hotel not for a refund but a postpone of my stay. No answer from the organisation in Hamburg in spite of several mails. I will never use Novum hotels again!

NOVUM HOTEL THOMAS BUDAPEST - Awful experience

NOVUM HOTEL THOMAS BUDAPEST

There's a reason why there are a lot of bad reviews in several sites. We were booked for 3 nights, prepaid the accommodation, but we left after the first night regardless of the fact that there was no guarantee for a refund. That's how horrible it is! Avoid this hotel if you can.

BROKEN LIFT - Our room is on the 7th floor and we had to go 7 flights up with our luggage. I asked the staff for any indication as to when the lift will be repaired, but all they could say was "I don't know". I read the other reviews after our stay, and it looks like this has been going on for a while. This is the exact opposite of relaxation while on holiday. I asked for the opportunity to speak to the manager, but since we arrived on a Friday night, I was told that I have to wait until Monday!

DIRTY BATHROOM - Filled with dust, sticky floor and there's a lot of discolouration on shower area. No proper shampoo nor soap. Only a generic body wash. The water in the shower does not drain very quickly. You also need to hold the shower with one hand.

SMELLY SHEETS - Awful smell and it made my skin itch. I raised this with the staff at the reception and her response was "I do not know. That's with a different department." The other reviews here say that the staff didn't replace their sheets.

RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE - Staff were unhelpful, especially the manager, Zoltan Cseri. All they cared about was they already have your money. All the staff could say was "I don't know. You need to wait for my manager."

I demanded for a refund since we only stayed 1 out of the 3 nights, but the manager just kept hanging on the "no cancellation" policy which is understandable. However, it shows lack of decency because the customer was completely unsatisfied with the service. Such an awful way to earn money. The manager also claims that the lift has been repaired an hour after we left. However, the reviews here says otherwise.

OLD AND UNPLEASANT - The hotel looks vibrant in the photo, but looks very old and unpleasant in actual. The room has old furnishings. The door does not lock automatically when shut. You need to lock it with a key. The curtains/shutters are thin so you get woken up at 5am in summer.

We had to spend extra to move to a better hotel, but that's okay because we did not want the rest of our holiday to be ruined.

For the second time

For the second time, I have visited this hotel, the bed is still bad, I could feel the spring, all the staff are lovely,

I do not like him the bald man, he is rude, and speaks badly to the guests, he does not want to help, therefore we have chosen another hotel next month, and July, he works there to sit on his but, when he speaks, he does not look at people, it looked rude, we did not feel welcome, not even the first time we were there he was just like that.
