0 stars if I could pick that (for families)

0 stars if I could pick that. First airport I have been to where strollers for kids are not allowed after you do the check in and leave your luggages. They lie to you after the security check there will be strollers waiting for you. What a big lie! There isn’t a point to get the strollers, people leave them and then you need to grab one. People fighting for strollers, in 2026! A total disgrace. The person who came up with this rule doesn’t have kids for sure and is here just to make life more difficult more familes. Shame!

You are back in 3rd world here

Disgusting place and the lowest of airports. Toilets are small and dirty, no (liquid)soap , no paper to dry your hands. Smoking area is in the middle of walking way with the door open. People do not want to talk English and even the ground crew’s English is bad.
Met one really kind person from the staff. There should be more of this.

Security was quick but unkind. Arriving 3 or 2,5 hours prior to departure is just ending in a long wait and torture for you. Be sensible, come on time but one hour is as much enough as anywhere else. No kid’s place or a nice restaurant to kill the time. Probably the airport is open thanks or due to WizzAir… I have not seen any other plane… so

Worst airport ever!

This was, without a doubt, the worst airport I've ever been to. Even basic amenities are missing. You want to sit down? That's a shame, there are barely any seats, resulting in people having to sit on the floor. You want to use the toilets? That's fine, just don't mind the utterly disgusting state of them and the smell of urine. There is a single cafeteria with insane prices even for an airport. You wanted to stay there and eat your meal? Too bad, there are only about 4 tables. You want to breathe? That's allowed, just be aware that the smoking "area" is an OPEN room inside the airport, which means the whole airport is full of cigarette smoke. How is this a Western-European airport in 2025?

Shit Dortmund airport

Two flights at 9:05, and the security line lasted an hour and a half. People in the line were nervous. The staff member was unhelpful, didn't listen to questions, and nervously replied to everything that everyone was waiting and was already late, and there was nothing they could do. I arrived at the airport at 7:20, and didn't get through security until 8:50! The plane, as a reminder, was supposed to take off at 9:05. The man at the scanner, knowing that people were practically already late for their flight and the line stretched the entire length of the airport, had time to chat and laugh with his coworker instead of serving passengers as quickly as possible! Not to mention how slowly he worked!

outrage, injustice

Hello. At the airport 22 June 2025 around 2pm, after we checked in our luggage, the staff found a toy gun during the inspection of our hand luggage. It was brand new, without packaging though, but the child had not yet had time to play with it. Also it was pink. The child paid for it himself. The purchase cost the child €20. So, when they found the gun in our hand luggage, the employees took it out, examined it, opened it, closed it, and even shot it. By the way, there were no bullets in it. It shoots with a low sound only. The employees decided that it was impossible to take it to the plane. And they threw it in the trash right in front of the child!!!!!! Our relative was at the airport. Who theoretically could have taken the toy. I asked the employees to give the toy to the relative. To which I was refused. Do the employees have the right not to give our thing to relatives? Do the employees have the right not to let me out of the inspection area in order to give the toy to the relative or use the storage room? I believe that my rights and the rights of my child were seriously violated! Don't I have the right to safe my honestly earned money? The airport is not a prison, people should have their right to walk out and safe NOT DSANGEROUS TOY bought in a TOY shop with money.
PS It was also very hot at the airport because the air conditioning wasn't working

They not only take the pram before hand…

They not only take the pram before hand to check it so I had to carry my baby all the way inside but they also said that we would be able to get it in the other side but when we arrived they said they took it to the plane already. So I had to carry him all the way with the luggage. I broke my back doing that and no consideration or apology. The staff was super rude and not helpful at all.

Not great, not terrible.

Not the best, not the worst. It's alright, but queues can get annoyingly large with little to no space to sit down and wait. Cleanliness is so-so. But hey, it's acceptable for a small regional airport that mainly facilitates low-cost flights.
