Super helpful, listens, technical knowledge

I purchased a Sonder Bike from the Ambleside Shop. Georgina was really helpful, really knew her stuff (I had no technical knowledge) and listened carefully to my biking needs (rather than trying to sell me something). Really patient too whilst I tested bikes and asked her a ton of questions. Very impressed and would highly recommend.

Great Customer Service

I ordered a new tent in a recent sale and after not receiving an email confirmation I contacted the team. Brendan from Alpkit responded quickly and got my order sent next day.

Small glitches like this are always going to happen with any company, but Alpkit excel above others by providing great customer service, responding quickly, and being empowered to resolve the issue.

Fantastic company to deal with

Fantastic company to deal with. Great products and great value but also exceptional customer service. I ordered several products for my wife and I but I screwed up on applying a discount code at the online checkout and realised too late the mistake I made. I immediately contacted the Alpkit customer support team and Brendan fixed the issue straight away. Very responsive and impressive customer focus. I will definitely be using Alpkit again.

Good customer service

Chairs were delayed due to stock issues. Good comms and when I realised the price had reduced in the period I was waiting for delivery, Brendan was happy to refund the difference, no questions asked.

How all companies customer service should be like

I Had a technical question of which Brendan resolved instantly to my total satisfaction.
In todays world of shocking customer service this made such a plesant surprise.

amazing customer support!

I purchased a bike pack from Alpkit 2 years ago but not been able to use it due to injury until now. I could not work out how to attach it to my saddle so i contacted Alpkit to explain the situation, and without hesitation they identified the issue and have resolved it by sending a new part within 24 hours. How amazing is that??? thank you!!!

First class customer service…

Wanted to pen a quick line to say how appreciative I am of the Alpkit support team - genuinely my best experience of customer service for as long as I can remember…. I arranged a return through Alpkit’s Royal Mail collect service which went zinging away with Royal Mail only to be followed up later in the day by a Royal Mail email saying the collection had failed and the return cancelled! Brendan in the customer service team immediately took ownership of the problem rather than sending me back to Royal Mail and sorted the whole thing out with maximum reassurance and no fuss. Not only that but the phone was answered pretty much straight away and Brendan followed up over email in a similarly super-efficient way. If only all customer service experiences were like this!

Outstanding customer service

I purchased a water bladder from Alpkit back in December. It recently started leaking but the o ring seal was replaced by Alpkit within 48 hours at no cost. Outstanding customer service!

Amazingly responsive service

Amazingly responsive service.

My head torch battery stopped working and they identified the issue and agreed to send a replacement immediately.

Praise for Brendan (online store)

I’ve bought many products from alpkit both in stores and online. Recent made a purchase online and the product, delivered by DPD, did not get to me through one reason or another. I spoke to Brendan and he sorted me with a replacement in quick time which is very much appreciated. I like the community feel and support of alpkit, so thank you very much.

4 stars are for brilliant customer…

4 stars are for brilliant customer service from Rachel, she responded to my query in little over an hour and sent instructional video to set up my compact hiking pole. Yes you read that right, I needed instructions for a pole. Minute long video easy to follow but why it could not be explained clearly on packaging is a mystery. As for the pole very hard to pull out top section first time, in fact I could not do it at all, my husband had a go, he struggled to do it too. It seems to have loosened up after opening and shutting half a dozen times. Feels like some WD40 would be helpful but reluctant to try as at this point not sure I won't be returning it.

The use of instructional video is becoming widely used and there is an increasing number of people prefer this type of instructions that can be watched long after any paper copy was thrown away (not everyone reads the instructions).

Order Ti Sx Eagle on 31 March on sale…

Order Ti Sx Eagle on 31 March on sale price ,so ordered with build date 21 April , placed order then they change build date after the order was placed to 28 April without any notice or consultation.
So got in contact with them and after a week or so time wasting with chat boxes also phone calls they then say our mistake it will go out on the 21April.One week of wasted time chasing them for a outcome, no consideration for your time , that is just wasted .
No one wants to be treated this way when you have paid a large sum of money for a bike .

Ok no problem will wait for the original order build date.
21 April comes and then goes no delivery, no emails, no phone call absolutely nothing .
24 April I then cancel through PayPal and get a refund. Nearly a month since I had paid in full.
The point is why would I want to buy a bike from a company full of blasé excuses about delivering items that you have paid in full for ,as far as any customer service with this company my experience was terrible , complete disregard for customer care.
Why state a delivery date before you order if you can’t fulfill the order.
Sorry no chains ,we have been very busy, its the holidays, maybe that will be your build date ect . Ridiculous
Then have no offer to try to rectify this situation and let’s see what we can do for you , no nothing.Absolutely no respect for your time or inconvenience.
Yes received full refund but they wasted nearly a month of my time with an off the shelf order they could not complete without wasting more of my time.

I will move on to a reliable customer based bike company.

There is no excuse for delivering the bike later than expected, i'm sorry that we haven't met your expectations.

Hopefully I can explain the background to how we produce our bikes so other customers understand that custom building awarding winning bikes is very different to buying an off the shelf bike.
The majority of the components to build our bikes come in to our warehouse every week there is constant flow of frames, seatposts chains etc there are a lot of these and they come from multiple suppliers to make up a bike. When we take an order we factor in both when we can build your bike and when the components will arrive. Often frames will arrive on a Monday and the bike will get built on a Tuesday. We build in some contingency but not alot. Occasionally we get a series of events such as sickness in the team, holidays and a late delivery all together and that knocks the delivery date.

We do offer ready to ride bikes and these are listed on the website and will get dispatched next day. The vast majority of our bikes get built on time, however i understand that in this case we were 100% late for your bike and we will use your experience to learn from and discuss with the team, and can see that communication would be a key part to improve.

I had ordered the XXL neoprene shorts as the XL was out of stock . Sure enough , the XXL were really too big .
The staff were super-quick and helpful in telling me when the XL would be in stock , and sending me a link to return .
