I would like to email Alinta, however there is no page on their extensive website that give an email address for me to contact customer service. I can FAX ! them, I can phone them, I can Chat them BUT I cannot EMAIL them. Am I missing something here??? I was locked out of my account and i was seeking some solutions. Otherwise they do provide good service.

Having been previous customers with Alinta for many years, reopening an account with guidance from Tegan made rejoining a simple, stress-free, and seamless experience. We are older people with hearing difficulties; however, Tegan’s patience, attention to detail and clear answers to all our questions gave us confidence that we had chosen not only the best option for us, but also a trusted electricity provider. Tegan’s caring attitude, along with her knowledge and professionalism, helped us to make the decision to return to Alinta. Thank you, Tegan.

On 1 and 2 July 2026, I attempted to switch my electricity supply to Alinta Energy under an active market offer listed on the federal government's Energy Made Easy portal (Plan ID: ALI1022100MRE3). This plan remained active on the government portal until at least 5 July.
The website links provided on the portal failed to process the code. Upon using the website live chat on 2 July, I waited over five hours and was advised that Alinta Energy would not honour the rate.
Following an initial escalation request, a representative called on 15 July and formally refused to provide the plan, stating that the business was not required to match rates listed on the government database.
Following a formal complaint lodged with the Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW, Alinta Energy's Customer Advocacy team contacted me on 17 July. The representative used the call to offer an alternative, higher-priced market contract and again stating they did not have to match the plan advertised. I declined the offer and explicitly stated multiple times that I would not be transferring my account to Alinta Energy.
Following that telephone conversation, Alinta Energy issued a written email summary of the discussion. This summary inaccurately characterised my statements and timeline to suggest I had simply missed a deadline.
I have formally refuted this email summary in writing, requested that the business place a strict no-contact order on my details, and forwarded the written record back to EWON for investigation.
Consumers utilising government comparison tools should be aware that Alinta Energy has refused to honour active portal listings and has issued inaccurate written summaries of customer disputes.

Don't allow change of plan while overseas because only costly phone call, not a webpage method

The girl was very helpful (I think) unfortunately I didn’t understand 50% of what she said and said yes to her many questions when I probably should have said no.
