Cheaper hotel rate for $100 Cheaper than any other site!

I used it and my bank flagged it as fraud.... seemed weird but I accidentally booked the wrong week so asked for a refund. They gave me all my money back and I booked a different week without a single issue. Hotel manager knew the site when I brought it up and everything went fine. 👍
Honestly I'm still sketched out by it though cause of the dramatic drop in price for my hotel compared to ANY other site even the hotels official website...I checked my transaction history for the week after I booked and nothing weird on it. I was surprised i could book it on Firefox with a bunch of ad blocks and anti tracking things set up but the site still worked all the way even at the payment part. I paid $332 for a week while every other site gave me at least $460 so definitely be cautious maybe I just got lucky hahaha 😅

Do NOT Book with Wowtrip - Unreliable and Untrustworthy

We booked a 3-day trip with Wowtrip in April and took time off work to enjoy the getaway. A few days before our departure, they informed us that due to an issue on their end with booking the trip, it had to be canceled. Instead of offering a refund, they provided a voucher to rebook the trip, which was frustrating but we decided to give them another chance.

We used the voucher and booked another 3-day trip in April for September, six months in advance. Despite having so much time to arrange everything, they contacted us yet again, just a few days before our planned trip, citing another "internal issue," and canceled the trip. This repeated failure shows a complete lack of reliability.

I can’t trust Wowtrip to deliver. Save yourself time, money and days off and avoid Wowtrip!

Nope

We bought a weekend trip back in December 2019. Due to Covid we had to postpone our trip to December 2022, they confirmed the date and a day before the supposedly “trip” we sent an email asking for further details about the travel. They never replied. We called and the person who picked up the phone informed us that there was an issue with our reservation so nothing was going to happen the next day. We asked to reschedule or to get our money back. She said she didn’t know whether this was possible and that she would have ask the person in charge. We never heard from them, we tried to call several times and sent emails. No answer. No refund. Stay away

Used to be good--now it seems like a scam

In February 2024 WOWTRIP took my money and sent me a confirmation that the company was planning my trip, I discovered the company was NOT planning my trip. I received this news only three days before my confirmed trip was supposed to begin. Although I had emailed the company some five days earlier with questions about the trip insurance, when the company finally responded, its email said in essence, “Sorry, no trip for you. Pick other days.”
Fortunately, my situation is such that I did not have to request vacation leave from an employer or arrange care for pets or family members. Unfortunately, about a week after receiving WOWTRIP’s confirmation, I purchased a non-refundable train ticket to Madrid and a non-refundable hotel accommodation for the night before my trip.
Not only did WOWTRIP fail to notify me in a timely manner that, confirmation notwithstanding, there was no trip for me, the company continues to ignore my requests for a refund of my 538 euros. Several years ago, I took a WOWTRIP that was wonderful, but now I wonder if the company is about to go out of business.
Still trying to get my money back.

I would give this company no stars

I would give this company no stars if that was possible. Their customer service is appalling and their website often has a 404 Not Found error code. I have emailed them more than 10 times with minimal response in attempt to get a refund or even just to access a functional website. Do not book with this company, they are likely a scam.

Fun but could be better

Fun to have a surprise trip but communication was a bit lacking - emailed whilst away to ask about checking in for return flight and never received a response. Luckily I found the boarding passes uploaded in the shared google drive by accident. Despite two rooms booked for a family of 4, rooms in hotel were on different floors - should have been next to each other. Hotel location could have been better too in the old town rather than opposite the noisy train station.

Poor Customer Service

I have travelled with WowTrip before and had a great experience but this is my second trip and I felt that their customer service was a let down.

I went on holiday with them last week. A week before we were due to leave they have called to say my flight had been cancelled (although they later emailed me confirming it was cancelled a while before that and they didn’t tell me). I assumed that if this happened they would look at another option. I had no idea where my cancelled flight was going and they set a price assuming they can get a holiday for me and still make a profit. Surely they take that gamble and it’s not my fault if they ultimately lose money. I was then told that I have to pay an additional £500 if I still wanted to go. I couldn’t see anything in their Terms that allowed them to do this and I was under the impression this is prohibited under the package holiday regulations but they say that they are treating it like a new booking. They told me that I needed to make a decision on the same day and they promised to send me further information so that I can decide. They didn’t send anything which led to a very stressful weekend!

Until the flight cancellations calm down I would not recommend using wowtrip. The trip was a lot of fun in the end and the concept is great but they are unreliable and their T&Cs need a lot of work.

Hello Tess,
thank you for your comment.

We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction, so after reviewing your booking, we would like to clarify what happened with your Wowtrip. In your case, the airline you were travelling with cancelled your flight at very short notice.

The airline is solely responsible for the cancellation. For our part, we have looked for alternatives such as postponing your Wowtrip, doing another type of Wowtrip on the same dates or doing an Original Wowtrip at an extra cost. Finally, we were able to find a solution and placed you with an airline that provided us with available seats at the last minute, so that you could travel and enjoy your Wowtrip.

However, we would like to point out that, for us, the satisfaction of our customers is the most important thing, so we are going to review what happened with the operations team. We are sorry for what happened and hope you enjoy your Wowtrip as much as you did your first one.
