Me and my partner went to iris hotel in…
Me and my partner went to iris hotel in Llandudno on the Thursday 2nd of April for the bank Holiday weekend and we was in the room 405 right at the top and the room was right behind the lift I still have the photos it was dirty in are room thay never come and cleaned it at any time during are stay we had to keep going asking for toilet rolls and coffee every day it needed a refresh in are room and everywhere in the hotel in room 405 there was rips in the net carten theother carten was dirty the wall was dirty we could not open the wardrobe doors properly so there for we couldn't use it as we should have we could only use one side of it . That was because the room door was stopping it from opening and that also ment that we couldn't open the room door properly as well . The shower head was not working as it should be the shower doors wasn't working as they should have been the water was going all over the floor because the shower doors was not shutting. And the room it self was to small for 2 big beds it only needed one big bed in there . And I find it odd that it's Cash only in that place. So i will say we WILL NOT BE GOING THERE AGAIN . We do not recommend this place.
Expedia illegally blocks one key
Expedia - Your agents not only faked making a booking, you also added fake one key cash to my account which you have fraudulently blocked me from using. YOU OWE ME 547 USD. Also I am informing European Commission, federal trade commission and other regulators of this scam.
Horrible
After the flight was cancelled, they booked me another flight 2 days later. Not even a phone call from them, just an email. I found another solution that brought me back home the same day. I called to discuss a refund, after 20 minutes on the phone with a guy who constantly interrupted me, told me that their 'policy' could not do anything from me. Basically, tough luck, sort it yourself. After booking more than 30 flights with them, this is the last one.
Nothing short of criminal
Nothing short of criminal. My flight with Eurowings was changed and I did not accept the change and am hence eligible for a reimbursement. This has been approved by the Airlines, however, Expedia has still not transferred the money 2 months in. I have similar scenarios with them for 2 more flights. They customer support is a nightmare and they do not speak the local language (in this case German). The emails come back with the same excuse over and over...saying "we need to look into this" and "it will take one to 2 weeks. No you do not need to look into this, you just need to transfer the money and do your job, it has been 9 weeks already. I have filed an official complaint with consumer protection and will never ever use this company again.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Extremely long waiting times to talk to an agent. My flights were cancelled by the airline. After multiple tries and hours waisted waiting on the line to try and find an alternative flight or receive a refund still no resolution. I was told by an agent that I will receive a feedback by latest 24 hours. It has been 5 days and still no updates.
EXPEDIA'S terrible customer support
EXPEDIA'S terrible customer support. My Husband and I travel frequently to Arizona. I am 78 yr old and I had a very difficult time on Expedia Chat trying to explain my dispute with Expedia regarding a duplicate charge for my Hotel stay. I was able to finally get a phone number for Expedia's customer service. A representative answered and asked me about my call. I explained briefly. Without a word He placed my call on hold for 33 minutes. I hang up the phone with much frustration and wasn't able to resolve my issue. I plan on avoiding any travel plans through Expedia. Many Seniors are finally able to travel after their retirement. Expedia
should be more considerate how we are treated. Sincerely M.Sheyka
worst support ever!!!!!
Serious Privacy Breach and Mishandling of Account Security
On August 16, I used my personal Expedia account to purchase a flight-and-hotel package for several of my work partners. For their convenience in viewing their flight details, I used their personal phone numbers as the contact numbers on the booking. On the same day, my colleagues received an SMS from Expedia containing a link. At the time, I was unaware that this link could directly access my personal account. It was not until October 24 that one of my colleagues, Ms. Tang, informed me that the link provided by Expedia allowed her to log into my account and view all of my booking history.Immediately, I contacted an Expedia agent through the online chatbot to inquire about this issue. Since it involved my personal privacy, I made it clear that the matter was of great concern to me. The agent escalated my inquiry to her manager, Katherine. Katherine emphasized during the conversation that such access was impossible, and confirmed after checking the system that my account could not be accessed through any link sent by Expedia, especially since I had never shared my password. I thanked her for the verification and ended the chat. However, later that night at around 10:00 p.m., I again asked Ms. Tang to test the link. She immediately demonstrated, with screenshots, that she was still able to log into my Expedia account using the same link. I was deeply shocked, as she could view even my cancelled bookings and every single transaction record. Although I did not ask whether my past communications with Expedia agents were visible, Ms. Tang remarked that since the link could log directly into my account, anyone else who had received that same message could also do the same.I immediately contacted Expedia again via chatbot. This time, I was given a phone number and instructed to call customer service directly. When I called, I spoke to a live representative and explained the situation. The staff member, who identified themselves as part of the Customer Service team, claimed to have never heard of such a complaint and insisted that it would be impossible to log in without the account password. I informed them that one of the travellers had, in fact, accessed my account through the Expedia link and had provided screenshots to verify it. The agent then said that the matter would need to be reported to the IT department, but could not confirm a specific response time. I stressed the urgency of the situation as it concerned a serious privacy breach and requested that my case be marked as urgent. The following day, as I was leaving for a business trip, I received an email from an Expedia representative identifying themselves as a Customer Service agent. The message asked how I could be reached. Since I did not have access to voice calls, I asked them to contact me via WhatsApp or by calling my hotel directly. They confirmed that they would call the hotel on October 28 at 10:30 p.m., but no call was ever received. The next day, they sent another email claiming they had encountered a language barrier with the hotel and would call me the following morning instead. To avoid further miscommunication, I informed my hotel in advance that Expedia would be calling between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. and asked them to forward the call to my room. However, I again received no call.On October 31, I finally received an email from Leah – Global Privacy Specialist, which stated as follows:
Booked a holiday to Mauritius and on…
Booked a holiday to Mauritius and on arriving at the apartment complex there was no one to meet me or available on site to book me in. Contacting Expedia from abroad was painful, constantly waiting in queues at my own expense and then getting bounced from pillar to post as no one was able to assist me or get in contact with the owner of the apartments. After hours of phone calls the only assistance i was offered was a full refund despite the fact that i now had no where to stay. Obviously the owner is running a scam. Can't understand how they can advertise accommodation, take your money and not have any communication channels with the owner or processes if there are any problems. Clearly they don't do there due diligence on accommodation they market.
Realized my flight was cancelled... AT THE AIRPORT
I booked a flight through Expedia, and found out it was cancelled at the airport after I couldn't find the gate. I called the airline, and they said it was cancelled 5 days prior, but I never received any information from Expedia.
I had to book tickets the next day, and spend another day in the city.
I contacted their support team, and it was useless. Not getting my refund any time soon it looks like.
Please Save yourself the hassle and don't book through this platform.
Very disappointing experience – no support and lost opportunities
I had to cancel my booking because the host never replied to my messages, and the phone number they provided was not working. I tried several times to reach them but couldn’t get any response. After a week, I noticed that the prices for similar properties had increased by about 30%.
I contacted customer support to explain the situation and ask for a discount or some kind of help, but they refused. Because of this, I missed the chance to book another place at the original price, and now all the good options are gone.
I’m very disappointed with the lack of support and understanding from the platform. I expected more protection for guests in situations like this.
Vacation package on Expedia
I booked a vacation package on Expedia 5-6 months in advance. I saved money for this vacation with my wife, we took the days off from work, and a month before the vacation the expedia sent us an email that one of our flight it has been cancel. Without giving us another option. I call them, asking for another flight, maybe the day before or two days before or even 3 days before, telling us that they don't find any flights. Thats it? I thought Expedia was a trusted travel company, but looks like they don't care about the customers.
Such a poor experience
Such a poor experience . I have used there website to book a hotel called as The country man inn,East Knighton, Winfrith, DT2 8LL, United Kingdom. Though I cancelled 7 days in advance for a booking which had free cancellation policy. Yet no refund was issued neither a reason was quoted. Avoid Expedia totally utter non sense and thieves. They say this is between hotel and customer - then how come booking are done on Expedia when they don't have control on it.I waited patiently and this a reply I got . booking was done for 27th August , cancellation was done on 20th August . I have a valid document but still nothing.
Refused a car based on unpublished arcane booking term
I was refused my car rental (EUR200) at Thrifty in Oregon (USA), which I booked through expedia.de. Thrifty supposedly requires an international driver's licence if you book through a non-US website. I provided an Oregon licence - to rent a car in Oregon - and was refused on this basis.
Expedia refuses to refund my money, referring to their T&Cs that I needed to check with Thrifty for their requirements. But Thrifty's website, while indicating other situations in which they require international licences, says nothing about this arcane requirement. I am flabbergasted that Expedia can take my money and not provide me a service, when I have done everything right.
Highly recommend NOT USING EXPEDIA for car rentals.
There is NO transparency
I booked a flight with Experia some monthd ago, and I was given the option to select my seats. I selected my seats and paid. Everything was OK in the app and my itinerary. A friend tried to book the same flight, amd when he was selecting their seat, MY seats were available to pick up. I immediately contacted Expedia and they assured everything was all right and my seats were 100% confirmed. Today I received an email saying there was a mostake and my seats were indeed not reserved. Now, i was told I will get them directly at the airport. Why did they give the option and the assurance of seats if they will just take it away from you?! I will never book with Expedia again.
We booked a trip through Expedia
We booked a trip through Expedia. Total was over 1000euro! For some reason they charged us a full amount in three separate payments, then reserved another 500eu in my account. Its been over 3 weeks and we still cant access the money! We spent over 6hours on the phone and they wont give it back no matter what!!! They keep blaming it on the airline even though our payment was made through Expedia website. Our debit card details were shared with other companies to make extra charges. If you deal with these scums, be prepared to go through hell and you will still not get your money back and they will just blame others!
On top of that we were put in hold for several hours, even ignored by their “supervisor” mid call she literally muted us while i was explaining her and then dropped the call.
We are currently preparing documents to take a legal action against this company.
Under no circumstances ever even attempt to use their services!!!
Promised a refund by agent but not given one
I had used expedia for years since I thought it would save me a little money. However, this last experience caused me to lose quite a bit of money, and I will never use them again because of this. I put a filter to look for flights with seat choice included because I was traveling with 6 other family members and I have 2 young kids. I buy the tickets and uh oh, there is no seat choice even though I specifically filtered for it. I speak to an agent who said it was an error and to go ahead and buy the seats on the airlines' website. It will be refunded. Well, that was not true, and I am now out quite a bit of money. I should have bought a flight that actually had seat choice instead which is what I had tried to do. It is in our conversation that this occurred, and they won't even own up to it. Instead they blamed the airline and said the airline would take care of it, which they didn't
I rented a car through Expedia
I rented a car through Expedia, and the rental company (Avis) charged my card extra without any valid documentation. Despite my efforts, I was unable to get the money back. Very disappointing experience.
We setup a hotel Reversation with…
We setup a hotel Reversation with Expedia and tried to cancel but have not received are money back and then charged another $125.00 for trying to cancel. Will not use Expedia in the future.
