It was a pleasure dealing with womacks, we ordered some beautiful furniture for our garden early this year. The communication with them was great and the items arrived in the specified time given at point of order. I was abit hesitant to write a review to quickly due to some of the other comments and wanting to see the quality over time, but I can say the other reviews are not inline with my experience as the womacks team really did provided a excellent quality product in a timely manner.
Great effort guys, we will be back later in the year for the Christmas selection.

They make it difficult when you cancel an order
This company make it extremely difficult to cancel an order and get a refund, even though you try to cancel they insist on charging you for delivery and sending the item. Then tell you to refuse delivery but they dont supply the courier or tracking number when asked so you have no idea who is delivering and when. I have several deliveries every day so trying to spot and refuse the correct delivery from Womacks is virtually impossible for me. Peter Graham order number #34633
This is a follow-up to the response below received from David Womack at Womacks of Bawtry.
Well David despite stating it was too late the cancel the delivery of the clock it never arrived, so it wasn't too late.
Secondly you then stated that when the clock arrived I should keep it as a gift. Well I never received the delivery and I never got the gift.
And the tracking number that you promised had been emailed to me never arrived because there was no tracking number, no delivery and no free gift.
David,try and tell the truth and honour your promises.
David I've just read your latest load of rubbish and lame excuses, you just make it up as you go along and pull any and every excuse out the bag, blaming everybody but yourself.
I've read some of your replies to other customers that have complained and it seems to be David is always right.You're not a nice person to do business with and god help anyone who complains.

Thankyou for your 1 star review. It always makes me smile that people do not read the T&c’s when ordering a large item, but then blame the company it was purchased from because of that error.
Your item was ordered, under 10 to 14 working days delivery. You cancelled the item after it had been sent. I can’t stop it, or divert it back to us, hence you refuse the delivery and then it’s returned. The parcel itself will be extremely distinguishable from your other numerous parcels delivered daily, as it has WOMACKS OF BAWTRY on a HUGE printed label on the parcel. A parcel is not ‘virtually’ impossible to refuse, it’s just very simply refused. Virtually is an irrelevant statement.
You failed to mention what you said in your email.
Please cancel and refund order number #34633 as the item is no longer required.
Not a problem if no longer required - but if not required, I’m in my right not to refund the delivery charge it cost me to send it. Everyone has the right to cancel, but before doing so, read what the refund policy of the company is, as most companies do have a return and refund policy.
Companies are not there for the purpose of ‘buyers remorse’ - why should it cost me for a ‘buyers remorse’ refund? I’m actually in my right to only give a credit note as ‘buyers remorse’ offers me that protection, and also charge a re stocking fee.
But I’m far too nice to do that.
Before writing a review with the intention of trying to ruin a company’s reputation may I suggest also looking at your own error in failing to read the conditions of ordering from that company.
Meant as information - I’m not the kind of person that writes replies that are nasty or fiction, I just deal in fact.
You can keep the clock, if it arrives, with my compliments and have it as our gift. I have also refunded the full payment of £399 being the amount paid.
Every time you look at the clock you will always be reminded of how nice the owner of Womacks Of Bawtry is.
I also post all our reviews on Facebook etc, as, good or bad, It’s good for other people to read about how reviews come about.
Further - Tracking is provided when the item is dispatched - we can’t dispatch without tracking numbers. Check your spam maybe?
Having read your ‘edited’ post, you need to show me where I ‘promised’ a free gift? I never promised it - I said you could keep it if it turns up, that’s not promising a free gift. The clock arrived back to us, having been returned by the delivery company, broken, which is what happens when hen parcel force can hear broken glass, it gets returned to sender. So no, you won’t be getting a free clock, you got your full refund, so get over it.
As the saying goes ‘you don’t get owt for nowt’
Stop feeling entitled to something you haven’t paid for.
You should try running a business when you have to deal with people that decide that they wish to try and destroy a reputation of a 4 decade old family business because they didn’t read how long an item takes to be delivered. I’m glad you read the other 3 complaints - and my replies / what would you expect me to do, ignore them? Once again, I deal in fact, and the replied state fact. I don’t deal in ‘rubbish’ or ‘lame excuses’ as a reply because for one- define ‘rubbish’? And for 2 - I don’t need a ‘lame excuse’ because I have no reason to have an excuse - lame or not, but your incorrect use of the English language is obvious to all that you just with to be derogatory towards me?
You’re a wise man to realise that at those times I’m always right, because I agree wholeheartedly.
Don’t reply, it’s beyond boring to have to keep going over the same old thing.
I wish nothing but the best for you and your family, and whatever business your in, I do hope that it is one that will continue through current and future adversity.
Shame you didn’t publish my email to you.

My 8 seater all weather fire pit/table and chairs is absolutely wonderful. 7 seater corner sofa to match brings a touch of Quality. Very well made. Covers fit snugly. From the point of enquiry to the delivery was handled expertly. David and his team were a pleasure to deal with.

Good products, questionable customer service skills
This company have some lovely products. They fail significantly on customer service. I will not go into details, suffice it to say I was laughing at some of the replies I received from someone within this company. If that person was the ‘owner’ or some customer service assistant I am not sure, but they have no people skills, which is a shame. Lots of sass, no tact and diplomacy and a clear sense of self. The reply to the latest one star review they received is another example of the directness that is employed.
Shame as they have a reasonable business, but do need to work at customer services/support. Clearly in this firm the customer is never right and few firms survive too long with such an approach.

I strongly advise against ordering…
I strongly advise against ordering anything from this company. They ship glass items in a reckless manner, and once they've been delivered all broken (see pictures attached), they do not take any responsibility whatsoever, and do not reimburse a dime. On top of that, no representative of the company has ever apologized for the items that were broken.

We do not send out items in a 'reckless manner' - they are packed as well as they can be to avoid being smashed - but nothing we can do about it once it leaves our hands. Its a shame you didnt take a picture of the extremely well packaged huge box, wrapped and extremely well packed box, which was again massively bubble wrapped on the outside, covered in FRAGILE tape, and also before you have taken out the huge amount of bubble wrap, and taken them out of the large heavy duty cardboard box they were all packed in, before photographing them. But if you did that, it would not have had the same effect for your 1 star review. I would also suggest, as you obviously did not read before ordering, the Terms & Conditions clearly stated on our website about the shipping of glass items. You made the decision to accept those Terms & Conditions - and now because you did not read them, you assume we just send things out and if they dont arrive in one piece then we just refund in full. Your error for not reading them. As for an apology - we didnt break them, ask MyHermes for one. If you also ready your emails - an apology was sent, but it appears you dont seem to read our emails, or Terms & Conditions'
Of course - this is all our fault, as always. Take account for your own errors in not reading prior to ordering.
Glass items are in store collection – if you decide to have any glass item shipped via postal services, Womacks Of Bawtry take no liability for the item/s. Womacks Of Bawtry will ensure that the item/s is packed accordingly to avoid any damage, but any item which arrives damaged is down to the purchaser – no liability for any glass item smashed in transit will be down to Womacks Of Bawtry. Any glass item arriving smashed will not be refunded by Womacks Of bawtry. All liability lies with the purchaser and under no circumstances will Womacks Of Bawtry take any liability. This does not include glass items delivered directly by Womacks Of Bawtry
We also always refund for items which arrive damaged - but you have to firstly contact us and return the item. You advised you were returning them, they have not been returned.
So - its you who is holding up any refund due

Great store, lovely choice of quality products, fast delivery
I was looking for a specific floral arrangement during lockdown and wanted it immediately. It was out of stock everywhere then I came across Womack’s of Bawtry, item showed as in stock so I emailed to confirm got a prompt response promised delivery on Friday so I ordered. Item was delivered as promised by one of the company’s drivers who was very pleasant and goods well packaged and as described. Very pleased with my purchase looks fantastic and matches my room perfectly. Great company to order from and would purchase again.

I visited Womack’s before the lockdown and was really impressed by the how friendly and welcoming allege staff were, and their level of expert knowledge. The ship itself is beautifully laid out and sells lovely bespoke furniture and furnishings and was a genuine pleasure to visit.

I love this place! I never feel quite right until i've left with at least my favourite room fragrance or candle.
