This site had absolutely everything we needed to plan the perfect wedding and was easy to use. I recommend it to all my friends. My guests loved the countdown emails.

Joy made it so easy to connect everyone to our wedding. We used it to schedule amenities, hotel stays and it helped our family stay close together. I love the way the app was an all in one place to go for our wedding needs. We were able to create invitations, a webpage, thank you cards, a registry, and more! Thank you, you really helped make our wedding a joy.

Joy has been easy to use and has given us a lovely platform to share oyr plans with all of the people we love.

Disappointing, unprofessional and far from user friendly

I honestly wouldn’t recommend WithJoy. What should be a straightforward and enjoyable experience when creating a wedding website has turned into a frustrating mess.

The platform is not particularly user friendly, and the email sending functionality is incredibly restrictive. The tiny sliver of content you’re given to work with makes the emails look cheap and unprofessional, which is completely at odds with the quality and presentation you want for your wedding.

The latest issue is that WithJoy has started adding random rental car advertising to our wedding website. We have already complained about unwanted content appearing on our site, and this is now our second complaint. What makes it even more frustrating is that I have specifically toggled the advertising feature off, yet these promotions are still appearing.

A wedding website should be a personal space for couples to share information with their guests, not a platform for unwanted advertising. It is incredibly disappointing to have to keep checking our own website for random promotional content that we never asked for.

There are simply better options out there. Paperless Post, for example, offers a much more polished experience when it comes to wedding communications and invitations.

WithJoy might be free, but that doesn’t excuse the poor user experience, restrictive functionality or the lack of control over what appears on your own wedding website. I would seriously recommend looking at alternatives before committing to it.

Website was fine and we liked our design, but the automated accommodation feature caused significant confusion for our guests, when we had already recommended and booked out specific hotels for their use.

For how we used it (we sent paper invitations from an outside source and relied on this site for RSVPs), it worked pretty well. The website we created was super nice. We were just a little wary about putting individual items on the registry from outside websites. We found it a little confusing when someone did order and ultimately ended up pulling most items off of Joy and just linking to two outside store registries.

I am able to use it to track my RSVP and at the same time personalise the homepage for our guest to view.

Great webpage, many options to choose and very intuitive platform. It has it all!!

+ It was nice having everything in one place

- At times it was unclear if there was pre-populated content. The icon had a picture of another couple for instance when we published the RSVP.

- The registry interface was really unfriendly and the search function is not good. It wasn't very clear how to cash out and I thought I would get money through my Venmo, but the other option superceded my preference.

- The magic link created new instances of guests instead of populating their existing information.

- Having locked pages was confusing and some people got locked out and we couldn't figure out how to get them in.

- We sent a save the date on accident instead of an invite bc the labeling was confusing.

- The marketing emails amidst our very consuming planning journey were super annoying. We were clearly already using your product and the noise of the marketing emails made me dislike the product.

- The prepopulated accomodation content was confusing, we had a hotel block already.

- I think there should be more transparency around what Joy is making money off of.

The website was incredibly challenging to use. All we needed was evites and the whole process was frustrating. The UX and UI need significant upgrading in both design and flow. I work in and design interactive sites and would love to work with the owner to improve the user experience.

Was easy to use and made wedding planning easier with keeping track of guests

Amazing site! Everything was so simple to use and we had many options to choose from to plan for our wedding. This was definitely the site to use!

Was able to embed the free registration tracking link into my personalized website and it worked perfectly for what we needed. Very customizable - would recommend to friends.

It was easy to work on it! Really handy regarding guest list and all related with that! I’m really happy with the website in general.

We absolutely loved using Joy to help organise our wedding! It made the whole planning process so much easier, from creating our wedding website and managing RSVPs, recording menu choice and to share important information with our guests.

The app was incredibly user friendly, beautifully designed and helped us keep everything organised in one place. As we planned much of our wedding ourselves, it really took away some of the stress.

Our guests also found it easy to navigate, which was a huge bonus!

I would definitely recommend Joy to any couple planning their wedding. It was initially recommended by a friend who used it a few years back for her own wedding. Such a fantastic app that made our special day that little bit easier! ❤️
