Just received some sandals that were really uncomfortable to wear and looked cheaper than the photo online.

I received an email offering me 10% discount plus 25%off anything else.

I’ve asked them for a full refund but after reading these reviews, I’m now thinking this is going to be a bumpy ride…

SCAM COMPANY - BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AND REPORT THEM TO TRADING STANDARDS. The products are not as described ie I bought a pair of shoes that said “vegan leather “ yet the symbol on the shoe is that of a man made symbol. They made the buying process difficult so that you end up buying two of the same products at once and then you get charged twice for the same products. Then they make it difficult to send products back. They say they are a London based firm yet all their stuff is made and shipped from China. DO NOT BUY. TRADING STANDARDS NEEDS TO SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN.

Two dresses described as cotton-linen mix summer dresses. 14 days to arrive. BUT ---They are made of shiny, slippery nylon or similar, stitching with threads hanging loose, no label inside. They feel as if they were thrown together by an untrained and exhausted child, probably in China. An absolute disgrace.

OMG, always read reviews first. Bought a dress that looked lovely and reasonably priced because the site said returnable. An awful rag arrived so wanted to return for a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee full refund. After multiple emails they offer a 20% refund or you pay for expensive shipping costs. This company is a very deceptive scammer.

The products are of very bad quality and are nothing like the items shown on their website. Both items I received were faulty. Their returns policy is appalling, despite their website saying "our hassle-free returns make it simple to send it back", it so isn't! I am having to go down the route to claim my money back via Visa. If it were possible I would not have rated this company the one star shown.

PLEASE - Do not use this website! Cheap tat masquerading as quality by misleading photos. They make it sound easy to return but then incentivise you to keep the tat for a small discount. Or frighten you with inflated return postage to USA. If you think you are buying from a reputable British company, you are not.

Don't buy from this scam company Terracotta linen shirt was a cheap polyester bright red dishcloth. Couldn't return despite claims on site $50 postage or 20% to keep rubbish item

Misleading advertising and product. I’ve been trying to get my money back for weeks. If you have experienced the same, please report them to the ASA so this website can be taken down.
I have also reported them to trading standards and will contact my bank to raise a dispute. This outfit (no pun intended) is a total scam, don’t buy from them or you’ll end up with cheap fabric and printed graphic pockets!

If there were the option to choose no stars Wilson & Carter would definitely get a
big fat zero. This has to be the worst online shopping experience ever. I ordered three items. Two are just satisfactory, the third is of extremely poor quality and when I asked for returns information this is the reply I received:
"Here is what I'd like to do:
— Refund 10% of your order value directly back to your original payment method. No need to return the item. This will be processed as soon as you confirm.
— Send you an exclusive 25% discount code valid on any future order — our way of saying we value you as a customer and want to earn back your trust.
You won't need to worry about posting anything back or waiting on return approvals. Everything is handled on our side, quickly and without any hassle to you."

Obviously this was totally unacceptable so I replied and then received this response:

In practice, return shipping typically costs around $30–$50 USD per item, is paid by the customer, and requires additional transit time before any refund can be reviewed and processed.

Both options allow you to keep the item, avoid shipping costs, skip delays, and receive a guaranteed resolution right away. This is why most customers choose one of these options instead of returning."

So, they're obviously hiding something right from the start, the fact the items are shipped from abroad and nobody is likely to pay 30 - 50 USD to return something that is worth 30GBP. And why on earth would I want to keep an item I am trying to return because it is of such poor quality.

I then had to chase them for the 100% credit note which was not forthcoming. This was finally received to then discover you can't order one item to that value and apply the discount as your basket is then in effect empty forcing you to order something else. They have you over a barrel.

This has to be the worst online clothes shopping experience I have ever had and I really wish I'd read the Trustpilot reviews before I ordered anything.

Avoid this company like the plague. Despite their shop front it seems this company have nothing to do with London. Their clothes are of poor quality and their refund process is a battle.

I still haven't received resolution and frankly have lost the will.

Go Wilson & Carter, you win. Shame on you!

This company doesn’t even deserve one star. It is a scam. You can’t contact the company the product is rubbish and there is no way to return for a refund. I was lucky i got the bank to start a dispute with their bank and got my money back. DON’T TOUCH THIS COMPANY.

If I could write a zero I would. Absolutely awful, cheap material, complete rip off . Garment is poorly made and looks nothing like the picture. Synthetic- just awful and looking at reviews - not much chance of refund

Run for the hills. This is a SCAM. Not only are you wasting your money because the sizes are tiny, poor quality with a synthetic material that will be flammable in a fire so dangerous too. There is no embroidery on the Garment even the buttons are cheap & nasty. I won't send them back because I will pay more money doing that and a headache chasing the cash. I've been well & truly stitched up so please listen to me do not buy from this Company it's a Scam.

PLEASE do not order items from this company. The quality is beyond shocking and you have no option to return the items unless you pay more than the items are worth to post them back. This business is scamming many people out of their monies and I can only hope the amount of poor reviews will challenge their ability to trade!

Poor quality, looks like from UK but from China. Not fit for charity shop so going in the bin.

Do not buy from this company. Items are NOT as described on the website, the dress I got was cheap polyester tat, not the linen/cotton mix described.
Then you have trouble returning the item, being charged more than what was paid for the item in postage costs.
My advice is don’t waste your money and time buying from these people.

Do not buy anything from this online store. I purchased a pair of sandals which were of a very poor quality & were the wrong size to what I ordered. When trying to return them they try and fob you off with a 10% discount, not much use when the shoes are the wrong size. Then they threaten you with costly overseas returns which is just a con to get you to keep them. I wouldn't have another thing from this company the quality for the price is absolutely ridiculous.
