It is generated entirely from the information provided by the customer, and it reflects neither a vehicle's recorded history nor its verified condition. Our final offer is based on the market value of the vehicle after a professional, in-person appraisal.

That appraisal, along with the vehicle's history, identified factors that were not reflected in the online estimate. Your vehicle's Experian AutoCheck history discloses a documented accident report, and our professional appraisal identified multiple condition items not reflected online, including:

- Worn front brake discs and pads
- Damage to multiple alloy wheels
- Oxidation to the roof panel

Exactly what I expected

After submitting the vin number and answering several questions about the car I received an estimate of value. The car is a 2007 Corvette 3LT Z51 , 46k miles excellent condition. I then booked an appointment at the Belleville Illinois office for inspection and review. Now I’m not naive enough to think that number would stand. It was the “bait”. An agent called after I scheduled the appointment and told me that the “new “number was $430 less because of an internal adjustment out of his control. He then asked for some photos which I then forwarded to him. He calls back and tells me management reduced the price another $3400. Obviously I cancelled the appointment . I knew it would be a waste of time but I’m thankful they tried jerking me around before wasting my time at their office.Don’t believe the high review ratings from this site. It’s the “used car salesman”experience via the internet. There are many of those sites out there. Don’t expect a pleasant experience.

Cars like that are difficult for an automated estimate to value accurately, so once our specialists reviewed the specifics, the figure was revised to reflect its true market value. We also price-checked your car against Carvana and CarMax, and the figure we reached was higher than both of them.

We were quoted one price then when we got there they lowered the price it $1000.00! Yeah, scammed waste of time! Went to CarMax and got $2000.00 more for the car. No thanks We Buy Any Car. Would not recommend.

The most important point to explain is this: the high figure you first saw online was generated for a 2005 model, while your car is in fact a 1995, a full ten years older. In valuation terms that is effectively a completely different car, and it is the main reason the online figure and our offer were so far apart. Our online valuation is an estimate, not an offer, and it is generated entirely from the information provided by the customer when a vehicle is submitted. Once we confirmed the details directly from the VIN, the estimate was corrected to reflect the vehicle you actually own.

From there, the offer reflects the verified condition of the vehicle after a professional, in-person appraisal. That appraisal identified condition issues that were not reflected in the online estimate, including a brake fault requiring repair, four tires that needed replacing, and cosmetic paint damage across multiple panels. We invite all customers to join the appraisal process so they can see what we see and understand how a vehicle's condition affects its valuation.

We're sorry the final figure fell short of what you hoped for, and we respect your decision not to sell.
