Difficulty logging on to my account.

I was having difficulty trying to log on to an account that I hadn't accessed for a number of years.
Fran Loach sorted out the problems and answered all my questions quickly and efficiently. She has an excellent telephone manner and was extremely helpful.

An unprofessional financial services firm

I have worked in the Financial industry for thirty years. I have a good idea of how it works. I have been an investor for probably as many years, I understand how that environment works.

I have been with Utmost since a recent acquisition placed my investment portfolio in their care.

I have never met with such utter incompetence or a complete lack of understanding of client needs as this company provides.

Like several people in the comments section, I have requested a draw down on my portfolio, that was five weeks ago, I am still waiting.

My project for the coming Spring is to untangle myself from Utmost. They really have no place in managing peoples investment portfolios.

Pay attention to the 1* reviews!!

Pay attention to the 30% 1* reviews. Mine joins them. In early 2025 I made a withdrawal. It took months. So, in late 2025 I notified Utmost, via my advisor, of my intention to surrender my policy and that I required the cash in January 2026 to live on. Utmost ack'd this request in writing on Nov 26th 2025. I've since been hit with various intrusive information requests (eg. expose my entire net worth and how I obtained it.....not the funds in the account, not the funds that were deposited decades ago in a locked in pension account, my entire financial position), allegedly required by UK anti-money-laundering regulations. My advisor has provided Utmost with an accurate summary of where my original funds came from, and also a breakdown of my current net worth to the extent that I am comfortable sharing. No one has provided me with a genuine legal requirement to provide the detailed information Utmost has requested. Having reviewed the UK AML rules, Utmost requests are superfluous. AML rules pertain more to new account deposits, not withdrawals. I've had my advisor complain to Utmost. I've personally written via two of the email addresses that can be found if you dig enough online. Zero responses other than automated reflections. Utmost has responded to my advisor citing that they cannot yet give me a date by which my withdrawal will be processed. Utmost policy (I believe) cites 45 days to process. I've now been waiting 87 days and I do not have a date let alone MY MONEY.

Two consecutive withdrawal delays lasting months in a row is not a clerical error.

If you value your financial independence, and you don't want some faceless opaque organization trapping your money, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
