Quick supply but flawed
Quick supply, reasonably priced. Unfortunately, all timbers had numerous flaws, areas of rot and large bug holes (capricorn beetle? Maybe 15mm dia. Quite big). All flaws filled with some kind of epoxy(?) putty mixed with sawdust so really not good.

Edit 26.11.25-
From the images, there were no signs of rot- only old, historic beetle holes. As it’s Air Dried Oak, these were likely caused by the Capricorn beetle long before the timber was milled. Because the holes were quite large, we filled them with a sawdust and adhesive mix to give a tidier finish. This is purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect the strength.
We’ll take this on board and, next time, check with the customer first about whether they’d prefer the holes to be filled or left as they are.
The beams ordered were also rough sawn and ungraded therefore they won't be a finished beam and will look as supplied.
Hope this clears up the issue.

The timber at 60 x 59 mm were not…
The timber at 60 x 59 mm were not square and had to be planed to a square condition as corner posts for my job
My explanation was not clear . The sides of the posts were not at right angles 90 -degrees -. I therefore had to plane the posts square.

We’re sorry to hear you’re unhappy with the posts you received. After checking your order, we can confirm that the posts were cut to the exact dimensions you selected at 60mm x 59mm. As these two measurements differ, the posts are not square by definition, and the product supplied matches the specifications entered into our custom cut calculator by yourself at the time of order.

PAR posts not square
I ordered 6 planed all round 2500mmx94mmx94mm oak posts from UK Timber. When I got them and measured them, all but one of the posts were not square, and even that one was not 94mmx94mm. They ranged from 91mm to 102mm and some even had different dimensions at each end of the post! How difficult can it be to get dimensions cut accurately?! I needed to use the posts immediately with tradesmen on site, and returning the posts and/or getting new ones cut would be very costly to UK Timber and add a significant delay (and therefore cost) to me, so I suggested coming to a financial settlement. UK Timber eventually offered only £100 off (a discount of 20%). They admitted the posts should have been square and that the measurements were not within tolerance, yet they would not budge on their offer. Really disappointing, and let's face it, they should have been able to supply square posts in the first place.
