Good value for the money
Good value for the money. Always clean. Staff polite and helpful. I use them a lot for short stays around the country.
Blackpool South Shore Travelodge
We were put in a ground floor room that overlooked the kitchen and staff back entrance. We had to keep curtain closed from arrival because staff were having smoking breaks and chatting right outside our window. We were then awoken at 6.30am with what sounded like trolleys being moved and unloaded right outside our window. We raised our complaint at reception upon checkout and were advised to speak to the manager who was extremely sympathetic and wanted to give us a refund but when she found we had paid through PayPal she said she was Unable to as we had to raise the issue through the PayPal app but she would also contact them in our behalf. In Spire if sending numerous messages via the Travelodge/PayPal link we have received no reply whatsoever! There customer ser
vice is rubbish and has put me off ever booking another Travelodge if they can't even be bothered to reply.
Rahul Delivered Excellent Customer Service
My husband and I were staying overnight at the Travelodge in Brent Cross. On arrival at the hotel our room was not quite ready, so instead of making us wait longer than necessary, Rahul (Assistant Manager) promptly offered a room that was in a quieter location than our previous room.
I was also feeling unwell and asked for an extra duvet which was delivered by Rahul in a prompt and efficient manner.
Rahul was very attentive to our needs and his customer service skills are exemplary.
I would not hesitate to recommend this Travelodge to friends and family and would definitely stay again.
5 stars all round for Rahul!
Thank you Rahul for an enjoyable stay!
Better get a Travel Lodge Not
Better get a Travel Lodge, Better not in my view.
Stayed at the travel Lodge in Bath Waterside on the 4th of August 2025 for a few nights.
Check-in was fairly straight forward.
Went to our room only to find no air conditioning and a note in our room telling us that the window had been left open and a fan left in the room and the duvet had been left on the shelf should we need it?
No air conditioning meant the room was very warm, if you left the window open at night the road noise was very loud, and all sorts of insects made their way in to the room. If you closed the window it was too hot and still unable to sleep.
No privacy film or curtain in the room which meant other guests in adjacent rooms could look straight in and so could any passing traffic and pedestrians.
The Wi-Fi was not free expensive and was slow.
The parking was not free either and was very expensive. The car parking is part of the hotel complex.
Hotel staff were generally pleasant but the hotel is very dated, tired and in an unloved condition.
some of the common areas are reasonable.
Hotel has a policy of only cleaning and refreshing a room only when asked to do, but in our case they did not until we complained.
Staff know there are issues but just tell you it’s up to head office.
The cost per night is not cheap or value for money and that’s before you have added paying for Wi-Fi and parking into the final cost.
Having travelled around the UK as part of our holiday I would strongly advise you to give the Travel Lodge brand a miss, as other far cheaper and more modem accommodations is available.
One positive was they did do a nice breakfast
Amazing staff at the travelodge in…
Amazing staff at the travelodge in Ramsgate, from the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with friendliness and efficiency. We had stayed in Slough the night before which was horrible and had the car broken into. We arrived with no window in the car and it couldn't be repaired until the day after, they supplied us with something to cover the window and they also let us park right outside the door and blocked us in to stop anyone stealing the car. The room was as you would expect, the room was clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast looked presentable and the food was lovely, but the staff were unbelievable and definitely the best i've encountered in a Travelodge to date. Keep up the good work. Thanks to all the staff there.
As everyone else I have a busy life and…
As everyone else I have a busy life and doing four things at a time. I book a room for my son on line as everyone does and when my son got to the hotel I accidentally book for the wrong dates. Right days but wrong dates so instead of been helpful this company took full advantage and charge me extra? And on top of it I have to make the changes myself on my original booking and you still charge me. Exploitation 100%. Thanks but no thanks you need to give your head a shake and stop trying to make money on existing guests or at least help instead of saying no we charge and you have to do it yourself 😡 never again 💨
Poor service/food at Pride Park Travel Lodge ** DO NOT STAY HERE”
Stayed at the Travel Lodge on Friday the 1st of August 2025 on PRIDE PARK DERBY, with an organised group and a preset meal..
I cannot remember the last time I was given food to such a poor standard, burger was tasteless, cold, and its cob was dried out. The chips were also cold. What made matters worse was that staff weren’t interested in the slightest, ignored our concerns and walked away..
When you pay £120 a night
When you pay £120 a night, you expect a toilet door that closes (sharing with family member) you also don’t expect the hair wash to be so watered down you cannot get a lather and then a shower that drips instead of flowing to try and rinse off the horrible stuff! Not good at all M4 Cardiff!
We stayed in TravelLodge Bath Waterside…
We stayed in TravelLodge Bath Waterside for our daughter’s graduation. The room smelled of urine and was overlooked by cars that park up to window. A car had broken down, so we had people standing by our window looking in for nearly two hours. Had to shut curtains in the end as people staring straight in and it a boiling hot day so curtains being shut made it unbearable. Complained when home as rushing around and did not have time to find someone on reception. Travel lodge don’t care. Offered a breakfast if I stay with them again! Don’t stay there! Awful hotel!
OVER BOOKING ONLINE ACCOMMODATIONS-…
OVER BOOKING ONLINE ACCOMMODATIONS- (4/5 adults per room) BUILDING INSURANCE?? Having booked and paid in full for accommodation at travel lodge in Norwich city centre Was disappointed to be told that our room was sold to someone else who had checked in earlier than us and no other accommodation was available due to it being graduation week mid July 2025. Was even more surprised to learn from the night receptionists that they had also turned away at least 40 other guests on the 15/07/2025… Unbelievable

Came from hull for the horse racing (haydock), receptionist was fantastic, cheers Simon.
Clean room ,the rest was horrible
Clean room ,the rest was horrible. There's no air conditioning but there was a pidley little fan. There were people hanging around the hotel so I walk up the steps and had to use the disabled ramp. At 3am some kids were banging on windows, shouting and then ran away laughing. They repeated this an hour later. Couldn't close my window to drown out their noise. Staff not friendly. Worst nights sleep EVER. On a plus, the room was tidy
Room 409 do not book ( Cheshire Oaks)
Room 409 at Cheshire Oaks Travellodge smells of sewage the hotel was full so could not change rooms, we where given some air fresher which helped a bit.
The room was lovely and clean but very shabby not worth the extra money.
We have been in touch with customers services and so far three messages all saying the same thing they need more information ( what more can we give them , we sent photos and a summary of what happened) requested a call but that's not going to happen.
So in short do your self a favour and don't book a Travellodge .
Stay away from Travel Lodge
Stayed at Travel Lodge, Thame for 2 nights which was booked at saver rate some months ago. Our first time of using Travel Lodge, and our last.
Having since read several poor reviews I was concerned about what we would find, but couldn’t cancel our reservation under the saver T&C’s. We were quickly checked in and given a room key (room 25). The reception area and corridors seemed clean and fairly recently decorated, as did our room. Previous reviews mentioned damp and mold smells, but we didn’t find this was the case. The room seemed clean but the bathroom looked tired and some grubbiness around drain in the bath/shower. We also found the duvet cover and sheet had some small blood staining and looked like it had already been slept in. I spoke to the young lady on reception who arranged for the bedding to be changed.
On approach to the hotel during early afternoon, a large rat walked along the footpath in front of us and disappeared into shrubbery by the front door. Yikes!
Whilst in our room, a stranger used a swipe key and walked in. He had been allocated our room within hour of us checking in. Unfortunately later that evening we then found we couldn’t get into our room as his key had overriden ours. By this time the reception desk was unmanned, so we had great difficulty rousing someone to come and reprogram our key so we could get in.
As an aside, the room was extremely hot, with no air-con. There was a fan, which moved the warm air around but sleeping was difficult. Also, not even a hair dryer.
All in all, a dismal experience and we will not be using Travel Lodge again.
Blackpool South Shore.
Blackpool South Shore.
Stayed here a few months ago, couldn't fault it.
However Stayed here this weekend 12th July 2025, definitely gone down in my estimation.
Room, very roomy, clean.
Breakfast. Omg, full of screaming children, tables very dirty. Floor full of discarded food.
Parents apparently could not control their children.
Disgusting show of affection from a Asian father to his younger daughter ( my assumption they were related).
Will not be staying there again
On arrival room was cold
On arrival room was cold, bathroom door did not shut. Towels not replaced after use. Emailed travel lodge several times. They have not responded to one message.
Things growing in bath not cleaned properly in many months
Stayed in the Travelodge Newmarket Street, Cambridge on 9 July 2025. Paid over £170 for a family room. What a mistake!!! Arrived late after long drive, family all tired. All I can say when I entered the bathroom was that it resembled a lab where they grow things in dishes to see how they multiply, spread and what harm they cause - and that was just the bath!! I had to spend over an hour and a half cleaning the place (scrubbing it) no way it had been properly cleaned in many months!!!! The dirt was thick like years of build up. The limescale too was like a stalagmite!!! Don’t start me on the plug holes and overflows, I might be physically sick!!! Complained - here’s £45 for not having the room cleaned properly for arrival!!! ‘For arrival’ it hadn’t been cleaned properly for months and months, so all the poor people who had stated before me had had the same disgusting bathroom. So they want me to pay over £130 to stay in a hovel and catch something of interest to the science community, disgraceful!!
Bathroom not clean and empty yoghurt…
Bathroom not clean and empty yoghurt pot in room when checking in.
Turned up to travel lodge Gainsborough…
Turned up to travel lodge Gainsborough next to the kfc ,we checked in and we went up for a shower then went to kfc for food only to get a phone call from the hotel accusing us of having cannabis in our room and spoken to in a very rude way.
I offered the manager to come and I would have emptied all my belongings from my case but she abruptly declined and left us in the street with no other accommodation and said it will take 7to10days for a refund.
I even offered for them to bring the police to search my property but it was obvious that we never fit in with there Clientele so they made up a false accusation.
In all the lodges I have stayed in and never had a problem.
I would seriously not think of using another travel lodge as long as I live.
How embarrassing 🤬
LDN Stratford NO AIR CONDITIONING
Was put on the 9th floor in blazing heat, with no Air conditioning in, not just my roo, but any of the rooms. It was like a sweatbox. They had provided a fan which just swirled hot air around the room. I had zero minutes sleep and spent most of the night in the bar downstairs where it was cooler. Avoid in the summer at all costs
