Hi Luther First of all I would like to thank you for your excellent service and being very patient with the issues involving the payment of the deposit for our holiday booking, you must be a very patient man and very good at what you do.

Barry made the booking process seamlessly.
I was looking at potential holidays online and came across the Travel Center on Facebook. I previously inquired with them but was not satisfied how I was responded to the first time. However, this time, the travel consultant, Barry Kent, came across as polite, patient and professional. The one thing that set him apart from other travel consultants, he didn't make you feel pressured. It was a smooth flow of conversation and planning. He made you feel like you're listened to that makes you want to know more about the tour package being offered you. Barry inquired what travel plans I had in mind and set the ball rolling from there. He is very efficient and answered all my queries effortlessly. He was aware that I had other travel plans and offered a payment plan and even added an excursion for my birthday! Would I book with Travel Center again? Yes! Would I be happy to recommend their services? Absolutely!

Nightmare booking process
I started looking for a hol in sum 24 for travelling in sum 25 to Dubai Singapore and Bali. I decided at the time I would not proceed any further with the booking I received messages numerous times asking me if I would be going ahead with the booking.
In January 25 I saw an advert for the same holiday and decided that it I would look into it again for travelling in July 26 what a mistake.
I made an enquiry and received a swift response asking if they were able to help with my enquiry and when was the best time to call me I decided to go ahead with the booking. I felt bullied into making the booking but I thought that everything would be ok after this.There was my first mistake.
It was automatically assumed that I would be paying monthly payments until we went away I had not mentioned this at all however we did come to an agreement on when the payments would be made. I constantly received messages asking me when I would be making payments bearing in mind I was not travelling until 18 months later. I felt totally harassed and hounded by the advisor. When discussing payment the advisor said that he would need to speak to his manager to confirm that this was acceptable. Other times he would tell me that he would need to confirm with the travel company. This I found odd.
Unfortunately events occurred in Dubai which resulted in flights and holidays being cancelled at the time. Even though I was not travelling for a few months I thought I would contact the company to see what my options were. When contacting the company I was told that I had to deal with the person that I booked the holiday with as when bookings were made they were allocated to that individual to deal with.
I asked the advisor for a breakdown of the cost of the holiday and was told that this could not be given as a package holiday. I asked if it would be possible for me to remove Dubai from the holiday and either travel to Thailand instead or add the time that we would have spent in Dubai be added to additional time in Bali. I was told that for me to go to Thailand for 4 days would cost me £2000 per person and for me to extend Bali I would have to pay an additional £2000 also for 4 day and it would be in a different hotel. I questioned why it would cost so much as surely as I was no longer travelling to Dubai the cost of the hotel and the flight would be removed. I appreciate that instead of having an internal flight I would be have a flight from the uk. The hotel that was suggested in Bali was approximately £2000 each for four days but when I looked it booking it myself it was just over £1000 per person I was told to book it myself then.
I asked how much money I would lose if i cancelled the holiday I was told all of it. When I questioned this and said that it was understandable that I would lose the deposit but not all of it I was advised that this was in the terms and conditions. In total the holiday has cost in excess of £6000 which i am not willing to lose
I was told that I was travelling at peak time and it was expensive to travel then. I explained that the booking had been made at peak time and peak times did not change at different times of the year. The advisor constantly spoke over me and would not allow me to speak. On one occasion he said to me ‘I will tell you this once only’. Surely if I need to be told more than once that it what he should be doing. I asked to speak to his supervisor to be met with he was a ‘Senior Advisor’ and there was no one else I could speak to. He was extremely rude when he spoke to me and reluctantly agreed that he would get someone else to speak to me
I was contacted by another advisor who apologised and assured me that me would look into the concerns I had raised. I thought at last I am going to get somewhere but I was wrong
I emailed this advisor would it be possible to move the holiday to next year due to personal circumstances at the same time it would cost £687 each.
I sent a further email to this advisor asking for the booking to remain as it was at this time as I was still exploring my options I then sent another email asking if it was possible to move the holiday to a different location I never received a response to this email.
I received my e-tickets the other day and asked for information to be provided on transfers. I received a response from customer services advising that no transfers had been booked. These had been discussed when I made the booking with the first advisor. Thank god I checked otherwise we would have been stranded at the airport.
I am still waiting to hear about the transfers. My husband and I have had to deal with a lot stress over the last couple of years such as 3 death of immediate family and making necessary arrangements we thought that as we were approaching a sig anniversary we would celebrate.
The whole experience with this company has been one issue after another. To top that we haven’t even been yet. What else can go wrong

You mentioned that you felt pressured to proceed with the booking following your 2024 enquiry. However, our review of the correspondence does not support this. The communication was mutual, with you raising queries about the holiday and our agent responding accordingly. There was one routine follow-up message after a period of no response, which was not intended as pressure to book.
You also stated that you felt bullied into making the reservation. Having reviewed the call recordings, we have not identified any evidence of bullying or undue pressure. The booking was discussed professionally, with full details of the itinerary provided before you confirmed your agreement to proceed.
In relation to payments, our records show you queried the payment schedule during the booking process, including asking, “What payment is due, and when?”. The payment plan was clearly outlined in your quotation and again during the booking recap, which you acknowledged and accepted. One instalment due in August 2025 was paid late; however, following standard follow-up contact after the due date, and at your request, we agreed a short extension as a gesture of goodwill. At no point was any pressure applied to make payment.
Regarding fare differences, both Liam and Adam explained how amendment costs are calculated. As your booking was made in January 2025, any changes made significantly later would be subject to current airline availability and pricing. This includes potential amendments such as removing elements of the itinerary or introducing alternative destinations such as Thailand. Typically, amendments can only be made where permitted by the airline or supplier and are subject to applicable costs, fare differences, and availability at the time of the request.
Your booking was confirmed as non-refundable and non-changeable in line with the Terms and Conditions, which were provided and accepted at the time of booking and reiterated during your recap call on 27 January 2025. As your travel was not affected by the Middle East disruption, any cancellation or amendment would be considered voluntary and subject to the applicable booking conditions, including potential cancellation charges up to the full value of the booking.
With regard to your comments about Liam’s conduct, we recognise that the conversation became more challenging towards the end of your discussions. While Liam became more firm in response to ongoing dissatisfaction being expressed, we are satisfied that he initially dealt with your concerns professionally. The comment referenced has been reviewed in context and relates to him attempting to explain the matter clearly one final time before offering escalation to another colleague.
Regarding airport transfers, your booking confirmation clearly shows these were not included, and they were not requested or discussed at the time of booking. Following your later enquiry, a quotation was provided, however no further response was received. Customers are responsible for reviewing their booking confirmation to ensure all components are correct prior to travel.
While we have not identified evidence to agree with the concerns raised, we have not upheld the concerns raised in your review, we are sorry that you remain dissatisfied with your experience. We have reviewed this matter internally to ensure continued service improvement and to prevent any potential misunderstandings going forward.
The Complaints Department has also contacted you separately regarding the concerns you have raised. Should you have any further questions or wish to discuss the matter further, you are welcome to continue corresponding with them directly.

A fantastic travel agent
What can I say but thank you. This is my second time of booking a multi centre trip with this company. My go to person is the calm and outstanding agent called Michelle. Nothing is too much for her to do. Our trip to Dubai, Bali and Singapore last year was fantastic and seamless. Even when one of the inner flights was a bit problematic it was sorted out before we left. Michelle,thanks for being a professional and a knowledgeable agent. Thanks for your patience and reassuring attitude during the booking process. I look forward to my next trip. Keep up the good work and sorry it's taken me a while to pen this review.
