Our crew of passionate safari experts have lived and worked in Africa for most of their lives. Travel in Africa is about knowing what, when and where to go and with whom – for the ultimate safari experience. A few weeks too early/late or a few kilometres off course, and you could miss the Greatest Show on Earth. And wouldn’t that be a pity? We also publish inspirational, factual conservation articles. We believe storytelling plays a pivotal role in education and in creating a more responsible future of travel within the conservation landscape. We seek to minimise the negative environmental and social impacts of travel while maximising its positive impacts. These articles keep our readers informed and inspired to join us in celebrating Africa and doing good. Over sixteen million people in the last decade have read our stories that reflect the complexity and reality of life at ground level here in Africa. And, we generate significant donations for selected conservation projects that deliver impact at the ground level. We choose each project carefully based on our assessment of its contribution to biodiversity and rural people living amongst wildlife.

We completely agree with Jane Allin’s comments, the friend that we traveled with and who suggested this trip to us. It was the first of its kind in our experience and exceeded our expectations in every way. Peter especially enjoyed the extraordinary opportunities to photograph such wonderful sights. Rosemary learnt a great deal about the nature and wildlife of the areas visited and appreciated the expertise of the guides who attended upon us. Christian arranged the trip in the perfect order, with the exciting mobile camping safari for the first nine days, followed up by a more luxurious experience in the Lodges. With many thanks Peter and Rosemary.

Our trip to Zambia Lower Zambesi Parc and Southern Luangwa Valley and Victoria Falls was unforgettable.Never seen so much game in 9 days.Sausage Tree Camp and Lions Camp were superb.Lunch in the Zambesi at Sausage Tree Camp and in the Bush at Lions Camp were unforgettable.Victoria Falls Hotel remains one of my favourite hotels in the world.Christian,as usual, organised the trip and all worked excellently. It must have been about the fifth or sixth trip organised by Christian for us.

The experience we had from the beginning to end exceeded our expectations. Christian knew all that was needed to ensure our seamless travel and it was surely an awesome experience. The staff at Sentinel was very friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable except finer details in the rooms like checking that glasses used are replaced with clean ones or washed to be used again
Meals with chef Joshua was something we always looked forward to. Peter, the manager , was exceptional. I will definitely recommend you to my friends and family.
One thing that I did not understand is the staff that is 100% male. This we noticed by finer details of housekeeping that were not taken care of throughout.

Our second trip with Africa Geographic to Samburu and Amboseli in Kenya was well organised by Christian, as was our first trip to Masaai Mara. Our Safari-link flights all went smoothly and our accommodation excellent. The Surana Buffalo Springs lodge at Samburu has a beautiful setting overlooking the Ewaso and Isiolo river confluence with units having their own plunge pools for cooling off in the heat. Staff very friendly, food great and our guide Mick excellent - especially his knowledge with the unfamiliar wild life at Samburu. The Ol Tukai lodge is within the Amboseli National Park with a view of Kilimanjaro, more busy than Samburu, but staff once again friendly and buffet meals good. Our guide Isaac very knowledgeable and gave us an excellent overview of the variety of game and diverse landscape of the area. We would certainly use Africa Geographic again.

Working with Christian and his Africa Geo team, we had planned out a two week mobile safari in Botswana's Moremi, Khwai, Savuti and Chobe Riverfront. We were very happy with the experience, and most especially our guide, Moagi Robson and his team. On previous trips (not through Africa Geo) we've had both wonderful, and not so wonderful guides. Robson was one of the best trackers we've met, to the extent that other guides shadowed us as he tracked leopards, lions and wild dogs. We couldn't imagine returning to Botswana without Robson as our guide.
The accommodations were comfortable, the meals were great (too much food for two people) but it was the team (Robson, Mike, Aaron, Steve and Philip) that really made the trip special.
I should also mention that we had initially reached out to a couple of other operators for this trip and their quotes were eye wateringly high. Happy that we found Christian who worked within our budget while also delivering exactly what we were looking for. Excellent value for money.
Many thanks again to Christian and Africa Geo, we are already planning out the bones of a next adventure we want to work with them on.

First, I have to admit that I have never been to Africa, nor have I been on a Safari. Christen was the first person that I worked with in setting up the Safari. I cannot express my sincere appreciation for all the work he did for me.He scheduled my reservations at the hotel, the flight reservations on air link to the reserve as well as clearly explaining all my questions concerning the art safari with Allison Nichols.
I was so surprised at the accommodations at the lodge, the food was outstanding, the service was great, and the tour of the animals just got better day after day.
Both Gideon and Eric (guide and tracker) were very knowledgeable and friendly. There was no time during the trip that I felt uneasy being out amongst the animals. (even when I dropped my phone and Eric had to retrieve it.)
Alison , our art instructor, was great in demonstrating how to do watercolors, and also and sketching the animals while we were out on tour.
I would highly recommend any safari that was put together with Africa geographical and/or Alison Nicholas.

The ladies I met, were really really nice. Villiers is amazing and I met Carl.. what an awesome and knowledgeable young man.... Then all your staff working on site, were absolutely marvelous. Nothing was too much trouble. We had 2 ladies who were gluten intolerant and they were served such good meals... no problem at all. My first time on a walking safari... very different... My only complaint was the heat and the flies.. I really struggled with that... but that of course, was not anybody's fault. Our flights in the little "mosquito" plane was a first for me too. All our pick ups and drop offs went smoothly. If you are an animal enthusiast, do try this safari. If you need advice about your camera, Villiers will sort all your problems out. Highly recommended.

Our trip to South Africa, Botswana and Victoria Falls truly exceeded our expectations. Christian diligently worked with us to put together a great itinerary for our first trip to Africa. We appreciated Christian's availability and follow up. We certainly recommend Africa Geographic for a great African experience.

Africa Travel has an awesome team. The booking and follow-through all went smoothly. The two guides Villiers Steyn and Carl Nicholson worked together seamlessly as did the four ladies on the safari. Accommodation was what I wanted - a true bush experience. I rate this as one of my best photographic safari group experiences.

From the very beginning with planning and execution this trip has exceeded expectations. Christian spent time with us working out an itinerary and was prompt in responding to our questions and honoring our requests.
The trip was awesome and very smooth

The Mukambi and Fig Tree lodges provided just the experience I wanted - opportunities to walk in the miombo woodlands and get to know the trees as well as the animals. Our guide Chanda Mutenga was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful

Chitake Springs with Africa Geographic - just back from a truly memorable few days. Our Bush Camp, perfectly situated (and really well managed), pitched under the largest Sausage tree imaginable, bordered the sandy ‘highway” river bed that led up to the Chitake Spring. Elephants, leopards, hyaena, antelope, baboons all used this route, and sometimes a few of the 21 local lions took advantage of this to lie on the cliff edge along that route, sizing up their potential - and hopefully not human - prey! Every day was eventful, and walking through the Bush with the expert guidance of Carl, our Expedition Manager, was fascinating- and always safely managed. Fortunate to have both the photographic -and Bushveld - expertise of Villiers as well. Fascinating and fun, every day!

Being seasoned travellers, this was our first trip with Africa Geographic. Everything was well organised with lots of information beforehand. There were no problems with transfers and handling of luggage etc. The lodges were stunning with great food and service. 2 vehicles were supplied for our photographic requirements, which was great. The photographic opportunities were wonderful with a relaxed atmosphere and stimulating conversation. The morning session in the hide were exceptional. One of the highlights of the week was when the CEO of Africa Geographic organised to watch the rugby on his laptop. All in all it was a fantastic experience and I will gladly recommend this company to anybody that wishes to travel in Africa.

Booking a safari holiday to the Maasai Mara through Africa Geographic was an absolute game-changer for my travel experience. From start to finish, their service exceeded all expectations, and I can't praise them enough for helping me create memories that will last a lifetime.
What truly sets Africa Geographic apart is their dedication to creating personalized itineraries. They took the time to understand my preferences and interests, ensuring that every aspect of the safari catered to my desires. Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast, a photography enthusiast, or a cultural explorer, they can design an itinerary that perfectly suits your needs. a massive thank you to Christian Boix for making our bucket list holiday come true!

We spent 6 nights in this tented, unfenced camp on the banks overlooking the Mara River. The game was plentiful even in the very close vicinity of riverine forest, marsh and rolling plains. It was an authentic Out of Africa experience with real Askari, Masai warriors, escorting you after dusk. The Masai are amazing people, welcoming and jovial, and brilliant trackers and guides on drives. They danced and sang around the fire after dark for us, with the hippos bellowing. We loved the beautiful 3 course meals in the open dining tent and often under the stars, surrounded by lanterns on the forest paths. The owner and all the staff were gracious and relaxing and went out of their way to make our experience very special, a time to remember forever.

Planning was good. Itinerary was meticulously crafted.
We went to Manyeleti in South
Africa for a Photography safari. The overall experience was good. But, I feel that at least in the last few weeks, Africa Geographic company must allow for direct communication with the lodge as it will help sort out some issues one to one directly. In our case there was a mis communication regarding the amount of beans needed to fill our Bean bags for support of our lenses and a misinterpretation of dietary requirements. Though it did not had much effect on the tour and was sorted out with the camp manager, but this is one thing which could have been prevented had we been given chance to directly communicate with the camp manager.
But overall a great experience and certainly worth planning safari with Africa Geographic.

Christian organized a spectacular trip for myself, my husband, and our two teenage girls to South Africa on very short notice at a busy time of year. We already had made a commitment to a volunteer organization and so we wanted to build in a trip to Cape Town and some safari days around specific dates. He did an amazing job of figuring out the best options for us within those specific parameters, that I believe were even fairly cost conscious. He was patient when we needed to make adjustments. In addition, he was extremely helpful when our flight from the US was cancelled and we found we would be arriving a day and a half later than expected. He rearranged our days and rebooked our internal flights and managed to fit in almost all of the activities we had originally planned while minimizing our stress.
He found safari lodges for us that were just the perfect vibe for our group with an extremely knowledgeable guide who found us some unbelievable wildlife moments- while being both respectful of the animals and also thoughtful about the best photographic angles and predicting where the animals would want to move and how best to situate our vehicle to observe without interfering. In one safari lodge, we spent an afternoon by ourselves in a treehouse where we were extremely lucky to observe more than 30 elephants coming to drink at the waterhole just below our perch. We managed to see leopards and wild dogs and even hyenas fighting over a dead buffalo after dark and a lion kill as well. An absolutely unforgettable experience. We will be back!

My wife, myself and our 18 year daughter recently traveled to the greater Kruger area and to Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe on a trip we booked through Africa Geographic. We had a wonderful experience. In South Africa we stayed for six nights at a small unfenced bush camp, Pungwe. The wildlife sightings particularly lions, were excellent. In Zimbabwe we camped for five nights in Gonarezhou and spent two nights at the beautiful Chilo Lodge on the outskirts of the park. While in Gonarezhou we were fortunate enough to have multiple wild dog sightings, including a number of intimate encounters where we were able to observe pack behavior at close range for extended periods of time. Plains game and elephant sightings were plentiful as well.
Africa Geographic was able to tailor our trip to what we wanted, a small unpretentious bush camp in the greater Kruger, where wildlife sightings are perhaps easier to come by, coupled with the wilderness experience of the far more remote Gonarezhou. Africa Geographic succeeded on all accounts. Our week in Gonarezhou was essentially our own private expedition into the park. Due to the logistics of the trip, its success was dependent on the smooth functioning of multiple transfers, both vehicle and plane. The trip was very well organized and all transfers took place without a hitch. We look forward to planning another trip with Africa Geographic as soon as time and financial conditions allow.

There are a lot of choices to make in planning a safari. Africa Geographic put together a trip for me that gave me the experience I was looking for in a way that I would not have been able to do on my own. I’ve been dreaming about this trip for years, and the reality was even better than I could imagine. The agent we worked with was absolutely wonderful! She understood what I was looking for, was very responsive with excellent information and answers to our many questions, and all her suggestions for the trip hit the mark perfectly. Africa Geographic tailored the trip specifically to what I was looking for—every component of the trip was thoughtful and demonstrated their knowledge of the services and experiences available. They were very helpful in arranging all the details; I’ve never felt more taken care of than on this trip. Don’t mess around trying to figure this out on your own—work with Africa Geographic to create your perfect trip.
