6a going from city centre to Forestside…
6a going from city centre to Forestside has been late all week. I get it on the Cregagh Road, meant to come at about 8.48am, hasn't showed up, then guess what 2 buses have been coming together at 9 am. Never on time absolutely useless.
Unusable website with bugs
Unusable website that changed selected seat without warning. When phoned to request to change seat, it was all too difficult for them to be able to rectify.
Had hospital appointment and went to…
Had hospital appointment and went to Train station. Told by staff member the next train to Belfast IS CANCELLED? WHY, he shrugged his shoulders. Absolutely incompetent bunch. Exactly the same as Stormont. USELESS!
Has to be the worse public transport
Has to be the worse public transport. Never on time, always a bs excuse any how they meet 95% + of times (funny I must be in every late bus then)
Disgusting service. Go back to Canada and leave local transport to locals
Lovely journey
Have not traveled on translink for 20 years and a had a lovely experience. Bus arrived promptly, bitter cold morning and bus was warm and pleasant. On arriving in Belfast great to see the new terminal equipped with Starbucks, M&S food and Pret. A far cry from my journeys when I commuted to Queens.
Fedup
First of all I would like to know do Translink officials actually read these reviews or care about the service that’s being provided?..My main problem with Translink is the summer season when I am travelling quite a lot from Portadown to Larne. I dread it coming round to that time again. The teenagers travelling to and from these concerts really have no regard for other passengers.Shouting, alcohol brought on board(regular occurrence)Swearing and dreadful language.Conductors ignore it .WHY DO I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS ?when all I want is a peaceful journey!!!IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR TRANSLINK.PLEASE PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Antrim Station staff should be ashamed
1. Over 150 train passengers were left stranded at Antrim station due to train cancellations on the Derry-Belfast line on Friday 20th March. Translink staff closed the station to the public (while staff remained inside) and passengers had to wait over 2 hours for replacement buses without any access to toilet facilities. A passenger only recently discharged from hospital who was desperate for the toilet and did not want to have to go in public asked a member of Translink staff if they could help in any way, the staff member refused access to Translink facilities and told him: ‘This is not my problem, it’s your problem.’
2. How is it that all those waiting in a bus station for alternative transport to Belfast yesterday had to wait 2 hours for private coaches to come when we could all see dozens of buses parked up only yards away and others arriving empty and parking up? What is the issue at Translink that no driver was willing or able to help the scores of people waiting and take a couple of those buses, fill them with passengers and head off to Belfast?
3. While we were waiting for over 2 hours for transport to come, how come not one member of Translink staff at Antrim station could be bothered to come out and keep people informed of what was happening or help in any way to organise the free-for-all that ensued every time the 218 arrived or one of the private coaches appeared? We could see them inside looking out: what were they doing?
Old, unreliable and cold…
I use the 300 service between the international airport at Aldergrove and the city centre. On two recent occasion the bus has broken down and had to stop on the hard shoulder of the motorway for u to wait for a replacement. All of this fleet of buses used are old, most of the power outlets don’t work and this morning the bus had no information screen and no heating. Overall a poor service.
Buses are rarely on time
Buses are rarely on time. Today alone, two buses simply didn’t arrive, which made me late for work. Quite often the bus will just disappear from the information screen at the bus stop for no apparent reason, leaving passengers waiting with no explanation.
Meanwhile, fares seem to increase every year, yet the service quality doesn’t improve. With drivers demanding higher wages and passengers paying more, you would expect a reliable service — but that is not what we’re getting.
Translink has no competition, why bother being reliable?
This is the only Transport system in Belfast, and the reason why it's useless, with no competition in NI.
Buses appear in three or just don't bother turning up, let's face it when there's no competition, why bother with a timetable that doesn't work???
St Patrick Day,bus services will be shambles, the Taxi Service here is also bad... overpriced, slow and never one around when you need one.
So your stuck with useless TransLink....again..
They have double charged me 3 times…
They have double charged me 3 times this year. Once because the bus machine took payment once, said error and yet charged me and bus driver said "sorry I need a ticket" next time I used the app and it said "error you will not be charged" yet I was. Complained and showed the driver and once again was told "don't use the app then! We only take tickets."
Kindly Feck off you rude robbers give me my £40 pound back
Dreadful
Takes a lot of effort to make Bus Eireann look reliable and competent, but somehow Translink so is bloody terrible, they accomplish it. Bravo!
If i could i would give zero stars
If i could i would give zero stars I would. Once again I am ranting about this wonderful service that we get to use here in the north of Ireland. Friendly drivers with smiles on their faces welcoming the passengers with a cheeking grin. Always providing the best service, well we live to dream. Just woken up from this dream for the usual nightmare, something I know will never know and would love to ask th drivers is, do they get pleasure from driving away just as up get to the door. The only word for them is As**oles. End the monopoly.
Searched tickets for a specific date
Searched tickets for a specific date, bought said tickets for that date, printed the tickets and left. Went back the next day, and they said tickets were only for the date printed. Why ask for the travel date to begin with?' Up the _ _.
I would like to say that translink has… AWFUL drivers.
I would like to say that translink has terrible customer service because the stupid bus driver charged me an adult ticket which is 3.50 when im CLEARLYY a child and he was being a cheeky wee rat about it.
They took away a crucial bus service.
I used to be able to get from Belfast to Kilkeel almost every 2 hours via Newcastle. This has since been heavily redirected to the Enterprise via Newry train station which is massively overcrowded and costs more... I'm undergoing cancer treatment at Belfast City Hospital and am too weak to drive on the best of days.
Would give it zero if I could
Would give it zero if I could. Currently sitting somewhere between Antrim and Mosley west. Train already 30 mins late and we are being told nothing except there is a delay. Unexplained delays are a regular occurrence. Any correspondence with Translink goes unanswered. Always.
I travelled on the 10am X1 service to…
I travelled on the 10am X1 service to Dublin Airport this morning. Everything went smoothly and we left and arrived on schedule. I don't know the drivers name but I particularly want to commend him. He had a word to say to everybody on board and was good humoured and positive. Discovering that we were flying to Seville he even took time to give us some useful tips. Top class!
Unaccaple Service
Translink's awkward schedules and routes are further compounded by the incompetence of the average Translink driver and their ability to consistently be late by upwards of 10 minutes.
