ChopBox - disaster
SCAMMERS
I ordered a chopbox in 2020 for which I paid nearly £100. It was advertised in The Week magazine.
I have never received the chopbox or a refund, despite emailing regularly.

It takes them too long to respond, making it look nonprofessional. However, the product was delivered and the quality was ok.
The Yes engages in unprofessional, unacceptable, and potentially unlawful business practices inclusive of substandard customer service, failure to communicate with consumers regarding product / order inquiries, and charging customers in advance for unavailable items. Additionally, there appears to be an ongoing pattern of numerous disconcerting consumer complaints submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Sadly, customers are at an increased risk of a problematic transaction due to The Yes' reprehensible business practices. Consumers that are victim to unscrupulous merchant actions can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and/or initiate a chargeback with their credit card company. B-E-W-A-R-E!
No customer service - at all! No one responds via email or the number to text. I have yet to receive my order and pretty sure I’ll never get it. Stay away from this place!
I was a super early bird backer, and still never received any update about my order specifically.
My main issue is not that they haven't fulfilled their responsibility and delivered a product after TWO years (but that is definitely an issue).
It's that their communication is abominable. They have vague updates, show a truck filled with boxes and that's it.
They won't allow refunds, but say they've paid bonuses to their workers.
They ask for MORE money for shipping to get a box earlier - when EVERY other company I've bought with has kept the same shipping schedules and prices from overseas.
They say they have no money, yet claim they've hired more workers (for what? they don't actually manufacture the product, they say) AND paid them bonuses.
They claim everything is out of their control, but won't accept their own responsibility, and won't help their customers out one bit, even with a video update or something to show us that they're trying to fix things.
I am Backer 1537!!!
This is Just scam! Don’t buy anything from them. I paid for 3 chopboxes and never received them. I contacted them several time to ask for an update and they responded, that they require additional money ($90) to send me my products. I was one of the earliest buyer in indiegogo and no one will ever receive the chopbox, cause they Just don’t exist.
One year later after Kickstarter promised release, still nothing and now they ask us to pay an additionnal $30 while our initial $119 is kept hostage. They are selling the same product on their webpage for $70 less than what they said the retail value of their product would be (which is against Kickstarter rules btw).
I bought throug Kickstarter this product and one year later... still haven’t received the chopbox product... and now they ask 30$ more to ship the product !!! What a joke!!! Don’t buy it !
The Yes Company is known for selling the product Chopbox as a project through Kickstarter. More than a year after the promised release they have asked for additional shipping money, doubling the cost while selling their product on their own website. It seems highly probable that there is no product whatsoever and orders will never be fulfilled.
