Don’t waste your time

I had an appointment for the first and had to cancel due to work. Called two days before and was still charged a cancellation fee of $100, even though they said they wouldn’t charge me. I called and they tried to lie and say that the doctor canceled the appointment because I was late to the appointment. I will never schedule an appointment and i recommend that you don’t either.

Do not use these people

Do not use these people i had appt with them the morning of my appt they was a wreck that took the power in my area plus WiFi so I could not do video calls i called them immediately well I get a $100 bill from them saying my excuse wasn’t good enough more or less but what the heck was I supposed to do. I went to them cause we have little to no help here for mental health I needed someone but all they did was put a financial strain on me when I’m on disability that has a small budget for food as it is now they are wanting my month foods budget I been so upset I’m glad to know they aren’t about what’s best for someone isn’t there well being it’s the greed they are in it for so don’t use them
They obviously do not care about people I did what I thought was right by telling them but they want to ruin my credit I could pay like 5 or 10 a month but that was not good enough for them
They would not settle for that so if you got money to give away then go for it but I’m not willing to give my all to people who only see me and money bags they don’t care about our mental health I can vouch for that or they would
Know what toll it takes on our mental health to me extorted for money I don’t owe if that’s Not a excuse then what is how can i know two days before that this would happen they are working under unrealistic goals I plan on warning as many people as I can to beware for this site they will take you for a ride when you didn’t buy a ticket .

Run away

When you are dealing with persons that are struggling with mental health, maybe don't start a company that has providers that constantly cancel your appointment or leave the company. The concerns I initially had with this kind of service were spot on. There is no patient/doctor relationship. You have a relationship with a company that doesn't care about you and a provider that is not really dedicated to the job for whatever reason. Goodbye forever Talkiatry. It was truly an exercise in futility trying to use your company

It’s a scam

Despite making sure my insurance was accepted, I’m now in debt over $800 for 90 min of service. It’s gotta be the easiest $ they ever made. I truly feel like I was scammed. My mental health is in way worse shape after trying Talkiatry.

Complete scam that doesn't let you cancel

I started to go through the process, but I found out my Healthcare provider offers counseling so I cancelled. They I received a confirmation from Talkiatry so I tried to cancel online but it would just freeze. Then I tried calling to cancel and no one ever answered. Now, they're threatening with lawsuits over $100 after I REPEATEDLY tried to cancel to no avail.

They really are a scam.

Essentially a scam

I have had problem after problem with Talkiatry, from appointment issues on their end, to being prescribed medication that then got refused by the pharmacist because it conflicted heavily with my current medication, to trying to get me to pay $200+ claiming my insurance didn't cover an aspect of my visit while my insurance very clearly did cover it almost entirely... I never even received any proper treatment from them because every time we tried something, there would be another problem. I eventually gave up and forgot about talkiatry until my $200+ bill came in that I knew should have been covered and then confirmed that it was, and this company is trying to make ME do all the work with fixing it when it's completely on them.

Tried giving a 1 star but you can’t…

Tried giving a 1 star but you can’t write or post unless it’s a 2 which also virtually takes away both stars. $700 for first visit. The guy didn’t even have ADHD experience…go talk to a bum on the street they don’t ask for as much money…I just need someone to give me my scripts at this point…Cigna wasn’t taken by my old dr but his was $250 a session…also not great but at least it’s not $700 and being a company that takes my insurance

They are not transparent and poor communication.

They are not transparent about what they do and don’t treat. They wait until after you pay for a new patient appointment and waste your time completing your appointment before they tell you that they can’t treat you, even though the stated reasons for not being able to treat you are covered during intake form. The intake form could have stated they don’t treat based on these answers, the provider could have started call with sharing this information based on intake form. But no, I wasted $250 and an hour of my time to be left with 0 help. Ridiculous bait and switch.

Horrible

Horrible. Had to be switched around monthly to different providers that not only had not one thing in common with me ( age, gender etc.. ) but when it came to actual appointment day they constantly had issues and cancelled appointments no matter how often I tried to contact before hand to prevent. NOT ONLY NEVER GOT CARE BUT WAS UPSET AND STRESSED OUT WORSE.

I was charged 300 for a 2 minute call

I was charged 300 for a 2 minute phone call that the psychiatrist was late to and didn't even attempt to help me. The second I said I had ADHD I was told can't help you BYE. I asked for a referral and they sent me a link to suicide hotlines. Absolutely no help. Do not use if you are going to tell them you have ADHD.

Major technical difficulties -- Do not use this service

Showed up on time for appointment, sat in virtual waiting room for 15 minutes then received text that said I wasn't there, called back and went through menu to get to a rep who told me to log off, then sent me a link to cell to fill out all questionnaires again, then received email that provider had cancelled appointment. This is incredibly callous and uncaring to patients trying to get treatment.

Would give 0 stars if possible

Would give 0 stars if possible. They upcharge you and then are impossible to contact. They won’t solve your problems. It is stated that it is “only 30 dollars”, but I was charged $700, they use CPT codes that don't reflect the care you were given. Don't use Talkiatry, it is a mistake.

Dr's don't understand patients

Dr's don't understand patients. Let them tell a whole life story then decide they don't wanna help you. I tried a woman dr in fear of this and the woman was the first to dismiss... horrible Dr's.

Extremely high cost

I had a virtual appointment and after letting me talk about all of my trauma for the entire appointment, at the end of the session, the therapist tells me she would not be able to help me and I would have to see someone else in person. That's fine. I then received a bill for over $400, they had billed my insurance nearly $700. That's an obscene amount to charge. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, I would actively tell people not to use it.

DO NOT GO here

DO NOT GO here. Their doctors quit/get fired all the time. I was trying to change doctors for 1.5 months. Not I'm stuck without a doctor and a medication that needs to be refilled. The side effects of not having a refill include potential death.

five minutes talk and hung up

five minutes into virtual visit we agreed it was a mis-match and hung up (Jan 8,2026).
Now they are billing me for $263.79 . Surprise.
I have gone over this with them and insist their version is correct. I am 82 years old. I have had many therapists good and bad. Talkiatry is the worst.
