Ordered a 6 yard skip, only to be told 2 days later that they didn't any available and won't for the foreseeable future,a bit weird for a skip company.

Used what can only be described as hard sell/ bullying tactics on my sister who clearly has learning disabilities. When she said she would need to speak to her mum for advice the sales assistant became aggressive & pushy to the extent my sister felt backed in to a corner & parted with £250 which she cannot afford. When we got back in touch to discuss this we were told this a sales environment and this is how we operate. This does not match the great service they advertise on their website!! Very disappointed

Trades people be aware they do not deliver when they have agreed, when you phone them they keep telling you someone will call you back and they never do.
Had to start proceedings through my bank to recover the money.

Please please stay away!!!

In comparison to most other skip hire companies this was the cheaper alternative with a longer hire as some were for keeps at 7 days but over £300 pounds, so for 2 weeks cost £216.47 for a 4yd skip in my postal area of IP14 was good personally.
There were some teething problem, where I booked for a delivery on a Tuesday but no skip were available so was to arrive on Friday but had to decline delivery from Kent skip company which was the other broker as the skip was your typical dump size skip. Waited a further 3 days & was able to fill the skip within 2hrs unaware it would take as quick as that for the load I had. Rang the company up to arrange pick up which was collected Wednesday- So in all yes cheaper skip but expensive for the time I had it.
Definitely think next time I'd do my research to ensure time / cost effective however it did the job I needed so cannot complain to much.

I am using them from last few months, they are economical, clean and professional. Highly recommend their services.it was a great pleasure to work with them.

Price listed wasnt the price to hire the ship asked for additional money

Terrible booked skip was then emailed to say the price on website was wrong and needed to pay more if I wanted the skip was also not available on day I booked was offered a refund which I still haven’t received over a week later and they are ignoring my emails

Skip arrived when they said it would.
It did take a few days to get it collected, but that was communicated to me.
Got 3 prices to compare, these came in lowest.
Would use again :-)

Scheduled date skip did not turn up. Rescheduled date skip did not turn up. Awaiting on 3rd date now

Very disappointed. My skip never turned up. When I chased, I was advised I would receive a call back. 3 days later and 3 additional calls. I got a call. They advised they emailed advising the cost on the website I paid was incorrect, and that they emailed me regarding this. On checking no email was sent. They advised they presumed I didn't want the skip. But never called or refunded my money. When I questioned this, they avoided the question and never apologised. So was than advised if I wanted the skip they wanted more money. But couldn't delivery the skip until another 4 days later. I refused and asked for a refund at this stage. Still no apology and they seemed not to care either way. Very poor very poor indeed

Took my order and money then realised they don’t deliver to my area. I did get a full refund.

Can’t get hold of anyone. Skip was due 2 days after order. No skip. After finally get hold of someone order not even on system. They are being sold. Advise don’t touch until sale finished as I just want my money back now but can’t speak to anyone and they don’t answer emails.

Quoted £207 for a 4 yard skip - took payment then contacted us saying that there was a mistake on the website and they needed £33 + vat extra or they cant fulfill the order.

Wasters in every sense!

I booked a skip on line paid the price shown on their website only to be told I need to pay more as the website price is wrong. Trying to contact them was almost impossible as they do not pick up the phone. And do not reply to emails I wouldn't recommend stevensons skip hire.

On the day of the skip we called to find out what time the skip was being delivered. I had a call to say that they had looked on ‘Google maps’ and said they couldn’t deliver as it was too tight and cars were parked there. On the day of delivery there were no parked cars and was easily accessible. Without asking a refund was already being processed
