My first dentist appointment for a while, I needed advice for a complex job and they were so helpful, kind and I didn’t feel uncomfortable!! - Will be returning for all treatments (I was very nervous about dentist appointments before this)

The dentist is always so lovely to my two sons. She always has a little chat with them about there day before checking there teeth, always explains in a simple way for them to understand what she’s doing / what my sons needs to do. She makes a sometimes nerve racking experience for the boys so much calmer with her kindness throughout the whole check up. :)

Southcliff dental has turned a corner! Excellent customer service this week , dentist was excellent too. Kind, explained the treatment needed and fitted me back in on a Sunday to sort. Recommend!

I saw Manisha for a hygienist appt and I can honestly say she was the most thorough hygienist I have had the pleasure to meet. She spent a long time scraping and doing an excellent job of removing plaque before polishing my teeth. I came out feeling extremely clean and delighted. Absolutely first class!

What a helpful lady on reception st Battle Road. So understanding, dealt with my nerves and fears and reassured me I would be well looked after

Reception staff are helpful and friendly-dental therapists knowledgeable and caring at Steyning branch. Hygienist Shen does an exceptional job of cleaning and caring for teeth.

Very efficient with bookings & timings, very little wait time & the communication is great. The text reminders about upcoming appointments are very handy. Always parking spaces nearby as well.

I’m not complaining about the practice in Marlborough. They are polite, always on time and the dentist is excellent.

(Aside: I got into this group after losing my nhs dentist during covid, when unable to attend they chucked me off their list for not turning up after 6 months. It took 4 years to find a practice that would accept me.)

My appointments take take 5 mins for a cursory, but professional, check and to ask if I have any problems. The an appointment is booked 6 months ahead.

So basically I pay £55 a year to be an nhs patient.

This time however, they got me to sign a form saying I agreed to no longer be an nhs patient and became an “independent” patient. They “guaranteed” to offer equivalent service at equivalent prices to the nhs. Ok.

It turns out that there is no limit to the number of nhs patients a practice can hold on their books, but the nhs will only fund the practice for a contracted number of “Units of Dental Activity”. ie actually seeing somebody.

It seems my practice has used most of these, but is prepared to keep me on at the same rate. (ie I pay them rather than nhs).

That is remarkable and very laudable. So this practice is honest, trustworthy and actually interested in delivering good value dental treatment.

The dental practice does NOT answer the phone. I had an appointment for my young child this morning, they opened the door at 8.41am despite our appointment being at 8.30am. No one attended to us and when I asked about a form a member of staff waved at one and walked away. The practice was completely full and the phone ringing off the hook but no staff came to reception despite three being there later. One member of staff discreetly took a photo of us all in the waiting room, he looked surprised that we were all there and there were no other staff around. It was at this point I walked out and have registered my child elsewhere. DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE if you value customer service, or your time.

I have been looked after by Ameer at St Leonard's. He is friendly whilst remaining professional and always puts me at ease. This is a very busy practice, despite this the reception team always make feel welcome. Would recommend
