Very poor experience with them
Very poor experience with them, leaving me to question their honesty, integrity and business practice. Saw a great price for flights to Thailand with Thai Airways and so booked 5 tickets, and received a confirmation of booking email, with payment (£3000+) taken from credit card.
The next day I received a phone call telling me the tickets did not come with checked baggage (which is fair enough, as the price was very good and the icon during the booking process said 1PC baggage but didn’t specify whether carry on or checked).
We have flown Thai Airways many times as we have family in Thailand, and are familiar with their ticketing in that they always include 23kg baggage with international tickets. In spite of this, the agent insisted they didn’t, and wanted us to pay £400 more per ticket for the checked baggage, telling us that as it was a special ticket we couldn’t book extra baggage with the airline directly.
I received a second phone call from the “sales team” (even though both number and voice on the other end were identical to first person I’d spoken to), saying I couldn’t refund the tickets (even though he said they hadn’t actually been booked yet with the airline) and that I would need to pay the extra baggage charge.
I simply refused and said that we were happy to go with 5 tickets at the paid price, with only carry on baggage, as we have family in Thailand and thus travelling light is not an issue for us.
The agent refused, and put the phone down. I sent an email confirming details of conversation and that we would like the 5 tickets without checked baggage at the quoted price.
The next day I received a full refund to my credit card, without explanation.
I emailed again asking the reason for the refund, such as the flights had been mistakenly mispriced online, and received no reply (several days have passed since).
I am not out of pocket, other than for my time wasted.
However my experience tells me pretty clearly, as other people have written, that they deliberately quote very cheap prices and then try to upsell baggage - which in this case would have resulted in a price higher than booking direct with Thai Airways.
They also do not have a live booking system. Any booking made is a “request”, payment is taken in full, and they then process manually when back in office hours. They are also not fully ATOL protected, but use a lightweight (read: low cost, to them) version of the system via PTS.
Absolutely pointless waste of time dealing with them. Use a main aggregator booking site like Expedia or Momondo instead, or book direct with airline.
Original booking felt like a placeholder to drag me into paying more
Very poor experience with Sky Wizard. After booking flights, I spotted a date mistake the next morning and messaged them immediately via WhatsApp, while no tickets or booking reference had been issued.
Instead of helping, this appeared to give them time to return with a prepared response. When they called, Ricky (I’m assuming this is his call centre name) told me nothing could be changed and steered me into a second booking, while making it seem like they were doing me a *favour*. I was also told the original booking didn’t include luggage, despite this being clearly shown as included on their website.
During the call, I noticed that their own system had inflated prices by around 30% for the same route and airline I had originally booked, making alternatives look worse. Ricky then suggested a different airline. Although this new booking was actually cheaper for them, I was still charged an additional £894, meaning the agent benefited by around £1,000 overall.
I only agreed because my original payment was still pending and my bank said it was a dispute between me and the merchant, leaving me worried about losing the original amount. As both payments have now cleared, I’ve raised a chargeback with the bank.
Overall, the experience felt high-pressure, profit-driven, and like a fraud. Proceed with caution.
For clarity, I did not request a full itinerary change. I contacted SkyWizard the morning after booking solely to correct an incorrect date selection while the booking was still pending and before any ticket or booking reference had been issued.
Any discussion of alternative dates or airlines occurred only after I was told the original booking could not be amended. Any suggestion that I requested a voluntary or full itinerary change is inaccurate and does not reflect the reason I initially contacted SkyWizard.

After missing my flight in Kingston
After missing my flight in Kingston, Jamaica, due traffic problems, I email Ricky who sent me a reply with new flight for two days extra at very high price, I had decline same.
I email him requesting the refund of airport tax since Sept 2025, and I still wait for refund without any reply, after sending two letters regarding same.

The 3.8 rating is not representative - trustpilot need to weed out fake reviews. Some of the 24% 1 star reviews need to be up the top. Suffice to say these are scammers and will take your credit card payment then contact you with a reason why the flights not available at that price. Despite promising me a refund initially this is now something i have to wait for apparently. I will be pursuing all legal channels.
UPDATE - thank you for agreeing to refund. Its a shame I had to push so hard for this, you were telling me i had to wait to see if the flight was actually bookable. I am afraid I don't believe you on the rest of it and my comment stands.
