13-9: problem solved! FINALLY simo solved my problem with Skyroam payment.

Skyroam IS NOT SAFE. They collect daypass money from your creditcard and not willing to help you out who did this. In May we used internet payed by our creditcard for 11 days. 3 months later they start collecting money. From the moment I complain about 1 false collecting they start almost every day collecting money incorrect from our creditcard while I am in The Netherlands and not in the US

I like the device put beware, if you sign up the subscription will renew with no notification. I thought I was just buying one month. 7 months later I find out i payed 693 dollars for nothing. Read the contract! Borderline deceptive business practices. Called customer service and told them my concern, and the first thing the customer service agent(outsourced to India) said was, Did you read the contract and no, we don't send renewal emails on your plan. Beware!

I bought the SOLIS device to help me during my travel and it did not because it was acting funny and not connecting me to any WIFI, tried to contact the customer service but no way because there is no internet around. After my travel the SOLIS company told me in chat, that you needed to troubleshot (But how genius if I am not connected to WIFI?), I will never deal with them again, just waste of time and money, not to trust it again.

While I am pleased with the Solis Skyroam wifi, Solis has failed to provide me with data, after my purchase. Additionally, Solis ignored my inquiries.

There is so much wrong with all of this company. However, the one star rating is due to the fact I raised a complain in early December 2021, much much chasing and all I wanted was a call with someone senior to discuss the situation. However, they simply refuse to have the call and everytime I email I have to re-explain everything that was wrong!
You have to buy another device so that you can access non-3G but my machine was only 2 years old so not sure why I should have to do that! Pathetic excuse for a company! Also Trust Pilot is rubbish in itself as it seems you can't put a complaint more than a year old!

Our experience was disappointing from the beginning. There was no option for expedited shipping, and even though the shipping said 3-5 business days, our unit which was ordered on the 23rd, but didn't arrive until the 3rd. Even accounting for the holidays this is significantly longer than 5 days.
Set up was simple enough, but the connection was mediocre at best. If there was a crowd or we were in any sort of building, there was no internet. After a little over a week it stopped connecting at all.
Support was friendly, but the extent of the solutions were restarting the unit multiple ways. None of those worked.

I purchased this for use at my off grid cottage, for hockey games. Works amazing

I used Skyroam Soli on my trip to South-Amerika in the last of couple of months. It worked excellent and I can only recommend it.

Recently purchased a Solis Lite for a trip to Europe. I used it successfully in France, Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal. In most locations, the speed was very good (download of 15 to 30 Mbps).
It was quite simple to set up and use.
We will only be using it for trips outside the country, so I took the "Global-Pay-per-GB" plan (no throttling, and the Gigabytes don't expire).

Worked well and made keeping in touch super easy!

I purchased this allowing myself the ability to work from home/remote. Solis is easy to set up right out of the box with simple step by step instructions making it easy to get connected to WiFi fast and with ease. Wide variety of plans to pay as you go (pay per GB) or as a subscription service. Device kept connection for entire day while using and I even conducted a few zoom calls with this. Highly recommend!

It's just so easy to use! I travel extensively across Europe for work, and I always have my "little orange puck" to keep me online. It just simply works: press the button and a moment later I'm online. I use it mostly in Europe but have also used it in Vietnam, Cambodia, South Africa, and Morocco. Heard from a friend using their older Solis 2G. She is happy with the service every time traveling outside of the US. She said she will need to upgrade her device. So I wanted to get one early this year, but Solis Lite was out of stock for a long time. I was happy when I received an email announcing the device is now available online!! So far, I only have good things to say about the product and service. LOVE the Pay-Per-GB package and NO monthly fee!! Highly recommended if you are looking to have a hotspot device when traveling.

It is easy to use. Versatile because the product itself can be used not only for wifi but also as a powerbank. It is ver portable and light. Lastly, the customer service are very helpful.

I was looking for a solution to cut my cable bill on my motorhome. After lots of research and reading reviews, I decided that the Solis Lite was going to provide me the solution to stream video and audio as well as internet access for my PC. Well, the Solis Lite solved all those issues and gave me a wonderful experience traveling without paying the high cost of DirectTV. The pay as you go is the way to go! Great job!!!

We were travelling through France,Spain and Portugal and having the solis hotspot saved us. We were always able to use our google maps and access our emails etc

I've been to Vietnam, China, Japan with Solis ~ The plan is too expensive. Other than that, the mechanical performance is very good. I will use it for many flights in the future, but it is a good machine that I would definitely recommend to nearby pilots.
