Won't ever buy or rent another ResMed product.
My wife couldn't wear the CPAP after getting it home. The store where we purchased it and ResMed won't refund our initial payment of $181.25. My wife only tried the mask on, she never used the machine. What a rip-off.
THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Faulty equipment
So having been on cpap for 28 yrs, i have a pretty good understanding how the cpaps work. The particular one im using has failed to reach the pressures it's supposed to on multiple occassions.that the first problem. 2nd their reps are un trained i ve been told to "move furniture in room and plug into different walls", been told" nothing can be done", been told" I don't know i can't explain it". Told to Unplug and plug back in... for a 1k piece of equipment you would think it should work reliably consistently. Can it be just a bad cpap? No one seems to think that but me.called resmed directly was told there's nothing they can do, to call rep again. So no i wouldn't recommend resmed I'd say check their competitors first.
A place where you will take verbal…
A place where you will take verbal abuse daily natraully for A customer care job, but are expected to take it and give a 3 warning chance to the patient while they are swearing and calling you names, the lack of compassion there is down hill, the pay is way below average for the abuse you have to take, the expectations are high and you are thrown into the job to be expected to be some specialist after 2 days and are graded on your performance and the company makes you feel like you are in kindergarten. Would never work or recommend this company to anyone!
Incredibly poor quality and overpriced
ResMed’s products are overpriced, the quality is shocking and the customer service is non-existent. A plastic and fabric mask costs around £100, and instantly bobbles / elastic snaps. I’ve had this happen twice. Because they have a monopoly, they can charge exorbitant amounts.
The humidifier started leaking after…
The humidifier started leaking after about 2 months. The main issue was I couldn't find any customer service to complain to or get a replacement.
I recently switched from the Philips…
I recently switched from the Philips DreamStation to the ResMed AirSense 11 CPAP machine. At first, I was impressed that it could automatically adjust the temperature and humidity. However, I’ve run into several issues:
Small water chamber – The chamber is very small and runs out of water quickly.
Humidity/heat settings – I didn’t want to use heat or humidity during the summer, so I turned those settings off. But then I received a message saying they should be set to “Auto” to avoid a dry nose. After switching to Auto, I now wake up with severe dry mouth—a problem I never had before. Why does the machine cause discomfort both when humidity/heat are off and when they are on Auto?
Tubing quality – The tubing is very stiff. Interestingly, the tubing that came with my Philips CPAP (made by ResMed) was soft and flexible. Why isn’t ResMed providing the same quality tubing for their own machine?
App feedback – I receive daily notes from ResMed on my phone, but all they offer are videos and articles. Why isn’t there a way to submit my concerns directly through the app?
Customer support – Why doesn’t ResMed provide direct customer support for users?
The Resmed Airsense is my 4th CPAP…
The Resmed Airsense is my 4th CPAP machine. All of them have been Resmed machines but this will be my last. This is the first machine I've had that runs out of water mid-night. The reservoir is ridiculously small. I am also experiencing severe dry mouth for the first time. I feel like I am stuck with this machine for the next 4-7 years. Horrible machine.
This breathing machine is exceptional…
This breathing machine is exceptional in every way. The build quality is outstanding, with thoughtful design evident in every component. Everything works flawlessly together, the physical device, functionality, and app integration create a seamless experience. It's rare to find a product where every detail has been so carefully considered and executed. This is what quality engineering looks like.
Terrible
Awful I’m having a terrible time with dry mouth and rainout using ResMed machine with humidifier. Best stick to another brand if you want no manufacturer faults !
Resmed needs to hire some actual…
Resmed needs to hire some actual engineers who have to use this product. Why would you attach the voltage converter to the electric plug??? If you are traveling in any foreign country, you must use an electric converter because US plugs don’t work anywhere else. The plug with the converter is so heavy that it it unstabilizes your system and it unplugs itself. This is just idiotic.
A) why not design a system that doesn’t have to convert voltage (like an Apple phone, etc).
B) put the heavy converter/transformer into the damn machine (not into the plug). The converter/transformer is almost as heavy as the machine alone.
C) if the only travel you do is American, you have on blinders. Wake up.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Get hung up on, they are VERY RUDE. I’ve had to call three times & each person gives a different answer.
Silicon part of the mask is extremely delicate which gets a cut frequently
The silicon part of the mask is extremely thin which gets a cut almost every month as a result had ordered new mask but it again got a cut. That's why ordered for Airfit f20 mask cushion this time but it has no gap so as to fit the strap. Kindly ask care team to guide else process the refund.
Please improve quality of mask cushion....it should not result in spending money frequently from our end....
ResMed Shop Poor Service on Multiple…
ResMed Shop Poor Service on Multiple Fronts-BEWARE
I am a physician, software developer, and 5-year CPAP user of a ResMed 10 that was purchased through my hospital. I need an AirMini for easier travel, and my hospital does not stock this device. I thought buying it from the ResMed shop seemed like a good idea...until:
1) HORRIBLE ORDERING PROCESS. Even though I'm already a ResMed 10 user, ResMed could not provide me an easy way to get the supposedly FDA required prescription for this device which has the same intended use. I think this is a misreading of the FDA rules. I was required to visit my physician in person only to get this prescription, and the physician made it sound easy to get the prescription, but this was not something he could hand to me...it had to be done in ResMed's form, and despite this being a sleep center, it took several MyChart messages and phone calls to complete the process. My time, my physician's time, his office's time, all wasted...and this is a major sleep center. Resmed can't be bothered to work with these providers to make an easier process. I complained directly to them about this, and they just lazily pointed at the FDA and Medicare as the problem. No Resmed, talk to these Sleep Centers and find a better way.
2) MEDIOCRE "SHOP" SITE MEDIATING SALE. "Shop" with its dumb confusing name also acts incredibly dumb...many of the emails it sends do not contain the order number. It also seeks to suck up your phone number and get you into their vampire loyalty program. It does not allow easy tracking of past orders, etc. There is no central place to request returns.
3) POOR GUIDANCE IN ORDERING AIRMINI. All or most AirMini users will not be new to CPAP. I saw the AirMini information, but it did not make clear that the hose for the ResMed 10 does not work on the AirMini. I received the AirMini today, only to find that I did not order the right things. A good store would realize this is a common problem. Again, when I complained, they just said if you need tubing, order it. They don't care about your experience.
4) POOR RETURN POLICY. I looked at the AirMini, and thought that the Travel Bag accessory seemed like a good idea...until I got it. It is too heavy and bigger than it needs to be. ResMed's return policy is that it must be unopened and unused. Mine is unused and pristine, but I opened the clear plastic bag it was in thinking that perhaps there was tubing in it (it seemed possible because it is so heavy). I asked to return it, but ResMed refused because the plastic bag is opened. DON'T BUY THIS TRAVEL BAG, AND DON'T OPEN ANYTHING BEFORE YOU ARE SURE YOU WON'T RETURN IT.
Avoid using ResMed shop if you can!
ResMed Warranty Support - Epic Fail
It seems that ResMed’s customer service relies on both human representatives and AI bots, but the experience is frustrating and unproductive.
I’m dealing with a situation where my DME (Home Medical Provider) for my CPAP machine has gone out of business, and I require warranty support. When I contacted ResMed’s customer service, I spoke with “Scott” at 1-800-424-0737. His demeanor was aggressive, unhelpful, and dismissive. He repeatedly stated that he “did not know” how to resolve the issue and outright refused to escalate my request when I asked.
In Canada, ResMed’s system relies heavily on DMEs or Home Care Providers, and the majority refuse to assist unless you originally purchased the machine from them. If you move, or your provider closes down, you’re essentially left without options. This forces customers into buying a new machine, regardless of need.
DMEs are now a dime a dozen, with prices on machines varying significantly. ResMed worsens the situation by requiring customers to go back to their original DME for any support while providing no direct help of their own.
In my opinion, ResMed Canada operates without ethics. Their refusal to assist customers directly, combined with unmotivated, gangsta style, and unprofessional customer service representatives, highlights their lack of accountability. ResMed seems to prioritize profit over customer care, leaving consumers stranded in situations they didn’t create.
what a crap website
what a crap website, I accidentally put something in the 'cart' and then it wouldn't let me remove it so my wife had to do the order. Then when paying for that and I had forgotten my password it just would'nt accept me pressing 'forgotten password' SORT IT OUT
My ResMed Airsense 10 has failed while…
My ResMed Airsense 10 has failed while under warranty. Unfortunately the dealer told me that there are no repair centers in Italy and the device should be sent to Germany for repair. Once repaired it will have to be sent back to Italy. I was told that I must expect 2 to 3 months to get the device working again. In addition, there is no provision for a temporary replacement device except for rental with costs of 150 euros. It seems to me that ResMed does not care about the fragility of patients with respiratory diseases; it is a pity because the device is useful (when it works).
